Located at 347 Littleton Rd, Westford, MA 01886, Craig Smith, VMD provides veterinary care for your beloved pets. With a focus on the health and well-being of your animals, the clinic offers a range of services to address their healthcare needs.
While specific details about the clinic's environment are not provided in the reviews, a calm and well-cared-for atmosphere for pets during procedures is mentioned by one reviewer. This suggests that the clinic strives to create a comfortable setting for animals receiving treatment. However, it's always recommended to contact the clinic directly or visit the premises to gain a comprehensive understanding of the facilities.
Dr. Craig Smith, VMD, is the veterinarian at this location. With a practice history spanning at least ten years according to one review, Dr. Smith has been serving the local pet owner community. The positive feedback regarding a calm and well-cared-for experience for a cat during a procedure indicates a level of professional care and attention to the animals' comfort.
The services offered at Craig Smith, VMD, as a Pet Hospital, likely encompass a range of essential veterinary care. Based on the information and common practices in the field, these services may include:
General Wellness and Preventative Care: This typically involves routine check-ups, vaccinations to protect against common diseases, and parasite prevention for fleas, ticks, and heartworms. These services are crucial for maintaining your pet's long-term health and detecting potential issues early.
Medical Services: When your pet becomes ill or injured, Craig Smith, VMD would provide medical care to diagnose and treat a variety of conditions. This could include managing illnesses, treating injuries, and providing supportive care.
Surgical Procedures: Depending on the clinic's capabilities, surgical services such as spaying and neutering, as well as other soft tissue surgeries, might be offered. These procedures are essential for population control and addressing certain medical conditions.
Dental Care: Maintaining your pet's oral health is vital. Veterinary dental services often include examinations, teeth cleaning, and treatment for dental diseases to prevent pain and systemic health issues.
Medication Dispensing: Pet hospitals typically dispense medications necessary for treating illnesses or for preventative care, such as flea and tick preventatives. This allows pet owners to conveniently obtain the medications their pets need.
One positive feature highlighted in the reviews is the perceived quality of care provided to pets during procedures, with one cat described as calm and well-taken care of. Additionally, a long-term client of ten years expressed overall happiness with the care and service received over that period.
However, it's important to acknowledge more recent feedback indicating potential challenges in customer service. One reviewer detailed difficulties experienced with obtaining an online order for flea and tick medication. This included perceived rudeness and a lack of helpfulness from the front desk staff, potentially impacting the ease of acquiring necessary pet medications. The reviewer also expressed concern about a possible preference for in-clinic purchases of these medications at full price.
This recent negative experience suggests a potential shift in customer service quality or a specific issue encountered by this particular client. While one pet owner reported a positive experience regarding the animal's care during a procedure and another cited ten years of satisfaction, this more recent feedback raises a point of concern for pet owners seeking consistent and helpful service, particularly regarding medication acquisition.

Nov 17, 2024 · Max HWe have gone to this vet for 10 years and have been happy with the care and service. I’m not sure what happened recently, but things have gone downhill quickly. The woman at the front desk (maybe the owner?) made things rather challenging. I’m not sure if it’s because they would rather charge full price for flea and tick meds but they made it really challenging to get the online order validated. When I called to ask for help, they were not helpful and were downright rude. When I finally went in to the Vet to just buy it since they still had not validated the order the woman (owner?) was again rude and not helpful. We needed the pet meds and it sucks when the vet office is the one standing in the way for completion. I own a small business and I get that customer facing things can be challenging, but there was zero reason for this to happen and there appears to be no attempt to make it right. Unfortunately, we will need to take our business elsewhere.
Sep 05, 2024 · Dana Newell-Fouche (PT with Dana)So happy to bring our girls to Nashoba Valley after being without pets for several years. They were so awesome, I arrived for my appointment and the said sorry your appointment was last week. It was for like the 12th and I showed up on the 21st. The accommodated me and got Ginger in!! That was so awesome! She was so shy and the vet was awesome sitting on the floor with her to get her used to her!! I love this place!! Thank you so much for the awesome team at the reception desk for being so nice and accommodating!!!

Aug 02, 2024 · Michael TannahillI'd love to give a great review... But.. The sign out front and pictures on line show "boarding service" so I called to inquire. "We don't offer boarding service, we just have not had the sign repainted yet". OK. So I also ask about veterinary services. "Unfortunately we are not accepting new clients at this time". No referral, just "no". Too bad.
