I took my pup there for his shots and well care. They made us feel welcome and at ease. My pup absolutely loved the staff. I did not have to pay an arm and a leg to get the proper care for my pup. I’m glad I chose this as my guy’s care facility. They really know their stuff! My boy was not eating very well but they recommended and even gave me a sample to try. He loves it! Thanks!

Welcome to Dunn Animal Hospital PA
Welcome to the introduction of Dunn Animal Hospital PA, a dedicated pet hospital located at 625 N Powell Ave, Dunn, NC 28334, USA. As a vital part of the local community's resources for pet care, Dunn Animal Hospital PA aims to provide comprehensive and compassionate veterinary services for your beloved animal companions. Operating under the platform category of 'Pet Hospital,' this establishment offers a range of services and potentially goods to cater to the health and well-being of your pets.
Dunn Animal Hospital PA can be contacted via phone at (910) 892-6650 or through their mobile number +1 910-892-6650. While specific details about the hospital's environment are not explicitly available online, we can infer some aspects based on general best practices for veterinary clinics and the limited customer feedback provided.
Typically, a well-regarded pet hospital like Dunn Animal Hospital PA would strive to create a welcoming and clean environment for both pets and their owners. This includes comfortable waiting areas designed to minimize stress for animals, examination rooms equipped for thorough check-ups and consultations, and potentially separate areas for different species to reduce anxiety. Depending on the scope of their services, the facility might also include surgical suites, radiology and imaging departments, and in-house laboratories for efficient diagnostics. Cleanliness and adherence to hygiene protocols are paramount in any veterinary setting to ensure the health and safety of all animals.
The services offered at Dunn Animal Hospital PA likely encompass a broad spectrum of veterinary care. Based on the positive customer review, we know they provide essential preventative care such as vaccinations and wellness check-ups. These routine visits are crucial for maintaining your pet's health, detecting potential issues early, and providing necessary immunizations against common diseases. The review also highlights their attention to specific pet needs, as they offered a dietary recommendation and even a sample for a pup who wasn't eating well, indicating a proactive approach to addressing individual animal concerns.
Beyond preventative care, a full-service pet hospital typically offers diagnostic services to identify illnesses and injuries. These may include physical examinations, blood work, urinalysis, fecal testing, and potentially advanced imaging techniques like X-rays or ultrasound. Treatment options can range from medication prescriptions and minor procedures to surgical interventions when necessary. The availability of specific surgical services would depend on the hospital's facilities and the expertise of their veterinary staff.
Furthermore, many pet hospitals offer dental care services, which are vital for your pet's overall health. This can include routine dental cleanings, examinations for dental disease, and potentially extractions or other oral procedures. Nutritional counseling is another important service, as proper diet plays a significant role in an animal's well-being. Veterinarians can provide guidance on appropriate food choices, portion sizes, and dietary management for specific health conditions.
Considering the platform category of 'Pet Hospital,' it's also plausible that Dunn Animal Hospital PA may offer certain goods for sale. This could include prescription medications, specialized pet food recommended by their veterinarians (as indicated in the review), flea and tick preventatives (as mentioned in the negative review, although the context is about availability), and other health-related products. The convenience of obtaining these items directly from the veterinary hospital can be beneficial for pet owners.
In terms of features, the positive customer review emphasizes the welcoming and reassuring nature of the staff, highlighting their ability to make both the pet and owner feel at ease. This suggests a focus on compassionate care and good communication. The reviewer also praised the staff's knowledge and the fact that they provided proper care without exorbitant costs, indicating a commitment to both quality and value. The willingness to offer specific advice and even a sample of food demonstrates a personalized approach to patient care.
However, it is important to acknowledge the negative review, which raises concerns about appointment verification and communication. This feedback suggests that there might be inconsistencies in their administrative processes. While one positive experience praised their responsiveness, the negative review points to a potential area for improvement in ensuring accurate information and avoiding inconvenience for pet owners.
Based on the available information, Dunn Animal Hospital PA appears to be a veterinary care provider that focuses on delivering essential medical services for pets, with a noted strength in their patient interaction and proactive care. Potential local users can likely expect a range of services from routine check-ups and vaccinations to diagnostics and treatments. The fact that a customer felt the cost of care was reasonable is also a positive aspect for budget-conscious pet owners.
Promotional information is not explicitly available in the provided text. However, based on the positive feedback, potential local users might be drawn to Dunn Animal Hospital PA due to their reputation for friendly and knowledgeable staff, their commitment to providing necessary care without excessive costs, and their personalized approach to addressing individual pet needs. To attract new clients, Dunn Animal Hospital PA might consider highlighting these aspects in local outreach efforts. They could also emphasize the range of services they offer, from preventative care to more specialized treatments, and the convenience of potentially purchasing pet health-related goods directly from their facility.
For local users in Dunn, NC, who are seeking a pet hospital that offers a welcoming environment and a focus on comprehensive care, Dunn Animal Hospital PA is a facility to consider. While the negative review highlights a potential area for improvement in their administrative processes, the positive feedback speaks to the quality of their veterinary care and the positive interactions clients have had with their staff. It is always recommended to contact the hospital directly to inquire about their specific services, hours of operation, and any current promotions they may be offering. Mar 26, 2025 · Veretta WestMy cat was seen in June and we got her nexguard. I called today and was told I could come get it. Then when my husband got there they had changed their mind and said she hadn’t been there in a year. Which it won’t be a year until June, which I would have had her yearly check up then. It was a waste of my time and my gas. Which is frustrating when I called and verified it before I sent him.
Mar 21, 2025 · Jennifer LoweDr Brewer will not re write a prescription for our cat because Dr. Beasley originally wrote the prescription a few months ago. Now we have to pay for a new visit for our cat to get his meds. The pharmacist said that Dr Brewer could re write the script but she won't do that. None of my animals will be back here. The business is going down hill fast!!
Jan 01, 2025 · TraceyMy dog was severely attacked by another dog and it was 30 min from closing time. Since my regular vet was too far away , they graciously accepted taking him in to help. I'm so grateful for them being there!!! I would definitely use their services again.
Nov 06, 2024 · Paulette PickardThis group has taken care of my fur kids for years. They've been good to my babies through great visits and hugged me when my heart broke at end of life visits. Wait times? Occasionally. It's life. Sometimes you have to wait at businesses. The care is worth it.
