I have to give a huge shout out to Delano Veterinary Clinic and their entire staff!! I have what you call a “frequent flyer”. My chocolate lab fur baby has been through the gauntlet in his first 3 years of life starting with almost loosing him to an extreme case of pneumonia just after he turned 1, torn up paw, ear infections, allergies, among so many other things! Most recently he had a mass removed from his foot and the recovery was intense. DVC has been there every step of the way and has always made time for us and puts up with us crazy animal lovers who always panic about our 4-legged children. Let’s face it, their name should really be Delano Vet and Counseling Clinic!! From the front desk all the way up to the Vets, they are top notch and truly care about our animals and provide the best care. I couldn’t be more grateful for everything they do and will never go to another vet. They are family!!❤️❤️

Delano Veterinary Clinic Introduce
Welcome to the introduction of Delano Veterinary Clinic, a pet hospital located at 504 Babcock Blvd E, Delano, MN 55328, USA. As a local provider in the "Pet Hospital" category, Delano Veterinary Clinic offers veterinary services to the community. You can contact them at (763) 972-3534 or via mobile at +1 763-972-3534.
Based on the available customer reviews, experiences with Delano Veterinary Clinic appear to be varied. One customer shares a deeply positive experience, highlighting the clinic's "amazing" staff who have been supportive through numerous health challenges with their dog, described as a "frequent flyer." They commend the clinic for always making time, showing understanding towards concerned pet owners, and providing top-notch care from the front desk to the veterinarians. This reviewer felt so well-supported that they consider the clinic staff as "family" and would not go to another vet.
Conversely, another review presents a negative experience regarding the clinic's policy on rabies vaccinations for indoor cats. This customer, with cats that never go outside and are not legally required to have rabies vaccines in their situation according to Minnesota state law, was told they would not receive a food prescription refill without an updated rabies vaccine. The reason given was that staff could not handle unvaccinated pets. This reviewer also alleges that the clinic contacted their previous vet about the vaccination status and suggests that the clinic sells unnecessary services.
Considering these contrasting perspectives, let's explore what one might generally expect from a pet hospital like Delano Veterinary Clinic.
While specific details about the clinic's environment are not extensively available online, we can infer some aspects based on the positive review. The mention of the entire staff being "top notch" suggests a professional and likely well-organized clinic. Typically, a pet hospital environment includes:
- Reception Area: Where clients and their pets are greeted. The positive review indicates a helpful and caring front desk staff.
- Examination Rooms: Private areas for veterinarians to examine pets and discuss health concerns with owners. The detailed care described in the positive review would take place here.
- Treatment Area: For administering medications and performing non-surgical procedures.
- Surgical Suite (if applicable): A sterile environment for surgical operations, as the positive review mentions a mass removal.
- Kenneling Facilities: For housing pets before and after procedures or for medical boarding.
The positive reviewer's description of the clinic being there "every step of the way" through various health issues suggests a facility equipped to handle a range of medical needs.
As a member of the Pet Hospital category, Delano Veterinary Clinic likely offers a variety of services to address the health needs of pets. Based on the customer reviews, these services include:
- General Wellness Exams: Routine check-ups to monitor overall health.
- Treatment of Illnesses: As highlighted by the care for pneumonia and ear infections.
- Wound Care: Evidenced by the treatment of a torn paw.
- Allergy Management: Addressing pet allergies.
- Surgical Procedures: Such as mass removal.
- Prescription Services: Including prescription food, which was a point of contention in one review.
- Counseling and Support for Pet Owners: Implied by the positive reviewer's comment about it being a "Vet and Counseling Clinic."
The contrasting review raises questions about the necessity of certain services, specifically rabies vaccinations for indoor cats in their situation, and the potential impact on prescription refills.
Based on the customer feedback, potential features of Delano Veterinary Clinic include:
- Caring and Supportive Staff: Praised in the positive review for their empathy and willingness to go the extra mile.
- Experienced Veterinary Team: Capable of handling complex and ongoing health issues.
- Comprehensive Care: Addressing a wide range of medical needs.
However, the negative review suggests a potentially rigid policy regarding vaccinations and prescription refills, which might be seen as a less accommodating feature by some pet owners.
There is no specific promotional information available in the provided text. Pet hospitals sometimes offer introductory specials or promotions on certain services. To learn about any current offers at Delano Veterinary Clinic, it would be best to contact them directly.
For local users in Delano, MN, Delano Veterinary Clinic, located at 504 Babcock Blvd E, offers veterinary services for your pets. The reviews present two distinct perspectives. One highlights the exceptional support and care provided by a compassionate and dedicated team, who are seen as partners in their pet's health journey. The other raises concerns about mandatory vaccinations for prescription refills, even when not legally required, and suggests a potential inclination towards selling unnecessary services.
As a Pet Hospital in your community, Delano Veterinary Clinic aims to provide for your animal's medical needs. Depending on your priorities, such as the level of ongoing support for complex health issues versus flexibility on certain preventative measures, your experience may vary.
If you are a pet owner in Delano looking for veterinary care, you may want to consider both the positive feedback regarding comprehensive and supportive care, and the negative feedback concerning specific policies. Contacting the clinic directly to discuss your pet's needs and their policies might help you determine if Delano Veterinary Clinic is the right fit for you.
To get a more complete understanding of Delano Veterinary Clinic's approach to patient care, their specific services, and their policies on preventative treatments and prescription refills, you can call them at (763) 972-3534. This direct communication can help you make an informed decision about your pet's healthcare.
In conclusion, Delano Veterinary Clinic has received high praise for its caring staff and comprehensive support, particularly for pets with significant health issues. However, potential clients should also be aware of the concerns raised regarding vaccination policies and prescription refills. Weighing these different experiences will be important for local pet owners considering this clinic.

Aug 30, 2024 · Angela BischkeI have two indoor cats, indoor, meaning they never go outside unless we are holding them or brushing them on the deck. In the State of MN you are not required to give them rabies vaccine, unless you are a pet store or selling pets. I have one dog who is vaccinated because she does go outside on a regular basis - the only other animal they come in contact with. They said they would not refill a food Rx for my cats w/o an updated rabies vaccine and used the excuse that staff could not handle unvaccinated pets. Literally been doing this for four years of their life - my cats are 5 human years old. Literally, left previous vet, went more local to find that they spoke with my previous vet regarding the unvaccinated. Got on the phone w/ previous vet while in the cat appointment and the Delano vet quickly left the exam room - I guess they weren't expecting that. To say they sell what's not necessary definitely holds true to some of these other reviews.
Jan 21, 2025 · Vision GraphicsNever picks up the phone I’ve been trying to call almost everyday for the past week to schedule a spay and it goes to voicemail every time. I also asked for a call back for my cat’s first visit as I wasn’t able to go to it and never got one. Probabaly wont go back.
May 12, 2025 · Gabby OlsonI have been bringing my English Bulldog Millie here since she was a puppy. The staff is so wonderful and love Millie like their own dog. It's more like a spa day than the dreaded trip to the vet.
Nov 02, 2024 · rochelle allenKayla was very unprofessional and very cold when she said, get ready to say goodbye to my little dog. (Collapsing treachea )..,never went back there
