Dr. Flake's Animal Wellness Clinic

We meet Dr Flake under stressful circumstances with a very sick dog. She was excellent in her care for our dog & her communication with us. Holistic care always offered first, if possible. Highly recommended! :)

Very rude front desk, with attitude towards us while asking questions. took my brother cat into vet 4 hrs, waited for him to get 2 test done and an exam to say the same thing they said he had last time we took him to get seen. my brother said no to an ear mite test because we could give him the drops our self she did it any ways with out his permission and never gave him a result. Doing test that weren’t told price. Well over charged compared to other vets. I have taken my animals there also was told to wait till my dog was two to make sure his other testicle dropped. By the time he was two he had a bigger surgery then needed if she would of just took the testicle out while he was younger because it went into his stomach area. on top of that one of my friend dog got out of the fence a lady found trixie and they brought her to the vet I had an appointment with dr flake to get my puppy shots done, while being there asked around the vet office asking if they have seen trixie at all, they said a lady brought the dog in that morning they checked if she had a microchip and because she didn’t they allowed this lady to take her not getting any information from this lady. This lady took the dog saying she was going to take the dog to the spca my friend did call the spca for weeks and this lady never took her to the spca. If one of the lady in the office would of took one more step to get information of this lady the dog would be back home with her family. Instead they are still looking for her, it’s been 5 months now.

Always a big fan of Dr. Flake and her team. First visit since covid and very impressed with the safety procedures they have in place. Was nervous about not going in with my sensitive and scaredy pants rescue pup but they checked in halfway through the visit with an update and gave a very detailed report afterwards. Every visit has been a positive experience for our animals and ourselves. We are happy to recommend them to our friends and family. In fact, our son and daughter-in-law now take their dogs here as well.

The staff are great, friendly people. They took very good care of my kitten. This was my first visit, but definitely not our last. Well worth the drive from Shippensburg.
