It's sad to see all these abandoned pets here. It would be a good investment if the Animal Shelter could change the way they shelter these animals with creating a 1 month clearance of health for each pet then have a open area created where for example they have tree houses for cats to play together on format of grass so they can get exercise & not be in cage all day, every day with no ability to run & use their muscles. If not creat ports to exit room areas where they can go outside with in a fenced area so they can exercise, & come back in to their bowl to feed n bed. I do credit the work done by staff.

Welcome to Cumberland Veterinary Hospital

As a local pet hospital, Cumberland Veterinary Hospital likely provides a facility equipped for various aspects of animal healthcare. This typically includes examination rooms for consultations, areas for administering treatments and medications, and potentially surgical facilities for more complex procedures. Diagnostic equipment such as X-ray machines and laboratory services may also be available to aid in the assessment and treatment of animal health issues. Maintaining a clean and organized environment is crucial in a veterinary hospital setting to ensure the well-being of the animals and prevent the spread of disease. However, specific details regarding the environment of Cumberland Veterinary Hospital are not provided in the available information.

Under the platform category of "Pet Hospital," Cumberland Veterinary Hospital would generally offer a range of veterinary services aimed at addressing the health needs of pets. These often include routine wellness exams and vaccinations for preventative care, as well as diagnostic services to identify illnesses and injuries. Medical treatments for various conditions, surgical interventions, and dental care are also commonly provided. The mention of abandoned pets in one review, while not directly related to the hospital's services to paying customers, might suggest some level of involvement with animal welfare or local shelters. However, the primary services would focus on the medical and surgical care of owned pets. Without further information, a comprehensive list of all services offered by Cumberland Veterinary Hospital cannot be compiled.

The available customer reviews for Cumberland Veterinary Hospital present a mixed and concerning picture. One review expresses sadness about the number of abandoned pets and suggests improvements for animal sheltering, while commending the work done by the staff in that context. This review does not directly address the veterinary services provided to paying customers. However, the other, more detailed review outlines significant negative experiences related to customer service and clinic management. This customer, who had been a client since 2014, reported increasing issues with long wait times, sometimes exceeding two hours, even with scheduled appointments. There was also an instance of being turned away for being five minutes late, followed by an excessively long wait at the rescheduled appointment.

The most concerning aspects of the detailed review involve allegations of disrespectful and mean treatment by a receptionist. The customer recounts rude phone interactions, being made to wait for an extended period in their car during inclement weather, and overhearing negative gossip about them while waiting in the exam room. Furthermore, the customer alleges being laughed at and dismissed by the receptionist when inquiring about the wait time. Issues with billing, including a higher-than-usual charge and a past double charge, were also reported, along with an aggressive and unhelpful response from the receptionist when questioning the bill. The customer felt so mistreated that they began recording the interaction. While the reviewer acknowledges that Dr. Banks "knows what he is doing," they strongly criticize the cleanliness of the facility and the unacceptable behavior of the receptionist. The reviewer ultimately downgraded their rating due to the negative experiences with the front office staff.

Given the serious nature of the complaints in the detailed review, potential customers should carefully consider these experiences when evaluating Cumberland Veterinary Hospital for their pet care needs. The discrepancy between the perceived competence of the veterinarian and the reported issues with customer service and clinic management is notable. These reviews highlight potential challenges in the overall client experience, beyond the direct medical care provided.

Currently, no promotional information is available for Cumberland Veterinary Hospital in the provided data. Veterinary hospitals may occasionally offer promotions or discounts on certain services. However, without any such information, it is not possible to comment on any promotional activities that Cumberland Veterinary Hospital might be engaged in.

When selecting a local pet hospital, pet owners typically consider factors such as the quality of medical care, the expertise and compassion of the veterinary staff, the range of services offered, the cleanliness and comfort of the facility, and the overall customer service experience. The available reviews for Cumberland Veterinary Hospital offer conflicting perspectives, with one suggesting competent medical care but significant issues with the front office management and customer relations. Potential clients may need to weigh these factors and consider seeking additional information or perspectives before making a decision about their pet's care.

