I could not recommend this veterinary hospital more. The doctor and staff have compassion and care about every animal that walks in the door. The hospital is clean and well organized. The entire staff is very knowledgeable and answer every question I had about my pets care. The hospital usually has availability within two days to see my pets for both routine and sick visits. Dr. Distler has lots of experience and treats my pets with care. Both of my kitties have had surgical procedures done this past year and they feel so much better now. She even deals with my spicy kitty and makes the appointments as stress free as possible for everyone!

I have so much love and appreciation for Etown Animal Hospital. Hands down, the best animal hospital I’ve ever been to! Everyone there is incredibly compassionate and knowledgeable, and they truly care about every pet that walks through their doors. The vet takes the time to explain everything thoroughly and make sure you feel confident in the care your animal is receiving. The facility is clean, well-organized, and welcoming, which really helps to ease the stress of a vet visit. From routine check-ups to surgeries, they handle everything with professionalism and warmth. I trust them completely with my pet’s health and highly recommend them to anyone looking for exceptional care!

The only place I will take any animal. A friend referred me to Dr. Distler a few years ago. My cat had an ear hematoma and Dr. Distler did the surgery. His ear healed perfectly with no scar tissue, doesn’t feel or look like he had surgery. Had weekly follow up appointments for 3 weeks at no charge minus maybe one med fill. I have seen another cat with the same surgery done by another vet a few months ago and was shocked at the difference. Their ear was hard and deformed, and was informed their vet did not need any follow up appointments. They also paid double what I paid! The proof is in Dr. Distler's work! An honest, genuine, affordable vet would seem hard to find. She tops all expectations. Her staff is the best and treat my cat like their own. We always leave appointments talking about how much we love this place. I refer everyone who asks to this place and will continue to do so. I drive from Harrisburg with no complaints. Trust me it’s worth it. 1st picture is one week after surgery. 2nd is a little over two months. ****his ear was clipped as a rescue prior to any of Dr.Distler’s services***

Worst experience ever. The vet was rude and nasty. I have broken ribs and fluid on my lung and was told not to work because they are afraid of me getting pneumonia. I Said I couldn't afford doing over $700 in testing for my dog. I was degraded and was told by the vet that she didn't have anyone to take care of her and she had to work with broken ribs. I don't have any one to take care of me. I worked my ass off to raise my my two sons with no child support or welfare. So I'm sorry the past year my mom passed away and I lost my job and now my new job pays half of what I use to make but even with everything I'm surviving. Then to give my dog a shot that cost $50 without asking me and knowing my situation. I will never go back there and Good for you for working with broken ribs and your knees but I'm going by what my doctor says and live off my little bit of savings. And just like my sons even though money is tight i still take care of my babies. Aka my son's and my dogs. I will never go back there again. The vet can just keep judging.STAY away unless you want to be judged and charged without being asked. I was never asked or approved a shot. I approved his anal glands being done and his nails being cut.they took him out of the room to do it. When they brought him back i was told he was given antibiotics. I was told because he has a heart murmer that he should have blood work and xrays and was given a quote before I left. When I left I was charged for the antibiotic shot i never was asked about and wouldn't approve of because he was being sent home with antibiotics and he has never had to have a shot before for his anal glands.

Please DO NOT take your animals here. After expressing concerns of possible stomach issues after the vaccines my dog was due for, the nurse and doctor began invalidating my concerns in a different room where they thought I could not hear them. As the vet said, “it’s just diarrhea, it’s not like his dog is going to die”. This was after I explained how previous vets gave her a pre treatment medication to alleviate the symptoms, they were unsure what that could have been and blamed me for being unaware, while declining to offer the same care other vets have given her. The nurse also suggested I allow them to give my dog three vaccines after I expressed concerns of this being too much and preferring to schedule several appointments for each separate vaccine. Please do not take your animals here, it is clear they do not care about the health of your pets or your concerns for your pets health.
