Receptionist was judgmental about my care of my 2 year old puppy. He is up to date on his shots and I give him regular heart guard and flea and tick prevention. He is due for a heart worm test in order for me to continue to care for him with heart guard. When I asked to schedule the heart worm test she laughed at me and said that it's been a long time since we have been in and preceded to list off shots that she thinks he needs and said he needs a to see the doctor too even though the tech can draw blood. When I advised her that he does not need the shots, she had a very judgemental voice when asking me if I board or even groom my dog. I said no to both. I understand if it a policy to need to feel up my perfectly healthy dog before letting him have a blood draw for heart worms.. but why judge me and laugh because he doesn't need to see the vet all the time, because I groom him fine on my own, and because he is not boarded?? I've been going here with animals since childhood and this attempt I made at making an appointment was not the service or understanding atmosphere it used to be. I'm looking to see if I can get my heart guard prescription somewhere else.

Recent customer reviews present a mixed picture of the current experience at Cryan Veterinary Hospital. One pet owner reported a negative interaction with the receptionist, feeling judged regarding their puppy's care and questioning the necessity of a full vet visit for a heartworm test blood draw. This reviewer, a long-time customer, noted a decline in the previously experienced service and understanding atmosphere and is now considering alternative options for heartworm medication.

Several reviewers mentioned changes in staff, with some long-term vets having retired and temporary vets now being employed. This shift appears to have impacted the perceived level of customer care, with some feeling less like valued clients compared to past experiences. One customer noted a lack of a strong relationship with the current staff, leading to a less personal experience.

Another instance involved being offered samples of medication at a significantly higher per-pill price than available at a pet pharmacy. While the customer appreciated the samples, it highlighted a potential cost difference for ongoing prescriptions.

In the past, a customer who had been with Cryan Veterinary Hospital for 15 years valued the level of care, concern, genuine listening, and personalized attention to their pet's overall health. However, with a new pet and different vets, this level of experience is reportedly not the same.

Financial information from one review indicated a cost of $91.25 for a medical exam and $56 for a heartworm test.

As a local 'Pet Hospital,' Cryan Veterinary Hospital has seemingly undergone changes that have affected some long-term clients' experiences. While specific details about the current environment, full range of services, features, or any promotional information are not detailed online, potential new clients may want to consider the recent feedback regarding customer service and staff changes when making decisions about their pet's care.

This is not the same place I went to with my last pup! Meaning some have retired and they employ temporary vets now who aren't there full time. That said, I don't feel like I'm a valued customer- in my last few interactions, I haven't felt the same warm fuzzy metaphorical hug as from previous years past. I'm more another person versus a valued customer. Not to say they didn't take time, but I don't have a relationship, nor does my pet and that leaves me feeling more than a little flat. I also was told "we have that med here and I can get you a few" as they were giving me samples not charging me $3.68 a pill for something I could get from a pet pharmacy for 50 cents a pill. I shopped around and found them 15 years ago and the level of care and concern was what kept me as a customer, they genuinely listened and looked at my pups overall health and we discussed concerns, they always remembered him when he visited and were loving with him. New pet, not the same vets and not the same experience- Medical Exam was $91.25 Heart worm test $56

Our first visit with our allergic to most things dog. A long conversation in what we’re doing right, how to improve, how to be a good leader, and how to show our dog appreciation. We will definitely be going back.

I can't express enough how grateful I am for the amazing staff at Cryan! My dog has torn both of her ACLs and had to undergo surgeries. Thanks to the smooth and efficient process at Cryan, Annie is back to her happy self! My cat is a whole different story. He's a hot mess and not always the friendliest. Thankfully, they are always there to help with his many health issues. The staff is so passionate and caring. Not to mention PATIENT with all my animals. I couldn't have asked for a better place to take care of my pets!

Happy to find this veterinary office. We just relocated to Westerville and established care over the phone in case there was a need before our first regular visit was needed. As it turns out, we were in need of urgent care for our dog and the staff and vet were very kind, knowledgeable, and compassionate. All our care options were explained to us and pricing schedules shared before any decisions were made. They made us feel confident about the process and the outcome proved most favorable as our dog recovered quickly and continues to do well. Highly satisfied with our experience and look forward to future visits at this office.