In conclusion, Cumberland Veterinary Hospital in Vineland, NJ, is a local pet hospital providing veterinary services. While one review offers a neutral observation about animal sheltering and commends the staff involved, another detailed review raises serious concerns regarding long wait times, disrespectful treatment by the receptionist, and issues with billing. While the medical expertise of Dr. Banks is acknowledged in the negative review, the significant complaints about customer service and clinic management should be carefully considered by potential clients seeking veterinary care at this facility. No promotional information is currently available.

We have been going to Dr Banks since 2014; and the last few visits we were really disappointed on the wait time; I have some health issues and the long wait isn’t good for me; when I say long wait is over 2 hours. 4 visits ago; the receptionist said we couldn’t been seen because we were 5 minutes late; okay we understood and she rescheduled us; we arrived 15 minutes early and were seen 1:47 minutes after our appointment. My dog has chronic issues which make us visit the vet every 5 weeks and spend around $200 each visit. Our last appointment we were treated with NO RESPECT at all. The receptionist was mean when we called and she said: I’m offering you that day and time do you want or not? When I asked if she had any other openings. Okay; we let it go and scheduled the visit. At the day of the appointment due the COVID19 we had to wait inside the car until they called us in. Upon arrival we called and advised we were there; her answer - wow you are 20 minutes early! I thought she meant well; after waiting for almost 2 hours inside our car ( was cold and raining) we were called in and sent to the exam room. One hour inside and nothing; we could hear the gossiping about us; saying that we would learn to wait. I couldn’t wait anymore I needed my medication and my dog was impaciente; so I asked the receptionist how long more we would have to wait; she look into my eyes and said - you can re schedule if you aren’t willing to wait. I asked her if she was kidding and she laughed at me and turned her back.... After few more minutes doctor Banks came and in less then 10 minutes he was all done with my dog; I went to pay and the price was way over what we usually pay; and at the past visit we were double charged; so I asked why the price; she yelled at me; saying that she would put up with me; and after I pay I would be able to see the description; I started to record all the insults; I decided to go inside and ask Doctor Banks to help me out; and she was yelling even more the answers for my question (the ones she refused to answer before) I never felt so embarrassed and mistreated by anyone like this. I asked Dr Banks if our business wasn’t welcomed; because I wouldn’t mind if he was honest about; his answer was: he is one of my easiest patients I would have told you so. I honestly don’t know if she hates me because I’m an immigrant (double citizenship) or because she tried to hold my dog once; like she was holding a bull; and I told her he wouldn’t have to be held; and Dr Banks was aware of it; he even told her; he is good he won’t move. That is the only thing I could recall to get an explanation of how bad we were treated. Dr Banks knows what he is doing.; but he needs to get the place properly cleaned; it’s terrible! And about the receptionist I really don’t think is an acceptable way to treat a customer. I have listened to the recording many times before downgrading my review and every time I listen I get more upset and disappointed.

We had liked this place until we had an experience with their dishonesty. I brought my dog in for neutering; while I was there, I asked them to look at his tail, which had issues. After the surgery, they called for me to pick him up and said the bill would be $xxx.00, for the neutering, the tail, and his ear infection. I said, ":I hadn't asked you to look at his ear; please remove the charge for that." They then called my wife, not me, to say they never want to see us or my dog back there again. The experience was like bringing a car in to have the brakes checked and they did that and worked on the A/C without checking with me. At least at the repair shop they get your authorization before doing the work.

They are very expensive and other people I know have taken their dogs for vaccinations and they have been charged a lot less than what I have paid for mine and they have expressed that he’s too expensive. I took my dogs there since they were babies so I wanted to keep them with the same doctor. One day I made an appointment for (9:00am) one of my dogs who was in a lot of pain. An hour later we’re called in. Meanwhile, a woman walks in talking abt how she had found a cat in a field, who had lost an eye, but she didn’t have a lot of money to get him fixed. She came in 45 mins. After me and was seen before me. I suspected some indifference towards me when I would get over charged but I ignored it. Animal’s are all different colors. But, it was an emergency appointment and my dog was in so much pain. Yet, it was almost an hour later in the waiting room and them we were in the waiting room at least 20mins. I heard him talking to the woman with the cat. I just told him that “I thought he was better than that.” A year later, I called to make an appointment for my two little dogs, and I was told that their files were taken out and they didn’t know whether I was going to be seen. They had to ask the doctor. So this is the kind of person that you’re dealing with, I thought let bygones be by gone, but I guess that wasn’t so for him .
