Desert Sky Animal Hospital

We've been taking our pets here for around 5 years. They've always been wonderful and supportive, but two incidences stand out relating to end of life care. My sweet boy Max died in 2020, during the height of COVID. When the decision was made to euthanize him, the doctors here made an exception of their COVID protocols and allowed my two children and husband to come in to say goodbye. Only one of us could stay for the whole procedure, which was me, but it meant so much that my kids were allowed to see Max one last time. About a year ago, our oldest cat, who was 18, had to also be put down because of kidney failure. They let me stay in the room with him as long as I wanted, and when I did go outside to settle the bill, I noticed that they had lit a candle for our darling kitty as a way to let others know that we were in that room saying goodbye to him. A year after our boy died, we got a puppy, who is now 3, and they've been amazing with her. The Puppy Plan for her first year was wonderfully comprehensive. I have never experienced anything but excellent service and kindness from them. I'm grateful.

From freedom’s amputation to her last breath you guys have been nothing but amazing. I appreciate all the love you guys had for her and I’m glad you guys were part of her journey! You made her feel like family to you guys! Thank you for everything!

A very caring staff. Dr. Blackwell is wonderful and gentle with her patients. My appointment was easily made, confirmed, and reminders sent quickly. I had nearly no wait time and they treated me like an old friend. Results were phoned to me the next morning with a treatment plan. I am definitely going back with my other dogs.

I had to put my senior dog Lady down a couple weeks ago. I've been through some tough times but this hurt a lot. I am beyond grateful for the staff there, they were so nice, calm , understanding and very comforting. Sherri works at the front desk and she is an Angel. Kimberly and Samantha helped with getting Ladybug ready to go they were sweet and helpful as well. I thank God constantly for Dr.Lewis because that has got to be a tough job sometimes. I know I couldn't do it. So thank you again. 🩷

The team at Desert Sky was able to take in Penelope right away after she was suffering a severe allergic reaction to a bee sting. The nurse immediately did triage upon our arrival and a vet saw her soon afterwards. I felt safe and comfortable leaving Penelope under their observation for a few hours to see how the meds would affect her. She’s been doing great at home and having a speedy recovery. I look forward to bringing her here for her yearly checkups from now on. Very grateful for this wonderful team.
