Welcome to Eagle Fern Equine Hospital

Welcome to the introduction of Eagle Fern Equine Hospital, a dedicated veterinary care provider specializing in the health and well-being of horses. Operating under the platform category of "Pet Hospital," Eagle Fern Equine Hospital aims to serve the local equine community with a range of essential veterinary services and potentially related goods. Located at 28255 SE Eagle Creek Rd, Estacada, OR 97023, USA, the hospital can be contacted via phone at (503) 630-4558 or mobile phone at +1 503-630-4558.

Based on available information, including customer reviews, it is important for prospective clients to consider the varying perspectives presented. One review highlights "amazing service" with a prompt response during an emergency and reasonable pricing. This suggests a potential strength in their emergency care capabilities and fair cost structure at a certain point in time.

However, another review presents a contrasting viewpoint, stating that under new ownership, the business has become "sleazy, deceitful, and exploitive." This review explicitly advises former clients to seek veterinary care elsewhere. Such a starkly negative opinion warrants careful consideration and further investigation by potential new clients to ascertain the current state of the hospital's operations and service quality.

As an objective introduction based on the provided information, it is challenging to definitively describe the current environment, services, and features of Eagle Fern Equine Hospital without more comprehensive and recent details. Typically, a well-established equine hospital offers a range of services tailored to the specific needs of horses. These services often include:

General Equine Health and Wellness: This encompasses routine check-ups, vaccinations, deworming programs, and nutritional counseling to ensure the overall health and preventative care of horses.

Diagnostic Services: Equine hospitals are usually equipped with diagnostic tools such as digital radiography (X-rays), ultrasound, and laboratory services (bloodwork, fecal exams, etc.) to accurately diagnose various health conditions.

Medical Treatment: This includes the management and treatment of various medical conditions affecting horses, such as respiratory illnesses, gastrointestinal issues, metabolic disorders, and infectious diseases. This may involve medication administration, fluid therapy, and supportive care.

Surgical Procedures: Depending on the facilities and expertise available, an equine hospital may offer a range of surgical services, from routine procedures like castrations to more complex surgeries for colic, lameness issues, or injuries.

Emergency Care: As indicated by one of the reviews, emergency services are a crucial aspect of equine veterinary care. This involves the prompt assessment and treatment of critical conditions such as severe colic, lacerations, fractures, and other life-threatening situations. Availability of 24/7 emergency services can be a significant feature.

Dental Care: Equine dentistry is essential for a horse's health and performance. Services may include teeth floating, dental extractions, and treatment of dental abnormalities.

Lameness Evaluation and Treatment: Addressing lameness is a significant part of equine practice. This involves diagnosing the cause of lameness through physical examination, nerve blocks, and imaging techniques, followed by appropriate treatment, which may include medication, joint injections, or therapeutic shoeing.

Reproductive Services: For breeding farms and horse owners involved in reproduction, equine hospitals may offer services such as artificial insemination, pregnancy diagnosis, and foaling assistance.

Rehabilitation Services: Some equine hospitals may provide rehabilitation services to aid in the recovery of horses from injuries or surgery. This can include therapies like hydrotherapy, laser therapy, and controlled exercise programs.

Stabling Facilities: Clean and comfortable stalls for housing hospitalized horses, ensuring their well-being and preventing further injury.

Surgical Suites: Dedicated and sterile environments for performing surgical procedures, equipped with necessary monitoring and anesthesia equipment.

Laboratory: An on-site or readily accessible laboratory for processing diagnostic samples.

Outdoor Areas: Paddocks or small turnout areas may be available for horses during their recovery or for specific treatments.

In terms of features, a well-regarded equine hospital often boasts:

Regarding promotional information, the provided text does not contain any specific promotions. Typically, a pet hospital might promote services such as seasonal vaccination clinics, wellness packages, or discounts for new clients. However, based on the conflicting customer reviews, any potential promotional efforts should be carefully evaluated by prospective clients in conjunction with the reported experiences.

In conclusion, Eagle Fern Equine Hospital is listed under the "Pet Hospital" category and is located in Estacada, Oregon. While one past review suggests positive emergency service and pricing, a more recent review raises significant concerns about the current ownership and business practices. Potential local users are strongly advised to conduct thorough due diligence, seek recent testimonials or references, and potentially visit the facility to form their own informed opinion about the quality of care and services currently offered before entrusting their equine companions to Eagle Fern Equine Hospital.

Disregard the old reviews. Business changed owners, and the new ones are sleazy, deceitful, and exploitive. We knew the old owners and we are taking our business somewhere else.

They assisted in a Pre Purchase Exam and did a thorough and professional job and helped us feel better about the horse and his condition. They took their time and explained each step of the way and what to expect and what his reactions meant. Thank you!

Eagle Fern Equine Hospital has been caring for our horses for almost 10 years now. Our family, both two legged and four legged members, appreciate the honest and compassionate care. A special thank you to Dr. Asmar for coming up and allowing us to peacefully say goodbye to our horse Keno. Letting him go was so hard but we appreciated your kindness and assurance that we were doing the right thing. We will be loyal clients for life.

Vets here are excellent and very caring! George ate something that didn't agree with him, possibly red maple, and they are helping him through.
