I visited for my puppy’s first exam, and while the receptionist Meredith and nurse Paige were kind, the doctor skipped basic checks like ears, teeth, temperature, and heartbeat. I had to call and email for two days to get the health report in time for my breeder. At the initial visit, we delayed vaccines due to my pup’s cough. When I scheduled a follow-up, receptionist Michelle was rude and condescending in her explanation about pricing, even suggesting I cancel. The lack of thorough care, follow-up, and professionalism was disappointing. I regret choosing this practice for my puppy’s first vet visit, as I missed the chance for a proper health evaluation.

Welcome to East Mill Animal Hospital

Welcome to East Mill Animal Hospital, a Pet Hospital located at 57 High St, North Andover, MA 01845, USA, dedicated to providing veterinary care for your animal companions. We understand that choosing the right veterinary practice for your pet is an important decision, and we strive to offer a range of services to meet their healthcare needs. At East Mill Animal Hospital, our team is committed to the well-being of your pets, and we aim to create a comfortable and supportive environment for both you and your furry family members.

While specific details about the physical environment of East Mill Animal Hospital are not extensively described in the provided reviews, it's important to note the varying experiences shared by pet owners regarding their visits. One customer recounted a positive first visit, highlighting the comforting experience provided to their anxious dog, Louise. They specifically praised the precautions taken to minimize the dog's nervousness and the helpful advice given on preparing for future visits. This suggests that the hospital staff is attentive to the emotional needs of pets and strives to create a calming atmosphere.

However, another customer reported a less satisfactory experience during their puppy's first exam. While they acknowledged the kindness of the receptionist Meredith and nurse Paige, they expressed concern that basic checks such as ears, teeth, temperature, and heartbeat were omitted during the examination. They also mentioned difficulties in obtaining the health report in a timely manner, requiring multiple calls and emails. This feedback indicates potential inconsistencies in the thoroughness of examinations and the efficiency of follow-up communication.

Regarding services, East Mill Animal Hospital offers initial examinations, as evidenced by the puppy's first visit. Vaccinations are also part of their service offerings, although one customer chose to delay them due to their puppy's cough. The scheduling of follow-up appointments is also a service provided. However, the experience of one client scheduling a follow-up was negative, citing rudeness and condescension from a receptionist regarding pricing and even a suggestion to cancel the appointment. This suggests potential issues with customer service and communication regarding fees.

In terms of features, East Mill Animal Hospital appears to have staff members who are capable of providing a comforting experience for anxious pets, as noted in one positive review. The willingness to offer advice on how to prepare an anxious pet for future visits indicates a proactive approach to addressing the emotional well-being of their patients. However, the contrasting negative experiences highlight potential inconsistencies in the overall quality of care and professionalism.

One of the key features that emerges from the reviews is the variability in the thoroughness of the veterinary examinations. The omission of basic checks during a puppy's first exam, as reported by one customer, raises concerns about the standard of care provided in all cases. This lack of a comprehensive initial evaluation could potentially lead to missed health issues and may not meet the expectations of all pet owners seeking a thorough veterinary assessment.

Another feature, based on the negative follow-up experience, is a potential lack of consistent professionalism in customer service. Rudeness and condescension from staff members can significantly detract from the overall client experience and may impact a pet owner's confidence in the practice. Clear, respectful, and transparent communication regarding pricing and appointment scheduling is crucial for building trust and maintaining positive client relationships.

The delay and difficulty in obtaining a health report for the puppy also point to potential challenges in administrative processes and communication between the veterinary team and pet owners. Timely and accurate sharing of medical information is essential for informed decision-making about a pet's health, especially when dealing with time-sensitive requirements such as providing records to a breeder.

Currently, there is no specific promotional information available in the provided reviews for East Mill Animal Hospital. Pet owners interested in learning about any special offers or discounts are advised to contact the hospital directly at (978) 933-9339 or +1 978-933-9339. Inquiring about their current pricing for various services, including initial exams, vaccinations, and follow-up consultations, would also be beneficial in making an informed decision about your pet's care.

In conclusion, East Mill Animal Hospital in North Andover, MA, presents a mixed picture based on the available customer reviews. While some pet owners have reported positive experiences, particularly regarding the care of anxious pets, others have raised concerns about the thoroughness of examinations, the professionalism of some staff members, and the efficiency of administrative processes. It is important for potential clients to consider these varying perspectives when making a decision about their pet's veterinary care. Direct communication with the hospital to discuss their specific needs and expectations may be beneficial in determining if East Mill Animal Hospital is the right fit for their beloved companions.

We had our first visit at East Mill today and had the most comforting experience. My dog Louise is a really anxious baby and they took every precaution to not further her nervousness and also gave advice on how to prepare her for her next visit too. Thanks so much to every person who works there, we really appreciate you!

I recently discovered that Dr Odell and Michelle who both worked at my last vet clinic ( which is great) opened a new practice in North Andover , I was eager to bring my new puppy Teddy there for his future services. After touring the new office I was blown away by their office, equipment , their staff, just everything. Teddy was due for neuter and I brought him Wednesday Feb 12. They treated Teddy like a superstar , caring and totally professional. The cost was less than the estimate and worth every penny. I so highly reccomend East Mill Animal Hospital you will not be disappointed Marc Shaffer

Recently took my puppy, Vala, to East Mill for a routine check up & puppy vaccines. We were immediately put at ease by Michelle & Heather, who greeted us and took our info. Dr O'Dell & Paige were patient with Vala & she was so lovingly examined & treated. I was impressed by the entire experience! I left feeling completely confident with my choice of East Mill for my puppy!

I visited East Mill Animal Hospital this morning for my puppy’s (and my) first vet visit and I was very pleased with the care my little baby received here. Dr. O’Dell, Paige and Michele were the sweetest people, I immediately felt welcome and comfortable being there. These ladies absolutely love what they do and loveee animals and that is exactly what I was looking for when it comes to taking my puppy to a veterinarian. I was not left confused because Paige and Dr. O’Dell explained the process of treatment for my puppy and his antibiotics very clearly. I am so glad I have found an amazing hospital for my puppy baby!
