Our 1st visit was the best we have ever experienced in all of our 5 dogs. Dr. Dunstan and both of his assistants did the complete visit, exam, and vaccination sitting on the floor at Willy's level. Other than the little yelp when he got the vaccination, Willy felt like he had new friends just playing and loving on him. We would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dunstan Animal Care Clinic for your fur babies and other pets!

Dr. Dunstan is exceptional. His honesty, patience, and willingness to provide thorough explanations make him a fantastic veterinarian. I truly appreciate his professionalism and the care he provides to his patients. I would rate him a perfect 10/10. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for all of his staff. I always treat others with the utmost respect, as I believe kindness is important—especially when you don’t know what others may be going through. However, one particular staff member, a veterinary assistant with long brown hair, has been consistently rude during my visits. Over the course of three or four appointments, her dismissive and condescending attitude has been both unprofessional and unsettling. What’s even more concerning is her behavior toward a newer staff member, a very polite African American woman. On multiple occasions, I’ve witnessed this assistant treating her coworker disrespectfully, with no regard for the fact that clients are present. It’s both unkind and a poor reflection on the otherwise stellar environment Dr. Dunstan and his team strive to create. A particular incident stands out. During one visit, I brought my puppy in for routine vaccinations. The assistant asked if I had any concerns, and I mentioned wondering if I should increase her feedings if she appeared hungry. Rather than providing clear information, she asked if I was sure I wanted to speak to the doctor. Confused but trusting her guidance, I said yes. When the doctor came in, he addressed my question briefly, administered the vaccine, and noted that her rabies shot should be postponed due to her weight. At checkout, I was surprised to see a $55 charge for a "sick visit." At no point was I informed that asking a simple question would incur an additional fee, nor was I given the option to decline this service. This lack of transparency felt misleading and unfair—especially given that my son, the puppy’s owner, is on a tight budget. Had I known, I would have sought the same information online at no cost. Another troubling experience occurred during a follow-up visit. I realized I didn’t have my payment card with me and asked if my son could call the next morning to pay the $60 fee, as he was in a corporate meeting and unavailable. Initially, the assistant agreed to this arrangement. However, within minutes of leaving, my son received three consecutive calls from the office, demanding immediate payment despite the prior agreement. This was both unnecessary and highly unprofessional. Policies are important, and I fully understand the need to follow them, but being lied to and harassed over a minor payment is unacceptable. Dr. Dunstan and most of his staff are exceptional, but this assistant’s attitude and actions cast a shadow over the entire practice. Her rude demeanor, lack of empathy, and unprofessional behavior toward both clients and coworkers suggest that she may not be suited for a role requiring interpersonal communication and customer service skills. To the African American staff member: I’ve witnessed you handle difficult situations with grace, and I commend your professionalism. However, I encourage you to advocate for yourself—no one deserves to be treated poorly in the workplace. Summary Ratings: Dr. Dunstan: 10/10 Assistant with blonde hair: 10/10 Other staff members: 10/10 Assistant with long brown hair: 0/10 Word of mouth is powerful, and while I will continue to praise Dr. Dunstan’s care, I will also share my experiences so others can make informed decisions about their visits.

I have never encountered a vet who loves my dog as much as I do. He sits on the floor and enjoys all the happy kisses my dog gives willingly. Dr Dunstan listens to concerns and takes my worries seriously. They are very proactive and it is easy to communicate with the office. Great place for your pet’s care!

My baby of 13 years old needed a trip to the rainbow bridge today. My vet Clarke that he had been at for 13 years said sorry can’t help you today. Thank you for getting us in. My other 2 dogs are now coming to toy

Dr. Dunstan is a fantastic Vet. We were with him for several years. Forced to leave because of conflicts with the office manager Hope. Sadly she lacks people skills. It broke my heart when we were dropped as clients but we and our pets are at a better place now. Office staff with great people skills and you are allowed to ask questions and have an opinion. You can be a great vet but if your management is bad, it reflects back to the Vet.
