Double Oak Mountain Veterinary Clinic is amazing! Dr. Barbara Monaghan did her due diligence, unlike other vets. She actually did an ultrasound on my cat’s bladder to see where the blood was coming from because he didn’t have any crystals. It turned out he had a large mass, which was a tumor. She treated me with so much compassion and gave me a wealth of information and knowledge. She spent a lot of time explaining all the possibilities and how rare this case was. Although she’s retired now, she still works there some weeks. She’s the best vet I’ve ever met, and I’m so grateful she was there that night when my cat was blocked again from blood clots. Thank you again, Double Oak Mountain Veterinary Clinic. You all are the best!

Sep 27, 2024 · SaLtY GaMeRLet me set the scene. My sister noticed my cat, Sheba had appeared to be loosing weight and just not being herself. She suggested I take her to see Dr Vargas at Oak Mountain animal hospital. I called set up an appointment. I took her in and the staff was so friendly and professional. Dr Vargas examined her and got blood work. So far so good. He noticed a small mouth sore much like a canker sore we humans get. He said it might be something, and he gave me the name but I didn’t know what it was, the only thing I understood was it could be a tumor with the name Sarcoma in it. He took a biopsy and sent it off. It came back as positive. All of this going on and Dr Vargas with his staff gave me information. They remained positive and professional but if the biopsy came back positive there would decisions to make. As it happened it was positive and her time came quicker than I expected. Sheba was treated with kindness, love and compassion. When the time came for a decision. Dr Vargas and staff comforted me as Sheba crossed the Rainbow Bridge. I requested she be cremated and I would take Sheba’s ashes. I received the call they were ready to be picked up. The way everything was presented, the box with her ashes, foot print, with a beautiful card. I was very grateful for ALL this Dr and staff did. I’m sorry for the lengthy review. To even go above and beyond Dr Vargas and staff sent a very beautiful card with a beautiful message hand written inside. I WILL bring, if am ready for, my animals here.
Feb 06, 2025 · Edward JohnsonI had to bring my baby here Saturday night because she cut her paw bad pretty bad. They were able to get her fixed up quickly and Dr. Harmon was absolutely amazing! We loved her.
Jan 16, 2025 · Bailey WambleDr Ashley Rutter has been my vet for almost 5 years . My golden retriever had parvo as a pup and almost died - but bc of her expertise, I still have Scooter . She is the best vet I have ever used ( I’m 62 ) I followed her to DOMAH . I had a 7 yr old sweet girl I lost to bone cancer in the fall . Dr Rutter & sweet Amanda ( the tech) were w me as I said goodbye to my sweet Greta . Greta’s cancer began in her mandible ) as soon as it was apparent it was back , I took her there to euthanize. It was the best experience ( the actual euthanasia) I could have had . There was no rush I was welcome to stay hours w her if I’d wanted . She brought a cart out w all sorts of treats , Greta wanted peanut butter & was on a soft duvet as I held her and said my goodbyes . There are so many things to love about this place ( the better equipment, etc ) but mainly it’s my Vet , Dr Rutter & the other staff. I’ve had to go on the weekends and it’s nice to have an option that’s not emergency ( but if my dog is vomiting etc I can still see a vet during office hours (on a Saturday!!) There numerous treatments , surgeries etc Dr Rutter has done for all of my 4 dogs in the past 5 years . She has ALWAYS been correct in her diagnosis and treatment . I lost my beloved Labrador, Sherlock on May 2024 - but Dr Rutter told me about Librela ( for arthritis ) and I was able to have him an extra 6 months bc of the recommendation ( Librela was new then ) so she’s always on cutting edge of technology - she’s an absolute rock star in surgery ( we have had several but an emergency splenectomy comes to mind ) she saw ( huge spleen ) this while taking urine ( in xray ) my boy had surgery the next am ! You’re in great hands here . They don’t rush you & it’s obvious they’re in this for the love of animals .
Dec 16, 2024 · Alison WI love Dr. Miller she is the best VET! She is so great with my doggy! She listens to any concerns that I may have and the service is excellent. As soon as you walk in the door, you are instantly put into a private room so there is no stress about your dog and other animals interacting. Dr. Miller comes in within minutes and the exam is done quickly and efficiently. I called the office because June Bug was not feeling well and DR. Miller was on the phone with me almost instantly. She was asking questions about her condition and told me what could be done at home including what I could give her for the issue she was having. I can't say enough good things about DR. Miller and the staff. I have never been so happy with a VET. We are patients for ever!! Thanks to everyone at the clinic and especially to DR. Miller! We appreciate you so much! I highly recommend her and the clinic for all your needs. Your pet will be cared for with the utmost importance!
