If I was not moving away, I'd stay with Cozy Cats. They have been an amazing team for all three of my cats, including the two pair bonded on that cannot do appointments alone. They aren't the cheapest, but their rates are not bad comparable to the service they provide. They are also usually able to provide specialty prescription food same day for prices lower than I'd see at stores. I also love to watch their office cats who have a wonderful little cat area. Thank you Cozy Cats for a wonderful 3 years, and I'm sad to have to move away.

The vet I have always wanted (and didn’t believe existed). I cannot say enough about what a relief it is to find Cozy Cats! The office is welcoming, quiet, and stress-free; the staff are kind and practical (no judging us about our cat being indoor/outdoor); the front desk staff are always friendly and responsive; and the building is shaped like a castle. (OK, that last bit is irrelevant.) We’ve taken our animals to 3 vets in the DC area (and another 3 when we moved elsewhere), and we’ve never had such a positive experience. Thank you, Cozy Cats!

Dr. Levy is a fantastic veterinarian. She is dedicated to the care of our feline family members. Additionally She donates her expertise, time, and care to cat rescue groups. She has a wonderful practice! Highly recommend!

I was so excited to find a cats-only vet, but have been sorely disappointed. I brought my cat in because she was breathing strangely. When Dr. Levy came in, she did not ask any questions about my cat's health history, and immediately started reprimanding me about my cat's weight (my cat is 10lbs... a little chunky I know but not morbidly obese or anything!). After chest x-rays came back clear, Dr. Levy made comments that were very stressful and unhelpful, such as "well some types of cancer don't show up on an x-ray, so it could be a lot of things". After I mentioned that my cat most frequently did the strange breathing after eating, Dr. Levy decided that it was a digestive issue, even though I told her that I have seen her do the breathing at other times of day, and is seems like her breathing is not right. She put my cat on an acid reflux/digestive medication. About little while later, my cat's breathing got really bad really rapidly. I called the office, but they informed me that I would not be able to speak to any vet over the phone, and the best they could do would be to book an appointment for me for the following week. This was an emergency situation in which my cat was wheezing and unable to take a full breath, and the front desk staff would not allow me to even speak to a vet to ask what to do. I ended up at an emergency vet's office, where my cat was in such bad shape that she ended up on oxygen. The emergency vet easily diagnosed her with asthma and prescribed her a steroid. The emergency vet also commented that she "didn't know why anybody would prescribe acid reflux/digestive medications" for this type of breathing issue. If Dr. Levy had put my cat on proper medications, I likely never would have had to take her to the ER. Other small issues I have had include the following: - I emailed Dr. Levy to ask if dandruff is normal in cats, and if it is something that typically goes away on its own. She did not answer my question, only immediately prescribed me a medication without my knowledge. I got a call from the front desk the next day saying that my medication was ready, and they just needed permission to charge my card. I declined, as I had never agreed to get the medication in the first place, and the dandruff was gone in a few days on its own without me having to medicate my cat unnecessarily. - The emergency vet wrote me a prescription for a cat inhaler, which they sent to the Cozy Cats office. The front desk told me they could not fill the prescription at their own pharmacy, as they do not carry the medication, but they also don't work with outside pharmacies, so they would not pass the prescription on to CVS for me to get it filled. This left me unable to fill the prescription, and I had to go back to the emergency vet's office and get a new one. Overall, my experience at this practice has been extremely disappointing. I feel that the staff and practitioners treat their patience like numbers rather than holistic clients. They are quick to diagnose and prescribe, leading to misdiagnosis and over-prescription of medication. I would recommend taking your business and your furry friend elsewhere.

The best vet experience I have ever had! The office staff is amazing and attentive. Extremely kind and caring as well. Sharon, the office manager, is an angel. She gave me hugs and made me feel so supported when I had to drop my orange off for a dental cleaning. She sent me updates and gave my little one a bunch of love. He even got the cat of the day award! If you’re looking for a loving vet who truly cares about your kitty, go to cozy cats!!!!!! Thank you everyone at Cozy Cats for making me feel comfortable and confident leaving my baby in your care. I appreciate you all forever!
