Our rabbit Jackson died on the operating table as they were taking out personal information, minutes after arriving there. Dr. Meakin decided to charge us for an office visit ($40) because we had talked to him on the phone before arriving. After he died, the tech there also promised a nice package for Jackson's cremated remains, a bag, jar, and a paw print mold. We got him back yesterday in a fake wooden box screwed shut and a "condolence" letter typed on their prescription template. Jackson's name was under the "prescription expires" column. This is an awful place.

Welcome to Dr. Linda Meakin

Dr. Linda Meakin operates a Pet Hospital located at 8451 Beechmont Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45255, USA, offering veterinary care to the local community. The clinic can be reached at (513) 474-5700 or +1 513-474-5700. Based on available online reviews, experiences with Dr. Meakin's practice appear to vary significantly, highlighting both positive and deeply negative encounters.

One customer shared a profoundly distressing experience involving the loss of their rabbit, Jackson, during a procedure shortly after arrival. This review details allegations of the pet passing away on the operating table while personal information was being processed. The client also expressed dissatisfaction with being charged for an office visit despite the pet's immediate critical condition and the prior phone consultation. Furthermore, the review contrasts the promised cremation package, which included a bag, jar, and paw print mold, with the actual return of the remains in what was described as a "fake wooden box" accompanied by a "condolence" letter with an apparent clerical error regarding the pet's name and the prescription format. This account paints a picture of a deeply upsetting and mishandled experience.

In stark contrast, another pet owner offers a positive perspective on Dr. Linda Meakin's care. This reviewer expresses complete confidence in Dr. Meakin's abilities, particularly in the context of their senior dog who has undergone surgeries. They describe Dr. Meakin as attentive, thorough, and compassionate, emphasizing her willingness to listen to concerns and ensure they are addressed. This testimonial suggests a high level of trust in Dr. Meakin's medical expertise and her caring approach to animal patients.

Considering these contrasting reviews, it is important for local pet owners to weigh these experiences when considering Dr. Linda Meakin's Pet Hospital for their veterinary needs. The information suggests that while some clients have found Dr. Meakin to be a competent and compassionate veterinarian, others have reported significant issues with the care provided and the handling of sensitive situations.

As a Pet Hospital, Dr. Linda Meakin's practice likely offers a range of veterinary services. Based on the positive review mentioning surgeries and care for a senior dog, these services could include surgical procedures, general medical care for pets of all ages, and potentially specialized care for senior animals. The negative review does not provide details about the specific procedure Jackson was undergoing, but it implies that surgical services are offered. It is reasonable to infer that standard veterinary services such as examinations, vaccinations, and diagnostic procedures are also part of the practice's offerings.

Regarding the environment of the Pet Hospital, no specific details are provided in the reviews. Typically, a pet hospital would include examination rooms, surgical suites (if surgeries are performed), waiting areas for pet owners, and potentially areas for housing and recovering animals. Without further information, it is not possible to describe the clinic's ambiance or facilities in detail.

In terms of features, the positive review highlights Dr. Meakin's attentiveness to concerns and thoroughness in her approach. The ability to perform surgeries is also a significant feature mentioned. The negative review, while critical, inadvertently points to the offering of cremation services, although the execution of these services was the subject of complaint. It is common for pet hospitals to offer such aftercare services.

No specific promotional information is available in the provided text. Pet hospitals may sometimes offer introductory discounts for new clients, seasonal promotions for specific services (like dental cleaning or vaccinations), or package deals for routine care. To obtain information about any current promotions at Dr. Linda Meakin's Pet Hospital, interested pet owners would need to contact the clinic directly at the provided phone numbers.

In conclusion, Dr. Linda Meakin's Pet Hospital in Cincinnati offers veterinary services that include medical care and surgery. While one client review praises Dr. Meakin's compassion, thoroughness, and surgical skills, another recounts a deeply negative experience involving the death of their pet and dissatisfaction with the aftercare services and billing. Local pet owners should consider these differing perspectives and potentially seek further information or clarification from the clinic directly to make an informed decision about their pet's care.
