I am a new cat owner, I made appointment for my cat's vaccine and exam. They quote me about 150 for the first visit. Today I went to the appointment, and afterward they charged me 200 plus on top of the 87 deposit, so about 300 dollar for the first visit. Never once during the whole process, they informed us that certain exams they did cost extra. The whole situation was not transparent. You really shouldn't do "extra services" without informing the customer about the price. We thought the first visit will be about 150 and second visit is about 50. Transparency is important when doing business. Just letting other people know about my experience, so they can be better prepared when making appointment at this place.

Edmonds Veterinary Hospital Introduce

Welcome to Edmonds Veterinary Hospital, a pet hospital located in Edmonds, Washington, dedicated to providing veterinary care for your animal companions. As a provider within the platform category of Pet Hospital, Edmonds Veterinary Hospital offers a range of services, including routine check-ups, vaccinations, and care for urgent medical needs. Reviews from local pet owners present a somewhat mixed picture, with one highlighting exceptional care and understanding for pets with anxiety, particularly praising Dr. Fry and her team, while another expresses significant concerns regarding transparency in billing practices for initial visits.

Information regarding the specific environment of Edmonds Veterinary Hospital is limited in the provided reviews. However, the positive account emphasizes the team's efforts to ensure that two cats with severe vet anxiety are as comfortable as possible during every appointment. This suggests a calm and patient-centered environment where the well-being of anxious animals is prioritized. The ability to accommodate urgent appointments quickly also implies an efficient and responsive practice. While the negative review does not comment on the physical environment, the focus on a lack of transparency in billing suggests that the administrative processes might not be as clear as some clients expect. Overall, the positive feedback points towards a caring and accommodating clinical environment, while the negative feedback raises questions about the clarity of financial communications.

Edmonds Veterinary Hospital offers a range of veterinary services expected from a pet hospital. These include routine vaccinations and examinations, as mentioned by the new cat owner. The positive review highlights their ability to handle urgent appointments and provide advice and suggestions over the phone for issues arising between appointments, indicating a commitment to ongoing care and support for pet owners. The expertise in making cats with severe vet anxiety comfortable suggests experience in behavioral management and a gentle approach to handling sensitive animals. However, the negative review details an experience where the final charge for a first visit significantly exceeded the initial quote, with additional exams seemingly performed without clear upfront communication about the extra costs. This discrepancy suggests that while the hospital offers standard veterinary services, the transparency surrounding the pricing of these services, especially for initial visits involving potentially additional procedures, may be an area for improvement.

A notable feature of Edmonds Veterinary Hospital, as highlighted in one review, is the exceptional care provided by Dr. Fry and her entire team. Their dedication to ensuring that pets with severe anxiety are as comfortable as possible is a significant strength. The team's willingness to go "above & beyond" in this regard, along with their ability to fit in urgent appointments and provide phone advice, demonstrates a high level of commitment to their patients and clients. This level of attentive and compassionate care can be a crucial factor for pet owners dealing with anxious animals or unexpected health issues. In contrast, the negative review points to a potential lack of transparency in billing, where the cost of a first visit escalated significantly beyond the initial quote without clear communication about the additional charges for "extra services." This suggests a potential disconnect between the quality of medical care and the clarity of financial transactions.

The conflicting nature of the reviews presents a nuanced picture of Edmonds Veterinary Hospital. While the positive review emphasizes the amazing and caring team, particularly their skill in handling anxious pets and providing responsive support, the negative review raises serious concerns about the transparency of their billing practices, especially for new clients undergoing initial examinations and vaccinations. Potential clients may need to weigh these contrasting experiences when considering Edmonds Veterinary Hospital for their pet's care. The positive feedback suggests a high level of medical care and client support, while the negative feedback underscores the importance of clear and upfront communication regarding all potential costs associated with veterinary services.

Based on the information available, a key feature of Edmonds Veterinary Hospital appears to be their exceptional ability to provide compassionate and effective care for pets with anxiety, as lauded by one reviewer. The responsiveness of the team in accommodating urgent appointments and offering phone advice also stands out. However, a potential area for improvement, as indicated by another reviewer's experience, is the transparency of their billing practices, particularly regarding the costs of additional services beyond the initial consultation fee. Prospective clients may want to inquire specifically about all potential charges for examinations, vaccinations, and any other recommended procedures before proceeding with treatment to avoid unexpected expenses.

Currently, the provided reviews do not mention any specific promotional offers for Edmonds Veterinary Hospital. Pet hospitals may occasionally offer introductory discounts for new clients or specials on certain services. To learn about any potential promotions, it is recommended to contact the clinic directly at (425) 775-3449 or +1 425-775-3449. Inquiring about their current offers and their policies regarding estimates for services, especially for first-time visits, could be beneficial for prospective clients.

In conclusion, Edmonds Veterinary Hospital in Edmonds, Washington, offers a team, led by Dr. Fry, that is praised for its amazing and caring approach, particularly in making pets with severe anxiety comfortable and providing responsive support. However, a significant concern has been raised regarding the transparency of billing practices for initial visits, where the final cost reportedly exceeded the initial quote without clear communication about additional charges. Prospective clients may want to consider both aspects of these reviews when making a decision about their pet's care. While the quality of medical care and the team's compassion appear to be strong points, ensuring clear and upfront communication about all potential costs is advisable when engaging their services.

Dr. Fry and her entire team are absolutely amazing! The team has gone above & beyond to ensure our two cats with severe vet anxiety are as comfortable as possible and well cared for during every appointment. They've been able to fit us in quickly for urgent appointments, and they provide advice and suggestions over the phone for any issues that arise between appointments --- we'd give 10 stars if we could! 馃ぉ

The staff are all extremely helpful and caring, including the reception/admins. They pay attention and remember things about thwir customers and naturally make effort. They do their best successfully to get you an appointment when you need one. Dr. Fry performed a physical exam of my 4 year old golden retriever when she was sick and was able to identify that her lymph nodes were inflamed, even though it didn't seem relevant. She made the decision to biopsy to be safe and ended up saving my girl's life, as although she was very young, she was positive for Lymphoma and wouldn't have made it if we hadn't caught it and started chemo right away with an Oncologist. Highly recommend this vet office and am so happy to have a reliable and trustworthy vet for my babies. Thank you!

Dr. Fry has a patient and loving approach with our dogs, and we always trust her advice and care philosophy so that our pups can be as happy and healthy as possible. One of our dogs is severely reactive and Edmonds Veterinary Hospital is great at accommodating his needs despite the hassle.
