Feb 14, 2025 · Aika McclaskeyDr. Kimmel and her staff are the absolute best! I highly recommend them. Dr. Kimmel is an outstanding veterinarian. He support staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and take excellent care of my little dog. I wouldn’t chose anyone for my dogs care.
Nov 01, 2024 · Roberta PerkisUpdate for the vet response: The dog was Levi and he was under my wife's name, Preston Brosman. He would have been fixed summer of 2022. Vet insisted our male aussie had to be fixed at 6 months old. Because he wasn't given more time to develop, he now has a host of behavioral issues around other dogs and new people which makes him aggressive. He loved my father before getting fixed, now he hates/is terrified of him. He developed eating issues after being fixed. He's paranoid around new people, unknown sounds, new food, etc. Two months of professional training only helped him to learn commands and gain the slightest confidence back. We still can't get him to interact or play with any dogs he didn't meet as a puppy. The commands are useless when he freaks out because of new people or dogs, he literally trembles when he gets stressed out. We still love the little guy but we can't take him out with us anywhere and it makes us sad. At home he's a sweetheart and loves to cuddle. But outside of his safe environment he just can't keep it together. All of these issues manifested after he got fixed at the insistance of our vet. Give your dog time to develop and do not listen to anyone that says to get them fixed before 1 to 2 yrs old.
Mar 22, 2025 · Connor AndersonUpdate: I have been coming here for about 2 years now and they have been outstanding to both our cat and dog. They consistently and thoroughly treat our pets with care and make sure everything is accounted for that is needed without being pressured as I have previously experienced at other vets. Our cat had some minor-moderate health issues (additional to original review) when we brought her in recently and after a few necessary visits and tests, we see an improving trend in her health. Dr. Kimmel and her Team have been very helpful and I love the level of communication they go to and explaining their findings and recommendations. I trust Downdog and will definitely refer anyone. Original Review: First time going here with our cat. She had some issues that we have been dealing with no progress from other vets nearby. We came here for the reviews and based on the treatment plan and communication of what they believe the diagnosis is (pending test results), we’re already seeing improvement in her health. Thank you!
Jan 05, 2024 · brad hI just switched to DownDog Vet after moving and wanting a better vet experience for my very anxious dog. I have never had such a positive vet experience. My dog can be very nervous around new people and is dog reactive. The staff here worked with me to make sure my dog stayed calm and had a positive experience. Everyone who interacted with my girl was so patient and calm and made us both very comfortable. They made sure to include me in any decision-making and allowed me to sit in the room with my baby while we did a nail trim and exam. The doctor and her staff were absolutely amazing! My dog will be a patient here for a long time!
