Do NOT go to this vet. Two days before Christmas they sent him back with us after we brought him in, having told us he had urinary blockage. They sent him back with medicine, wet food, and a pamphlet after a few hours of him being in their care. They asked beforehand “how much money are we working with?” And we told them, a low budget. They had us pay $400 for the food and initial treatment, so reasonably when they offered to send him home with pills and a treatment plan with NO acknowledgement of his chances we assumed it was an at least somewhat viable option, that it would be better than putting him down immediately. They NEVER suggested euthanasia, NEVER told us how low the chances were. The pamphlet they gave us to read AFTER we paid, however, did. It outlined exactly how unlikely he was to survive. Christmas night, he died. He died in pain and agony that could have been prevented if they had simple overcame their greedy nature and told us that euthanasia would be a more humane option. Instead, they chose to take $400 from a struggling family two days before Christmas and not even warn them that their cat would be dead on what’s meant to be the happiest night. The people working at this veterinary clinic are monsters. Greedy, money-hungry monsters and they’ve ruined a family’s Christmas. Thanks a lot.

Countryside Veterinary Service - Champion is designed to accommodate the distinct needs of various animal types. For small animals, the facility functions as a full-service hospital, equipped with modern veterinary tools and spaces to facilitate examinations, diagnostics, treatment, and recovery. This includes dedicated examination rooms, a treatment area, and specialized areas for advanced diagnostics and surgery. The presence of boarding and grooming services indicates a commitment to offering convenient, integrated care for household pets, suggesting facilities designed for comfortable stays and professional grooming sessions. The overall environment strives to be conducive to animal well-being during their visits. For large animals, the primary mode of operation is an ambulatory service, where veterinarians travel to farms and other locations to provide on-site care, which is crucial for livestock and equines. This dual approach signifies a versatile and adaptive care model to meet the specific environmental requirements of different species.

Countryside Veterinary Service - Champion's key distinguishing feature is its comprehensive scope, serving both small and large animal populations, making it a unique and valuable resource in the Warren, OH area. This dual focus means they cater to a very broad client base, from individual pet owners to agricultural businesses. The provision of boarding and grooming alongside medical services for small animals adds significant convenience and promotes integrated pet care. The ambulatory large animal service is crucial, demonstrating their commitment to delivering veterinary care where it's most needed for livestock and horses. As part of the larger Countryside Veterinary Service network, they likely benefit from shared resources, specialized knowledge across multiple veterinarians, and established protocols. However, it is important to acknowledge that customer experiences can vary. While one review highlights the staff's "absolutely lovely," "very friendly" and caring demeanor, praising their ability to handle difficult pets during procedures like nail trims, another review raises significant concerns. This critical review points to potential issues with communication regarding prognosis, transparency in treatment options, and perceived financial motivations during critical situations like urinary blockage in a cat. This specific feedback suggests that while compassionate care is a strong point for some clients, other experiences highlight a need for consistent, clear, and empathetic communication about the severity of conditions and all available options, including euthanasia, especially when financial constraints are a factor. The positive experience with handling a difficult pet like Chloe for nail trims showcases a high level of patience and skill from their staff, acting like "a dog whisperer."

The clinic's online presence, including a Facebook page and associated website (e.g., countrysidechampionvet.com), would serve as crucial resources for up-to-date information, services offered, and potentially online appointment scheduling or patient forms. Dec 25, 2024 · - LightSwitch -The staff here are absolutely lovely. Very friendly and actually care about what's going on with not only your animal, but you. We come once a month for Jeters arthritis shot, they are acknowledging us as soon as we open the door to go in. They also cut our dog Chloes nails, which is hard to do because she for some reason has a fit when anyone goes near her one paw, but her pedicure tech is like a dog whisperer. In a nutshell, GREAT PLACE
May 04, 2025 · jennifer WisemanExcellent care and staff! I would rate them higher if I could. Highly recommended to anyone. My dog needed emergency surgery due to a blockage and they got us in and surgery started less than a hour after calling in! They explained everything so well and were so kind to my children and I after such a traumatic experience. Surgery went great and the after care as well. Prices were very reasonable compared to other quotes. They saved my dogs life, when others turned us away.
Nov 02, 2024 · Dana PersingVery friendly staff, took the time to explain answers to any questions we asked and didn't make me feel like I was being rushed out before I could address every concern we had with our pup.would highly recommend them
