Found them with our first puppy and they were absolutely amazing with their care and compassion. Unfortunately we had to put our last puppy down due to epileptic seizures and they were caring throughout the entire process. We got a new puppy and they were the first place I called. Their staff is friendly, caring, and compassionate to their clients and understanding of what the the human parents want for their fur babies. Highly recommended and I look forward to continuing to bring my fur baby to you guys.

Operating under the comprehensive category of a "Pet Hospital," Crossroads Veterinary Clinic provides an extensive range of veterinary medical services and related goods for sale, ensuring that all aspects of a pet's health and well-being are addressed under one roof. This designation signifies their capability to handle everything from routine preventative care to complex medical conditions, emergencies, and even sensitive end-of-life care.

The environment at Crossroads Veterinary Clinic is consistently praised by clients as being "efficient, clean, and friendly." This combination creates a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere for both pets and their human companions, helping to reduce stress during veterinary visits. The staff's demeanor is frequently highlighted, with terms like "friendly, caring, and compassionate" used to describe their interactions with clients and their understanding of what "human parents want for their fur babies." Even during difficult times, such as end-of-life care, clients report feeling "supported and loved," indicating a truly empathetic and supportive environment. The overall impression is one of a well-organized and hygienic facility where the well-being of the animals and the comfort of their owners are paramount. The positive experiences reported across a spectrum of situations—from first puppy visits to emergencies and compassionate euthanasia—underscore the consistent quality of their environment and staff interactions.

Crossroads Veterinary Clinic offers a comprehensive spectrum of veterinary services designed to support pets through all stages of their lives, from puppyhood to their senior years. Their extensive services, based on client reviews, indicate a full-service approach, including but not limited to:

  • General Wellness and Preventative Care: This is the cornerstone of their practice, including routine physical examinations crucial for monitoring overall health, early detection of issues, and providing personalized advice on nutrition, exercise, and preventative measures.

  • Vaccinations: Administration of essential vaccines tailored to individual pet needs to protect against common and serious infectious diseases.

  • Parasite Prevention and Control: Comprehensive programs to prevent and treat both internal (e.g., heartworms, intestinal worms) and external parasites (e.g., fleas, ticks), vital for both pet and public health.

  • Diagnosis and Treatment of Illnesses and Injuries: Providing medical care for a wide range of acute and chronic conditions. Clients mention dealing with "epileptic seizures," indicating their capability to manage serious health issues.

  • Emergency Services: While not a 24/7 emergency center, client reviews confirm their ability to handle "emergencies," suggesting they provide urgent care during operational hours and are responsive to immediate medical needs.

  • Surgical Procedures: Although specific types of surgeries aren't detailed, as a "Pet Hospital" that handles "emergencies," it's highly probable they perform common soft tissue surgeries (e.g., spay/neuter, mass removals) and potentially emergency surgeries if needed.

  • Dental Care: While not explicitly mentioned, comprehensive pet hospitals typically offer professional dental cleanings, extractions, and oral health assessments.

  • Laboratory Services: Implied by their diagnostic capabilities and efficiency, they would conduct or utilize external laboratories for various tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and fecal exams for accurate and timely diagnoses.

  • Pain Management: Strategies to alleviate pain and discomfort for pets, particularly relevant for chronic conditions or post-surgical recovery, as well as during end-of-life care.

  • Nutritional Counseling: Guidance on appropriate diets for pets of all ages and health conditions.

  • Microchipping: Offering microchip implantation for permanent identification, greatly increasing the chances of reuniting lost pets with their owners.

  • Compassionate End-of-Life Care: A deeply appreciated service, as highlighted by multiple reviews. Clients praise their caring approach "throughout the entire process" when making the difficult decision to put a pet down, making sure clients feel "supported and loved."

The features that make Crossroads Veterinary Clinic stand out are overwhelmingly positive and consistently praised by their loyal clientele:

  • Exceptional Compassion and Empathy: This is perhaps their most celebrated feature. Multiple reviews underscore their "caring," "compassionate," "sweet," and "loving" approach towards both pets and their human parents, especially during highly emotional and challenging situations like euthanasia. This genuine concern goes "above and beyond."

  • Highly Recommended and Trusted: The clinic has built immense trust within the community, with clients expressing strong recommendations and intentions to continue bringing their pets for future care. Phrases like "Highly recommended" and "I look forward to continuing to bring my fur baby to you guys" are clear indicators of client satisfaction.

  • Talented and Supportive Staff: The entire staff, from veterinarians to support personnel, is described as "very talented." This suggests not only medical proficiency but also excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork, contributing to a seamless and positive client experience.

  • Efficiency and Cleanliness: Beyond compassion, the practice is noted for its operational efficiency and cleanliness, contributing to a professional and organized environment that instills confidence in clients.

  • Comprehensive Care for All Life Stages and Situations: Clients have experienced their services for everything "from checkups to emergencies to end of life care," demonstrating their capability to provide consistent, high-quality care across a broad spectrum of veterinary needs and pet life stages.

  • Understanding of Client Needs: The staff is explicitly recognized for being "understanding of what the human parents want for their fur babies," indicating a client-centric approach where communication and client preferences are valued.

Regarding promotional information, Crossroads Veterinary Clinic's strong reputation and positive word-of-mouth appear to be their most significant form of "promotion." While specific, time-limited promotional offers are not detailed in the provided reviews, veterinary clinics often employ various strategies or value propositions that implicitly serve as promotions:

  • Loyalty and Long-Term Relationships: The numerous reviews from long-term clients ("We've been with Crossroads for years") are a testament to their ability to foster lasting relationships. This consistent, reliable care is a powerful draw for pet owners seeking a stable veterinary partner.

  • Acceptance of New Clients: The fact that clients are "first place I called" for a new puppy suggests they are open and welcoming to new patients, even those who have previously experienced care elsewhere.

  • Comprehensive Services: Offering a wide range of services "from checkups to emergencies to end of life care" means clients don't need to seek multiple providers for different needs, offering convenience and continuity of care.

  • Compassionate End-of-Life Support: While a difficult service, their highly praised approach to euthanasia is a strong positive differentiator. For owners facing this decision, knowing they will receive such empathetic support is invaluable.

  • Client Education and Communication: While not explicitly stated as a promotion, their caring approach often includes clear communication and education, empowering pet owners to make informed decisions for their pets' health.

  • Payment Options: Like most veterinary clinics, they likely accept various payment methods, including credit cards, and may work with third-party financing solutions like CareCredit to help manage veterinary expenses.

For detailed information on specific services, pricing, or to inquire about any current offerings, it is always recommended to contact Crossroads Veterinary Clinic directly at (607) 756-4240. I’ve been here two times so far and each experience has been great. You can tell the staff genuinely cares about your pet’s issue. I recently had an appointment with Dr. Frederick and he was great, very friendly and informative. I highly recommend this veterinary clinic :)

I always have a good experience with Crossroads from the moment I walk in the door. The staff is caring and considerate and always professional and knowledgeable, they don't try to run test after test if not necessary and will consult with each other for opinions. Thanks to Dr. Frederick & Dr. Wood for taking care of Mr. Hershey.

We love everyone at Crossroads! Everyone is friendly to us and our dogs, especially the dogs. We have had quite a few visits these past 2 months and with each one we have felt at ease , we have left knowing exactly what to do with our girls, our girls leave happy. We just couldn't ask for a better Veterinary Clinic for our Sully and Lucy.
