I am very unhappy with this Vets demeanor, she’s rude, doesn’t listen and talks to you like you’re an idiot. She kept treating me like I didn’t know what I was talking about with my dogs symptoms of something very wrong in his face/throat area and kept saying he seems fine to her, finally did an X-ray after me being persistent knowing something is wrong - and what do you know, he has a tumor. She wanted to just send me home for the second time in 2 months doing nothing saying nothing was wrong ! I have since told my story to many people to find out many people in my area feel the same way about this Vet !

Welcome to Dr. Cameo Thorsen, DVM

Introducing the veterinary practice of Dr. Cameo Thorsen, DVM, located at 2200 Lyndale Ave N, Faribault, MN 55021, USA. You can contact this clinic at (507) 334-2068 or via the mobile number +1 507-334-2068. Operating within the platform category of "Pet Hospital," Dr. Thorsen's clinic aims to provide veterinary care for your animal companions. To offer a comprehensive overview for local users, we will consider the environment, potential services, and features based on the available information, including a customer review.

It is important to note that the provided information includes a starkly negative customer review alongside a very brief and seemingly unrelated positive comment ("Wonderful place to come and delicious food"). This discrepancy makes it challenging to form a uniformly positive or negative assessment and necessitates presenting both aspects objectively.

Environment: Specific details about the clinic's physical environment are not provided. However, as a veterinary practice operating as a "Pet Hospital," it would typically include examination rooms, possibly a surgical suite, areas for diagnostics (like X-ray), and potentially a space for short-term patient holding or recovery. The aim of such an environment is to facilitate the diagnosis and treatment of animal health issues. Without further information, we cannot elaborate on the specific ambiance or facilities offered at Dr. Thorsen's clinic.

Services: As a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Cameo Thorsen likely offers a range of services expected from a general veterinary practice. These typically include:

  • General health check-ups and wellness exams
  • Vaccinations
  • Diagnosis and treatment of illnesses
  • Minor surgical procedures
  • Dental care
  • Diagnostic imaging, such as X-rays (as indicated in the review)

The negative review mentions the eventual use of an X-ray to diagnose a tumor, suggesting that diagnostic imaging is part of the services offered. However, the reviewer's experience also points to a potential area of concern regarding the initial assessment and responsiveness to the owner's observations.

Features: One notable feature, based on the contact information, is the availability of both a landline and a mobile phone number, potentially offering multiple ways for pet owners to reach the clinic. However, the provided customer feedback casts a shadow on other potential positive features. The negative review highlights concerns about Dr. Thorsen's demeanor, listening skills, and diagnostic approach. The reviewer felt that their concerns about their dog's symptoms were initially dismissed, and a significant issue (a tumor) was only identified after the owner insisted on an X-ray. This account suggests that a potential feature, thorough and responsive communication with pet owners, may not have been consistently experienced by at least one customer.

In contrast, the brief comment about a "wonderful place" and "delicious food" is perplexing in the context of a veterinary clinic and might be unrelated or a misunderstanding of the establishment. Given the significant detail and negative sentiment of the other review, it is difficult to reconcile this positive, yet seemingly out-of-place, remark.

Promotional Information: There is no explicit promotional information provided. Therefore, we must rely on the implicit information gleaned from the location and the customer feedback. The fact that the clinic is operating suggests it provides a service needed by the community in Faribault, MN. However, the negative review serves as a critical piece of information that potential local users should be aware of.

For local users in the Faribault, MN area considering Dr. Cameo Thorsen, DVM for their pet's care, it would be prudent to weigh the information presented. The negative review raises serious concerns about communication, listening, and diagnostic thoroughness. While a single review may not represent the entirety of experiences, the detailed nature of the complaint warrants attention. Conversely, the very brief positive comment offers little substantive insight into the veterinary services provided.

Given the platform category is "Pet Hospital," users would typically expect a place that offers compassionate, knowledgeable, and effective care for their pets. The negative feedback directly contradicts these expectations, particularly regarding the doctor's demeanor and the handling of the diagnostic process. It suggests a potential disconnect between the veterinarian and the pet owner, leading to a delay in identifying a serious health issue.

For local users in Singapore reading this, while this specific veterinary practice is in the USA, the importance of clear communication, a respectful demeanor from the veterinarian, and a thorough approach to diagnostics are universally valued in pet healthcare. When choosing a "Pet Hospital" in Singapore, you would likely look for similar qualities: a welcoming environment, comprehensive services, and positive testimonials that speak to the competence and care provided by the veterinary team.

In conclusion, Dr. Cameo Thorsen, DVM in Faribault, MN, operates as a veterinary clinic ("Pet Hospital") offering services that likely include general check-ups, vaccinations, diagnostics (including X-ray), and treatments. However, a significant customer review raises concerns about the veterinarian's demeanor, listening skills, and initial diagnostic approach. Potential local users should consider this feedback alongside any other information they may gather when making decisions about their pet's healthcare.
