As usual I'm very happy for having a veterinary hospital just a few miles away. All the office and techs along with this other vet are very nice and explain things to you. Prices are about normal as other similar places. Dr. Trevor is a sweetheart . Very good and nice. Not mentioning names, there's one vet abit closer but wasn't impressed. I recommend Heritage as a great place to take your fur babies for help.

Oct 17, 2018 · Kim RuskThey are amazing. The staff and vet was so kind, answered any questions we had, took time to explain everything, and were very compassionate. You can tell that they truly do care about the patients and the families.
May 13, 2021 · Angela BetzMy in laws took their 1 1/2 old yellow lab Pal to this vet because he wasn’t eating. They kept sending him home with medicine to put on his food and we kept telling them he won’t eat. They did X-rays at one point admitted him for a couple days then sent him back home with more meds to put on food he wasn’t eating. We had brought other dogs here for years and we trusted them to be doing all they could for him but we were getting very frustrated as Pal continued to deteriorate. This went on for almost 6 months while thousands of dollars were spent and every visit they couldn’t even give us an idea of what was wrong with him. We were on the phone daily with them begging them for a diagnosis and taking him in to the office weekly. They kept sending home different meds but couldn’t even give us an idea as to what was wrong with him. Enough was enough, we were fed up. He was dying right in front of us and they were doing nothing. On the day of his second birthday we took him for a second opinion to Wabash Valley Animal Hospital and the vet came in looked at Pal felt his belly. Then the vet looked at the same X-rays that Heritage had taken 6 months before and said he’s either swallowed something or it’s possibly Cancer. The vet thought he seemed too young for cancer but sent us to a place in Indy that night to have tests. Though we were not excited to hear it may be cancer for the first time in months we felt listened to and were on the way to finally get answers. It was cancer and it had spread so badly that he had to be put to rest. My mother in law couldn’t stand the thought of putting him down on his second birthday and was going to bring him back up in the morning. He died that night at home. A beautiful healthy loving dog gone because why?? They milked thousands of dollars from my family while Pal just wasted away. The other vet in 5 mins diagnosed him and charged us $40. Once again I want to stress the Wabash Valley vet determined this using the same X-rays that heritage had taken 6 months before. Had the cancer been caught 6 months before Pal would still be here today. Please if you do go here and you aren’t getting the answers that you know you should be getting don’t wait like we did take your animal to another vet or you just may end up regretting it. We have since taken all of our animals out of their care.
