I want to share my experience at Eclipse Animal Hospital so others can make informed decisions and, hopefully, avoid the grief I went through. In December 2024, right before Christmas, my husband gifted me a 4-month-old Persian kitten named Baby. Knowing that Persian cats are prone to health issues, I scheduled a vet visit the day after adoption. My regular vet noticed signs of nystagmus (rapid eye movement) and suspected an inner ear infection, but something didn’t sit right with me. Concerned, I took Baby to Eclipse Animal Hospital for a second opinion—something I now deeply regret. - Lack of Proper Care and Urgency - At Eclipse, Baby was suspected to have FIP (a feline coronavirus), but despite their diagnosis, they failed to provide urgent, supportive care. Over three days, my biggest concern—Baby not eating—was ignored. I repeatedly expressed my worries and even requested a feeding tube, but they dismissed it as “unnecessary.” Instead, they sent me home with instructions to bring him back if he didn’t eat in 24 hours—despite the fact that he hadn’t eaten for 72 hours prior. They advised against force-feeding him due to the risk of choking, yet never attempted to assist with feeding themselves. By the third day, Baby’s condition had deteriorated severely. His blood sugar was dangerously low—because he hadn’t been eating. With no real options left, we were forced to make the heartbreaking decision to euthanize him on December 4, 2024. - Unprofessional Handling of Finances - As we were going through the euthanasia process, Eclipse informed us that the FIP test they had sent out never reached the lab, so they refunded us $1,276.32. Given the thousands of dollars we had already spent, this didn’t seem unusual at the time. However, weeks later, right around the holidays, they contacted me demanding the money back—claiming they had refunded me another patient’s money by mistake. After everything I had been through, they harassed me with calls and emails, acting as if their financial mistake was somehow my fault. - Final Thoughts - This experience was devastating. Baby was failed at every turn—by a lack of urgency, poor communication, and a failure to provide necessary care. The financial mishandling only added to the stress and frustration. My advice? Seek multiple opinions, go to a specialist immediately if your pet is diagnosed with something serious, and do not trust Eclipse Animal Hospital with your pet’s life. I would never return, and I strongly urge others to take their beloved animals elsewhere.

Absolutely terrific care! I’ve been here twice. The first time was after two different hospitals charged me thousands, told me they didn’t know what was wrong with my dog, and said he was going to die. Eclipse reviewed the medical reports from both hospitals, did imaging, and assured me he was not dying. They diagnosed him with IBD, and all he needed was a simple diet change. I returned today after my dog had multiple bloody stools just a few days after being sprayed by a skunk. They could have easily charged me thousands for unnecessary testing, like I’m sure the previous hospitals would have. Instead, they performed a thorough physical examination, took his vitals, observed him, and talked everything through with me—all while calming me down since I was feeling a little panicky. Honestly, I will never go to another hospital. My dog will be a patient for life. Everyone here is incredibly friendly and kind—from the front desk staff to the techs to the doctors. They have all been compassionate and caring. On top of the excellent care, the place is beautiful! The waiting area has a nice lobby vibe with comfy couches and a coffee bar. The exam rooms are spacious, clean, and have glass doors. I 100% recommend them!

My vet referred us because my dog had a limp and they were unsure why. I have to say, they were kind, compassionate and thorough. They recommended and imaging and biopsy, as she was able to identify a mass. The day of the procedure, they did imaging and when they realized her prognosis was way worse than we imagined, they contacted me and asked if we could skip the biopsy to avoid putting her through unnecessary pain and recovery. They are not about financial gain, worked well with care credit and were compassionate in conveying the worst possible scenario. Although we probably won’t be back due to my pups sickness, I would 100000% recommend them to family and friends. Thank you ❤️ Well, I said I wouldn’t be back and here I am, my pup declined quickly last weekend and we came back for euthanasia. The entire process was smooth, filled with compassion and support. I can not speak enough great things, they had a book for my 5 year old to bring home and the staff, they were professional but you could feel how much they cared. Although this is the worst possible visit, I am thankful for Eclipse for giving my baby dignity in death. 💔

From the moment I arrived, the staff was professional, attentive, and genuinely caring. Unlike my previous experience, where I was sent home with vague instructions, the team at Eclipse took my concerns seriously and acted quickly. They thoroughly assessed my dog, confirmed the need for emergency surgery, and wasted no time in providing the necessary treatment. The entire team, from the front desk to the veterinarians and surgical staff, showed true compassion and expertise. They kept me informed every step of the way, explaining everything in detail and making sure I understood the treatment plan. Their communication, professionalism, and level of care were outstanding. Thanks to Eclipse, my dog is now happy, healthy, and back to her playful self. I brought my 7 year old rescue mix to Eclipse who had not been feeling well for a month. He was having trouble walking and was clearly in pain. I went on recommendation of my vet and a friend who had also used them. We met with a neurologist, Dr. Feffer and Sheyanne for a consult and scheduled surgery for the next day. Sheyanne was with me from start to finish. She was incredibly kind and present throughout the entire process. She took the time to sit with me, walk me through every step of the procedure, and make sure I understood what to expect. For example, my Bo was going to be shaved in lots of places, some unexpected! Her warmth and patience made such a difference. One of the most thoughtful gestures was when she sent us a photo of Bo after his surgery to let us know he was doing well—it truly put the whole family’s mind at ease. When we returned to have the stitches out, my dog was happy to go in and even recognized Sheyanne, doing his special ‘hello’ for only the best people. Bo developed a double ear infection because…why not?..and she helped diagnose and treat that. Dr. Feffer was equally outstanding. He got down on the floor with Bo and put him at ease. He had a calm and professional demeanor made a stressful situation so much easier. He took the time to sit with us, clearly explain the possible diagnoses, and walk us through the costs and risks of the procedure. The communication on the day of the surgery was excellent, and I always felt like Bo was in the best hands. Thanks to the entire team, Bo is now on the mend, clearly feeling better because he is prancing around like a puppy. We are beyond grateful for the exceptional level of care and compassion we received.
