Finally after years of dealing with terrible vet clinics, I have finally found one with an honest veterinarian. Dr. Hugh McClelland is an amazing man that truly cares about your pet and isn't in the business to just push for profits. While I was there, I spoke with Dr. McClelland about my dogs age and her level of activity. We discussed what vaccines she truly needed for her level of activity and it was truly enlightening that this is the first time I have ever heard a vet Dr. that knew the statistics of adverse reactions to each one of the vaccines that dogs should receive. The Dr. even suggested he prefers to space out multiple vaccines over a period of time rather than giving your pet, multiple at one time. This man is truly prolonging the lives of our pets because I feel he cares about each and every animal in his clinic as if it were his. I strongly recommend, if you are reading this, please make an appointment and go see him. Go talk to him!!! I will be referring all my friends and family with pets to come see him even if it is a little bit of a drive.

This was probably the best experience I’ve ever had at a veterinary office. I brought my snake in for an infection he has and they were able to get us in same day, even though they seemed pretty busy. We probably spent 5 minutes waiting to be seen. The staff and veterinarian were wonderful and compassionate. The vet was very thorough and took great care of my little guy. Best of all I was pleasantly surprised by how reasonable the cost was. What I paid for the exam, treatment, AND medication was about what I pay just to walk in the door at some other places. I’m going back with my cats and recommending them to everyone!

I can not say enough wonderful things about Dr. Hugh and his whole staff! He is truly so compassionate. I started bringing my anxious dog, Bunker to Dr. Hugh when I moved to the area over 3 years ago. We loved that the exams took place right in the cozy rooms (soft rugs and no medical exam tables) which helped Bunker feel more comfortable throughout the entire experience. Unfortunately, Bunker was diagnosed with nasal cancer at the age of 7, and throughout the process Dr. Hugh and his staff were extremely helpful and collaborative as we worked along side an oncologist. Dr. Hugh personally responded to my emails regarding palliative care to keep Bunker comfortable. Even during Bunker's last day with us, Dr. Hugh was calming and compassionate throughout the entire situation. Additionally, we feel that Dr. Hugh's pricing is truly affordable for the care Bunker received. We cannot recommend Durbin Creek Animal Hospital enough and know that when we decide to rescue our next fur baby, we will be using them again! Thank you!

At the beginning I thought this was going to be a good vet to take my dog. However, by the second visit the office seemed chaotic and very poorly managed. Third visit the secretary was extremely rude and unprofessional. Took her to get her nails trimmed and the sedation didn’t take, ended up paying the bill for them to try to put her under and never saw or spoke to the vet on call that day.
