Wonderful service oriented staff. Very informative and courteous. The groomer did a fantastic job. After 3 different groomers failed to properly cut my Yorkie correctly, Amanda accomplished exactly what I expected on the first effort! This is her new groomer from this point on. Thank you

Welcoming staff with our first visit for my two cats. The clinic was clean, the appointment was fulfilled on time, the cats were treated gently, and the clinic provided a first visit discount. Their temperatures and weight were recorded. Their bodies were checked externally and their teeth were examined. However their hearts and lungs were not listened to which had always been part of a well visit to other veterinarians.

Been coming to the vet for years. Their communication is unmatched, and you can tell they genuinely care. I have a dog who can be a bit reactive, and they have only ever been compassionate and caring with me and him. They get in touch quickly, answer all my questions promptly - 10 stars for these guys.

To say that I am disappointed is an understatement. I did extensive research for a veterinarian and called around and asked questions about the care offered. I explained my dog’s situation and decided to go with Dekalb Animal Hospital. When I arrived, everyone was friendly and hospitable. The doctor spent time with my dog and asked questions, and then I was offered treatment options that came up to $1,100. I declined due to the steep cost and not fully understanding what the cost covered. I decided to get blood work done, hoping that would give me a better idea of my dog's condition. The medication and bloodwork still cost $400. Dr. Ried was extremely friendly but could not give me a definite answer on what could be wrong with my dog and referred me to St. Francis Animal Hospital. I gave my dog the antibiotic that was prescribed, and my dog got worse. I appreciate the service that I received, but to get blood work and antibiotics only to be referred to another animal hospital and having spent $400 for my dog only to get worse is not my ideal experience. From my experience alone, I would not recommend Dekalb Animal Hospital. I have not contacted St. Francis Animal Hospital, and I don’t know if I am due to my experience with Dekalb Animal Hospital based on their referral. I am disappointed that I wasted my time and especially my money on my dog, which only made it worse, and I am left with more questions than answers. If I was going to get referred to another animal hospital, I should have gone there first. The only reason I gave two stars is because of the staff. I would NOT recommend this animal hospital.

Dr. Courtney and her vet tech were absolutely caring, complete, and professional. I felt at ease. They knew the love and concern for my pet was special and important. We have established care with another pet and also had terrific service with him. I trust DeKalb animal hospital for any concern.
