Dr. Atlas and his staff are always a pleasure to work with. Dr. Atlas is very attentive and will take time with you to explain everything about your fur baby and make you/them feel much more than just a patient. My dog's regular vet is about 40 miles away so we use Riverview as a secondary home, but have been pleased every visit. Prices are higher than my regular vet but he's not in a high-traffic and well-populated area like Riverview. Front desk staff and assistants are always very helpful as well. Kilo always comes out smiling 😃

This is the ONLY place we take our rats, hamsters & cats. We have been going here since 2012 with our very first pet rat. We trust Dr. Alvin Atlas and Dr. Chris Campbell implicitly with our animals. Dr. Campbell is so very kind, caring and understanding, and he actually LISTENS to your input, which is fantastic; he's a wonderful vet, and very knowledge about rats and their illnesses & treatments, which can be difficult to find in a vet. And Dr. Atlas is great, such an extremely skilled surgeon. He's performed tumor removals and neuter surgery for our rats many times, and all went wonderfully. He performed tumor removal surgery on one of our rats, and he did such an AMAZING job, she healed up so very quickly, within days you couldn't even tell that she'd had surgery! Even with their very busy schedules, Dr. Atlas and Dr. Campbell always take the time to explain things, answer all of our questions and makes us feel like a priority. I can tell they truly love their work. The entire staff here - the receptionist and vet techs - are always so kind. On more than one occasion the clinic has called the day after a visit/procedure to check how my animals are doing; that shows they really care. I know that my animals are always in good hands here, and I will NEVER take them anywhere else.

I'll start my possibly lengthy review by stating that I have received nothing but great service at Riverview, and I have no doubt that Dr. Atlas is probably a great veterinarian for exotic pets. However, the reason for my review is due to the one time I've done business with Dr. Atlas and his bedside manner. We have been seeing a different doctor in Dr. Atlas's office for our bunny rabbit. She has been receiving ongoing care for an infection that started from a tooth. Our doctor was out of the office for holidays when our bunny was due for her suture removal. I called 2 hours after dropping her off to find out that he did not remove the sutures due to the concern of the active infection, which I totally agree with. The problem arose when I started asking questions about the care I was providing at home, as well as what medications needed to be continued versus what doesnt. Once I started communicating with Dr. Atlas the processes I have been using on cleaning and medicating at home, he started raising his voice with me. I could not understand why, but I definitely picked up on the hostile responses and answers that I was receiving. After almost bursting into tears from his raised voice and tone, I called him out on raising his voice with me, and stated that I was only trying to establish communication by explaining what we have been doing at home to see if there is anything we needed to change to help our bunny continue to improve, and the conversation only got worse. I am highly disappointed in the service that I received from Dr. Atlas, and although I may continue to use Riverview, I will avoid Dr. Atlas at all costs, even if it means finding another vet for emergency situations when our veterinarian is not available.

Dr Atlas is a very personable vet & really good with exotic birds. I have taken my African Grey in a few times over the years & Dr. Atlas always takes time with my bird & answers all my questions. Thank you Dr Atlas

My bird had a broken leg and there were no vets for bird in my town on the weekend so I went this place on Sunday. Arrived around 1 p.m. but the place was already busy. The doctor and all the staffs were super nice. The doctor explained every little details about the examination and the treatment. It was really nice visit after all.
