Welcome to Dr. Rita Gariboldi, DVM

Welcome to an introduction of the veterinary practice of Dr. Rita Gariboldi, DVM, located at 2400 Fort Eustis Blvd #1, Yorktown, VA 23692, USA. Operating under the platform category of "Pet Hospital," this practice, led by Dr. Gariboldi, has received mixed but informative feedback from pet owners. One review praises Dr. Gariboldi's direct communication style, her thoroughness in answering questions, and her ethical approach of not suggesting unnecessary treatments. In contrast, another review expresses dissatisfaction with a policy regarding prescription refills for heartworm medication, citing the need for an additional visit fee. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview based on these limited but contrasting customer experiences, keeping in mind the general services expected from a pet hospital.

As a Pet Hospital, the practice of Dr. Rita Gariboldi, DVM, likely offers a range of essential veterinary services to care for pets in the Yorktown, Virginia area. These typically include preventative care such as vaccinations, parasite control, and wellness examinations, as well as diagnostics, treatment for illnesses and injuries, and potentially dental and surgical procedures. The positive review suggests a focus on clear communication and responsible medical recommendations. However, the negative review points to a specific administrative policy that some pet owners might find inconvenient.

One of the notable features, according to a positive review, is Dr. Gariboldi's approach to client communication and patient care. The reviewer mentioned that Dr. Gariboldi is "direct, answers questions fully, and doesn't suggest unnecessary stuff," leading them to "highly recommend" her. This highlights the value of a veterinarian who is transparent, communicative, and trustworthy in their recommendations. Such qualities can build strong relationships with pet owners and foster confidence in the care provided.

On the other hand, a different reviewer had a negative experience regarding a prescription refill for heartworm medication. They stated that the doctor "refused to give me a prescription... unless of course I paid $45 for additional visit." This policy led the reviewer to express their dissatisfaction and intention to switch practices. This feedback indicates a potential point of contention for some clients regarding prescription policies and the associated costs of obtaining them, particularly when the client believes they should already have a valid history with the clinic.

Given the limited information about the environment of Dr. Gariboldi's practice, we can only infer that it is equipped to provide standard veterinary care. A typical pet hospital includes examination rooms, areas for minor procedures, and possibly facilities for surgery and housing recovering animals. The focus of the reviews is primarily on Dr. Gariboldi's interaction style and a specific administrative policy rather than the physical clinic itself.

Based on the category "Pet Hospital," the services likely offered by Dr. Rita Gariboldi, DVM, include:

  • Preventative Care: Vaccinations, parasite control (including heartworm medication), wellness exams.
  • General Medicine: Diagnosis and treatment of illnesses.
  • Diagnostics: Laboratory services, imaging (if available).
  • Prescription Medications: For various conditions, including preventative treatments like heartworm medication.
  • Consultations: Addressing pet health concerns and answering owner questions.

However, the availability of more specialized services like surgery or advanced dental care is not mentioned in the provided reviews.

In terms of features, Dr. Rita Gariboldi, DVM, is described by one reviewer as:

  • Direct in her communication.
  • Thorough in answering questions.
  • Ethical in not suggesting unnecessary treatments.

However, a potential point to consider, based on the other review, is the clinic's policy regarding prescription refills, which may require an additional visit fee depending on their record-keeping.

Regarding promotional information, based on the positive feedback, Dr. Rita Gariboldi, DVM, could emphasize her direct and honest approach to veterinary care, as well as her commitment to fully answering pet owners' questions without recommending unnecessary procedures. A potential promotional message could be: "At the practice of Dr. Rita Gariboldi, DVM, in Yorktown, VA, you can expect clear communication, thorough answers to your questions, and a commitment to recommending only what your pet truly needs. Experience honest and direct veterinary care you can trust."

For local users in Singapore, while Dr. Rita Gariboldi, DVM, is located in the USA, the qualities highlighted in the reviews—direct and honest communication from the veterinarian—are valuable to look for when choosing a pet hospital here. Similarly, it's also important to understand the clinic's policies regarding prescription refills and associated costs. When seeking veterinary care in Singapore, you might prioritize a veterinarian who communicates clearly and transparently about your pet's health and treatment options. It would also be prudent to inquire about their policies on prescription refills.

In summary, the practice of Dr. Rita Gariboldi, DVM, in Yorktown, VA, as a Pet Hospital, is characterized by a direct and honest approach to veterinary care, according to one positive review. Dr. Gariboldi is praised for her thoroughness and for not suggesting unnecessary treatments. However, another review raises a concern about the clinic's policy on prescription refills, which required an additional fee for a visit. Local pet owners in Yorktown may find Dr. Gariboldi's direct communication style appealing, while also needing to be aware of their prescription refill policies. For users in Singapore, these aspects of communication style and administrative policies are also important to consider when selecting a local veterinary practice.

Stay away. Doctor refused to give me a prescription for heartworm medication because their records didn't show the last prescription was given... unless of course I paid $45 for additional visit....NOT a fan and switching practices.

We've been with Dr Wolfe for nearly 20 years. They've seen 3 pets and taking care of them for that time I would definitely recommend you take your pet here.
