Every animal of mine she has seen has either died, or she wanted to put down on the spot, regardless of treatment options. Great place to go if you're looking to get rid of an animal. The one star I gave is only because zero stars wasn't an option. If you love your animals, go somewhere else. Anywhere else. Huntingdon and Bells are both wonderful.

Welcome to Deming Ellen DVM

Dr. Ellen Deming DVM practices veterinary medicine in Jackson, Tennessee, operating from Deming Veterinary Services, located at 2173 Hwy 70 E, Jackson, TN 38305, USA. As a "Pet Hospital," her practice aims to provide various veterinary services to the local community. Dr. Deming's involvement in the local community is further noted by her incumbency as a veterinarian member of the Vicious Dog Hearing Panel for Madison County, indicating a degree of professional recognition within the local regulatory framework.

The environment at Deming Veterinary Services, like any professional "Pet Hospital," is expected to maintain standards of cleanliness and organization suitable for animal care. While detailed descriptions of the clinic's interior or specific amenities are not extensively available online, the general expectation for a veterinary practice is to provide a clean and functional space for examinations, treatments, and client interactions. One positive review highlights that the "staff is also very friendly," suggesting a welcoming atmosphere and professional demeanor from the team supporting Dr. Deming. This friendliness is important in a veterinary setting, as it can help put pet owners at ease during potentially stressful visits.

The services offered by Deming Veterinary Services typically encompass a range of general veterinary care. As a "Pet Hospital," it is expected that the clinic provides routine **wellness checkups**, which are crucial for preventative care and early detection of health issues. These often include **physical examinations** to assess a pet's overall health. Basic **vaccination services** for common canine and feline diseases are also a standard offering, protecting pets from various illnesses. According to publicly available information, typical costs for some services in Tennessee include vaccines per shot at around $17.50, physical exams at approximately $47.50, routine checkups at about $100, and spay/neuter procedures at approximately $175. This suggests that Deming Veterinary Services likely offers these common and essential services, making fundamental pet care accessible.

Beyond routine care, a full-service "Pet Hospital" would typically provide diagnostic capabilities and treatments for illnesses and injuries. While specific advanced equipment or specialized services are not detailed, it is reasonable to assume that Deming Veterinary Services would offer common **laboratory tests** like blood work and fecal exams, and potentially basic **imaging services** such as X-rays, to aid in diagnosing various conditions. One positive customer review from July 2023 mentioned a cat in "bad shape" due to an allergic reaction being seen late on a Friday afternoon, where "Doc gave him an antibiotic & steroid shot and basically saved his life," and "explained everything to me." This suggests the clinic can handle acute medical cases and provides clear communication with clients.

However, it is crucial to address a significant aspect of the provided customer feedback, which raises concerns about the clinic's approach to certain cases. Multiple identical negative reviews state, "Every animal of mine she has seen has either died, or she wanted to put down on the spot, regardless of treatment options. Great place to go if you're looking to get rid of an animal." These severe criticisms highlight a potential perception among some clients that Dr. Deming's practice may lean towards euthanasia more readily than exploring alternative treatment options, particularly in challenging or severe cases. This feedback, while a direct quote from provided reviews, represents a critical viewpoint that prospective clients might encounter when researching the clinic. It contrasts sharply with other positive reviews that praise Dr. Deming's knowledge, experience, and professionalism, and her staff's friendliness and genuine care for animals and customers.

The discrepancy in reviews suggests varied experiences or perhaps different types of cases seen by the clinic. It is possible that the highly negative reviews stem from situations where pets were presented with grave prognoses, leading to euthanasia being presented as the most humane option. Conversely, positive reviews, such as the one about the cat with an allergic reaction, indicate effective treatment of acute, non-terminal conditions. This difference underscores the importance of a transparent and compassionate approach to difficult conversations about end-of-life care and treatment alternatives, which is a significant feature for any "Pet Hospital."

In terms of promotional information, the clinic's presence is established through its physical address and contact numbers: (731) 300-3344 for phone and +1 731-300-3344 for mobile. Online directories and review sites also list Deming Veterinary Services, providing hours of operation (typically Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM). The clinic also appears to have a website, demingvet.com, which would serve as a primary source for detailed information about their services, philosophy, and team. While specific promotional campaigns or discounts are not detailed, a practice's reputation, built on client experiences, serves as its most potent form of promotion. The positive review mentioning appreciation for her "knowledge, experience & professionalism" and the staff's genuine care indicates a strong base of satisfied clients who would likely recommend the clinic. However, the severe negative feedback also acts as a form of "promotion" for those specifically seeking euthanasia services, or as a warning for those seeking extensive treatment options. The clinic's participation in the Madison County Vicious Dog Hearing Panel also serves as a form of professional visibility within the community.

In conclusion, Dr. Ellen Deming DVM's practice, Deming Veterinary Services, serves as a "Pet Hospital" in Jackson, TN, offering general veterinary care, including preventative services and handling acute medical cases. The clinic aims to provide a friendly and professional environment. While some clients highly praise Dr. Deming's knowledge and the staff's compassionate care, other significant feedback raises concerns about the clinic's approach to treatment options versus euthanasia in difficult situations. Prospective clients are encouraged to consider all available feedback and potentially discuss their specific needs and concerns with the clinic to determine if it aligns with their expectations for their beloved animal companions.

We have taken our pets to Dr Deming for several years now, she and her staff have always been kind competent and caring. When my mother died I needed to board my cats in an emergency situation. They met me at the office to take my pets into wonderful care of them while I was gone. She has taken excellent care of my 22-year-old cat, I think that speaks for itself! I have run into too many other vets who seem to be interested in running a lot of tests and having you pay a big Bill, Dr Deming and her staff are absolutely not that way.
