Our heart-wrenching experience at this vet clinic has left us grappling with trauma, necessitating months to muster the strength to recount this painful journey. Our beloved Buddy, a 10-year-old Chocolate Labrador, faced a devastating diagnosis of Hemangiosarcoma on June 8th. Following the surgical removal of his spleen with a tumor on June 1st, initial hope was crushed when specialists confirmed the cancer's incurable nature and its swift, elusive progression. In our relentless pursuit of alternatives, we discovered Healing Touch and Dr. Audra MacCorkle. The initial visit on July 28th filled us with optimism as she confidently claimed success in treating cases like Buddy's using vit C IV, acupuncture, and herbal remedies. However, after two months of weekly treatments, Buddy suffered his first seizure, prompting an urgent visit to the ER. The ER visit unveiled a grim reality – the cancer had spread to Buddy's liver and around stomach area, accompanied by moderate internal bleeding. The stark recommendation of euthanasia cast a shadow over our hopes. In desperate attempts to seek guidance during this crisis, our calls to Healing Touch went unanswered. Dr. MacCorkle's silence compounded our distress, leaving us feeling abandoned. Days later, returning to Healing Touch for treatments, Dr. MacCorkle maintained unwarranted optimism, dismissing the ER's urgency as overly dramatic. Additional supplements, herbs, and encouragement to continue vit C IV treatments were prescribed. However, Buddy's health deteriorated rapidly; he experienced another seizure and could barely walk, needing to rest every few steps.Repeated pleas for guidance were met with silence from Dr. MacCorkle. Visiting the clinic again, she persisted in her optimism, attributing Buddy's weakness and seizures to LR wind and Spleen deficiency. Further treatments were suggested, including doubling or tripling the weekly sessions. A visit to the ER for an ultrasound painted a dire picture – more blood in Buddy's belly than in his veins, contradicting Dr. MacCorkle's assurances. On his third treatment after the ER visit, Buddy could no longer stand. His belly visibly distended, Dr. MacCorkle shockingly assured us that dogs could live for years with such severe internal bleeding, advocating for even more treatments. The aftermath of the vit C treatment rendered Buddy incredibly weak, requiring us to carry him. Our financial investment exceeded $10,000 in this clinic, a substantial sum for treatments that not only proved futile but exacerbated Buddy's suffering. Dr. MacCorkle's apparent profiting from our desperation, coupled with her refusal to return calls during critical moments, deepened our anguish. The lack of follow-up from the clinic after we ceased treatments highlighted their apparent indifference to Buddy's life. Tragically, Buddy passed away naturally on November 14th, 2023, leaving us with a profound sense of loss and unanswered questions surrounding the care he received at Healing Touch.

I would give them a 0 or below stars.....They are the most rude individuals and the Doctor is terrible. My cat died because of her. Employees told me they did not like working with Dr. MacCorkle and a few months later they all quit. They have a very high turnover with employees. MacCorkle does not have empathy. She just wants to get you in and out. I can write about my negative experiences but you would be reading for a long time. I would just advise to stay away from this place at all cost!!!

Buyer Beware If you want to try and heal your pet holistically you will need a lot of money. Though I have Pet insurance, they do not cover many of the herbs or treatments that Dr. MacCorkle will perform. In 3 months I have spent over $5000 to treat one dog with Prostate Cancer and one dog with Hip Displaysia. The dog with cancer after all of his treatments (mostly once a week) did not have his tumor shrink. He had an ultrasound in June by his regular vet and he had another Ultrasound by Dr. MacCorkle's people in Culver City. Her people said that if I didn't start chemo, he will not live much longer due to the tumor growing. I will now be paying another $5000 to treat with chemo, doubling all of my costs. The dog with hip problems also showed little improvement after all treatments and her back legs are as weak as ever. I wanted so badly to believe that this would work but I think that if this is the way you choose to go then you need to take your dogs 3 times a week for it to be truly effective. I do not have that kind of money. Also know that there acct procedures are not timely. You will receive bills late, you will be charged on your credit card at different times and you will have to keep track of everything. It has taken months to get them to turn the Insurance forms in. The staff is nice. Dr MacCorkle is nice. The offices are not your traditional vet offices. (Do not get treated in the Physical therapy room, it is dirty and I found 2 needles on the floor). The Dr's language is also different from a regular vet so ASK a lot of questions so you know what they are doing and treating your animal for. I truly hoped that she would be the answer. I was so convinced that this was the right way that I did anything she said thinking somehow that the herbs and acupuncture would work. For us it did not. And in the end it was all about quibbling over the amounts she charged me for (we spent over a half hour going receipt by receipt) and finding the mistakes in their accounting. And when it comes to getting every cent she charged, the niceness faded away and my husband who was wary from the beginning was right in the first place.

We started taking my dog here when he was 16, he just turned 19 1/2. I know that if it wasn't for working with Audra and her team that we would not have our sweet boy with us. It is expensive, but worth every penny, we just made adjustments to it.
