We took our perfectly healthy 10 year old Sheppard mix in for a teeth cleaning that was recommended by the clinic. We did not get to bring our sweet baby home with us. And to top it off, they tried to give us a bill while we picked up her body. Would never recommended or step foot back in this building.

Welcome to Cresco Veterinary Clinic

Welcome to the introduction of Cresco Veterinary Clinic, formerly serving the Cresco, Iowa community as a dedicated Pet Hospital. While Cresco Veterinary Clinic is now closed and has merged with their Harmony, Minnesota office, we aim to provide a comprehensive overview of the services and environment that pet owners in the Cresco area may have experienced or can now find at their affiliated Harmony location.

As a Pet Hospital, Cresco Veterinary Clinic aimed to be a central resource for the health and well-being of your beloved animal companions. Understanding the deep bond between pets and their owners, the clinic strived to offer a range of services designed to keep pets healthy and happy throughout their lives. While specific details about the Cresco clinic's environment are limited due to its closure, typically, a veterinary clinic like Cresco would have provided a comfortable and welcoming space for both pets and their owners. This would generally include a reception area where pet owners could check in and schedule appointments, examination rooms where veterinarians could conduct consultations and perform check-ups, and potentially separate areas for surgical procedures, imaging, and housing for animals staying at the clinic.

The services typically offered at a comprehensive Pet Hospital like Cresco Veterinary Clinic would have covered a broad spectrum of veterinary care. These services generally include preventative care, which is crucial for maintaining your pet's long-term health. Preventative care often encompasses routine check-ups, vaccinations to protect against common and potentially dangerous diseases, parasite control (including fleas, ticks, and heartworms), and nutritional counseling to ensure your pet is receiving the appropriate diet for their age, breed, and activity level. Dental care is another vital aspect of preventative health, and as indicated in one of the reviews, Cresco Veterinary Clinic did offer teeth cleaning services. Maintaining good oral hygiene is essential for preventing dental disease, which can lead to other health problems if left untreated.

Beyond preventative care, Cresco Veterinary Clinic would have likely offered diagnostic services to help identify and understand any health issues your pet might be facing. These services often include laboratory testing (such as blood work, urine analysis, and fecal exams), which can provide valuable insights into your pet's internal health. Imaging techniques, such as X-rays, may have also been available to help visualize internal structures and diagnose conditions affecting bones, organs, and tissues. In more complex cases, ultrasound may have been used to provide real-time images of internal organs.

For pets requiring medical treatment, Cresco Veterinary Clinic would have provided a range of services to address illnesses and injuries. This could include administering medications, providing supportive care, and managing chronic conditions. Surgical services are also a common offering at Pet Hospitals, ranging from routine procedures like spaying and neutering to more complex surgeries for various health issues. Anesthesia would be a critical component of surgical procedures, with trained staff monitoring patients closely to ensure their safety and comfort.

In emergency situations, a Pet Hospital plays a crucial role in providing immediate care for pets experiencing sudden illnesses or injuries. While the availability of 24/7 emergency services at Cresco Veterinary Clinic specifically is not mentioned, many comprehensive veterinary practices offer or have affiliations with emergency clinics to ensure pets receive timely care when needed.

Features of a typical Pet Hospital often include a team of qualified and compassionate veterinary professionals, including veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and support staff. These individuals are dedicated to providing the best possible care for your pets. The clinic would likely have been equipped with the necessary medical equipment and supplies to perform various diagnostic and treatment procedures. Maintaining a clean and comfortable environment is also a key feature, helping to reduce stress for both pets and their owners.

Based on the information available, it is important to acknowledge the feedback from a customer regarding a negative experience at Cresco Veterinary Clinic. This review raises serious concerns about the quality of care and communication provided in at least one instance. While this review should be taken into consideration, it represents a single experience and may not be indicative of the overall care provided by the clinic historically. However, it is a crucial piece of information for local users to be aware of.

It is also critical to note the information stating, "Unfortunately, the Cresco office has closed and joined the Harmony, MN office." This means that Cresco Veterinary Clinic is no longer operating at the provided address in Cresco, Iowa. Local users seeking veterinary care that was previously offered by Cresco Veterinary Clinic will now need to contact or visit the Harmony, Minnesota location. The phone number provided for Cresco Veterinary Clinic, (563) 547-3121 and the mobile phone number +1 563-547-3121, may or may not still be active for the Harmony office. It is advisable to search online for the contact information of the merged Harmony, MN office to inquire about services and appointments.

Therefore, for local users in Cresco, Iowa, while Cresco Veterinary Clinic in its physical location is no longer an option, the services and care they may have sought are now likely available at the Harmony, MN office. We recommend contacting the Harmony office directly to learn more about their environment, specific services, features, and any promotional information they may currently offer. Be cautious if you are thinking about bringing your dog here to get a dental cleaning, they are to teeth-pulling-happy for me. We always took my dog to North Fayette Animal Clinic in West Union for teeth cleaning. The only time they every removed a tooth is when my dog cracked her tooth on an extra-hard treat, and they called us before they pulled the tooth. The one time we took her to the Cresco, IA clinic for a teeth cleaning, we came to pick her up at the end of the day and they told us they had to pull 6 teeth (no phone call or anything until after it was already done). It makes me wonder if they pull them rather than put a little extra effort into cleaning them. They also get to charge extra when they pull the teeth. I lost a lot of trust in this clinic. I will still bring my dog here, but only for routine shots that don’t require my dog to leave my sight. I will travel anywhere else before allowing the Harmony/Cresco clinic to clean my dogs teeth again.
