Super nice and got my 1 week old kitten in ahead of time for his appointment. Explained every detail so it was not in vet/medical terms but every day joes/joey's ability to understand. Sent out extra over the counter med so i did not have to stop and grab anything from the store, so they work with you in multiple ways of convince to. My family growing up brought our dogs here 35 plus years ago and now i do from our guinea pigs to our kittens! And i refer them to anyone that needs a good vet.....

Welcome to Dr. Teri Skadron, DVM
Welcome to the practice of Dr. Teri Skadron, DVM, your local Pet Hospital situated at 178 Marie Ave E, West St Paul, MN 55118, USA. Dr. Skadron's clinic has a notable history within the community, with one long-term client mentioning their family having brought dogs there for over 35 years, and now continuing the tradition with their guinea pigs and kittens. This legacy suggests a deep-rooted presence and a history of providing veterinary care to multiple generations of pet owners in the West St Paul area.
One customer shared a particularly positive experience highlighting the clinic's accommodating nature and clear communication. They were able to get their one-week-old kitten in for an appointment ahead of schedule, indicating a willingness to be flexible and responsive to the urgent needs of young animals. The reviewer also appreciated Dr. Skadron's ability to explain medical details in everyday language, ensuring the owner's full understanding of their pet's care. Furthermore, the clinic's convenience was noted, as they provided extra over-the-counter medication to save the owner an additional trip to the store. This suggests a client-focused approach that prioritizes both the pet's health and the owner's convenience.
The long-standing relationship described in the first review, spanning over three decades and encompassing various types of pets from dogs to guinea pigs and kittens, speaks to a broad range of experience and a level of trust built within the community. This multi-generational patronage is often a testament to consistent and reliable veterinary care over time.
However, another customer shared a less positive experience, which provides a more balanced perspective. This reviewer, a rescuer of cats who visited Dr. Skadron's clinic due to their primary and secondary vets being fully booked, encountered a couple of administrative errors. The first was a rabies vaccination certificate signed by the wrong doctor, and the second was a receipt detailing charges for a 60-pound dog instead of their 12-pound cat, resulting in an incorrect service fee of $360.00. While the receptionist was noted to be nice and rectified these issues via mail, the reviewer expressed concern about the frequency of incorrect rabies certificate signatures and the importance of accurate record-keeping in a veterinary practice.
The second reviewer also offered a comparison of the service received at Dr. Skadron's clinic to their preferred and secondary veterinarians, noting that the service was not as thorough and professional. As a result of the administrative errors and the perceived difference in the quality of service, this reviewer indicated that Dr. Skadron's clinic would remain their last option for veterinary care.
Considering these two contrasting reviews, the environment at Dr. Teri Skadron, DVM appears to be one where the staff is generally perceived as nice and accommodating, as highlighted by both reviewers. The willingness to see a young kitten promptly and the effort to explain medical details in layman's terms suggest a client-friendly approach. However, the administrative errors reported by the second reviewer indicate potential issues with record-keeping accuracy, which is a critical aspect of a well-functioning Pet Hospital.
The services offered at Dr. Teri Skadron, DVM likely include routine wellness examinations, vaccinations (including rabies), and general medical care for common pet ailments. The mention of care for kittens and guinea pigs suggests experience with a variety of small animals. The clinic also appears to offer some over-the-counter medications for convenience. However, the second review raises questions about the thoroughness of the examinations and the overall professionalism compared to other local veterinary options.
Features of Dr. Teri Skadron, DVM include a long-standing presence in the community, suggesting established relationships with local pet owners. The accommodating approach to scheduling, as seen with the kitten appointment, can be a benefit for those with urgent needs. Clear communication tailored to the pet owner's understanding is also a noted positive aspect. However, the issues with record accuracy and the perceived lack of thoroughness mentioned in the second review are important points to consider.
Currently, there is no specific promotional information available for Dr. Teri Skadron, DVM in the provided details. To inquire about any current promotions or to understand the full range of services offered, it is advisable to contact the clinic directly at (651) 451-6421 or +1 651-451-6421.
In conclusion, Dr. Teri Skadron, DVM in West St Paul, MN, is a Pet Hospital with a long history of serving the community, appreciated by some for its friendly and accommodating service, as well as clear communication. However, potential clients should also be aware of the issues raised in another review regarding administrative accuracy and the perceived level of thoroughness compared to other veterinary practices in the area. It may be beneficial to contact the clinic directly to discuss your pet's specific needs and to address any concerns based on the available reviews.

Mar 23, 2021 · Amy BengtsonThe staff is pretty nice, I only took a newly rescued cat here because my other 2 vets were booked out. Unfortunately a few mistakes were made the first was his rabies vaccination certificate was signed by the wrong DR. I wasn't too worried until I got home and realized my receipt documented the $360.00 in services was actually for a 60 pound dog and not my 12 pound cat. Obviously records are extremely important so I had to reach out to get the correct documents. Receptionist was nice and fixed everything via mail but she did say that the rabbies vaccination records have been frequently signed by the wrong DR'S lately and they needed to work on that. Service was not as thorough and professional as my preferred vet como park animal hospital or my secondary vet animal humane society on university. I rescue cats and this will continue to be my last option.
Oct 04, 2021 · thelovelyt1Best vet hospital in the cities! We moved all the way to the far west suburbs but we still make the drive because our pets deserve the best possible care and the Skadron team provide it.
