We have been bringing our pets to Countryside Animal Hospital for so many years I can't remember exactly when. Over 15 years. All I know is that I was fortunate enough to find Dr Adams . She has been compassionate and empathetic to both the pets and our family especially during difficult times. She is the best veterinarian I have ever been to in the past 45 years of my life.

Welcome to Countryside Animal Hospital

Countryside Animal Hospital, located at 164 W State St, Granby, MA 01033, USA, is a well-established "Pet Hospital" that has served the local community for many years. Co-founded by Dr. Janet Edman and Dr. Samantha Adams, this facility is dedicated to providing comprehensive veterinary care for companion animals, aiming to foster long-lasting bonds with both pets and their human families. The hospital's mission centers on delivering compassionate care to help pets live long, happy, and healthy lives.

The environment at Countryside Animal Hospital is designed to be a full-service companion animal practice. While specific visual details of the interior are not extensively publicized, information suggests a modern and inviting hospital setting. The facility is equipped to handle various aspects of veterinary medicine, indicative of a professional and functional environment necessary for advanced animal care. The focus is on creating a space where pets can receive medical attention in a setting that prioritizes their comfort and safety. This includes an in-house laboratory for quick diagnostic results, digital radiography for detailed imaging, and dedicated areas for surgical procedures, all pointing to a well-maintained and technologically capable facility.

The range of services offered at Countryside Animal Hospital is extensive, covering both routine preventative care and more complex medical and surgical interventions. Key services include wellness care, which encompasses thorough examinations and vaccinations, essential for maintaining a pet's long-term health. They also provide parasite prevention and control, vital for protecting pets from common threats. Dental prophylaxis and oral surgery are available, addressing the often-overlooked but crucial aspect of pet dental health. For diagnostic needs, the hospital boasts in-house laboratory capabilities, allowing for prompt blood tests and other analyses, along with digital radiography (X-ray) and ultrasonography for detailed internal imaging. Surgical services are comprehensive, ranging from elective procedures like spaying and neutering to more involved operations such as mass removals, bladder surgery, and gastrointestinal surgery. The hospital even offers specialized surgery with a board-certified surgeon brought in specifically for complex cases, demonstrating a commitment to advanced care. All surgical patients undergo pre-operative blood work to ensure they can safely handle anesthesia, and receive tailored anesthetic protocols, IV catheters, IV fluids, and extensive vital sign monitoring for optimal safety during procedures.

A prominent feature of Countryside Animal Hospital, frequently highlighted in client testimonials, is the compassionate and empathetic approach of its veterinarians and staff. Dr. Samantha Adams, in particular, is lauded by long-term clients for her compassionate and empathetic nature towards both pets and their families, especially during difficult times. This level of personalized care and understanding contributes significantly to the hospital's reputation. The hospital strives for an individualized approach to the long-term care of each patient, ensuring that pet owners are well-informed to make the best healthcare choices for their animals. The collective expertise and dedication of the entire healthcare team are central to their commitment to excellent client service and patient care. However, it is also worth noting that some feedback indicates potential challenges for owners of larger dog breeds, with one review mentioning a perception of fear towards bigger animals leading to recommendations for sedation prior to visits. This suggests that while their compassion is generally high, specific protocols or approaches might vary depending on the animal's size or breed.

Regarding promotional information, Countryside Animal Hospital emphasizes its accessibility and commitment to forming lasting relationships. They can be reached via phone at (413) 467-1300. The consistency of their services, including wellness care, advanced diagnostics, and surgical capabilities, is a key part of their appeal. Their regular business hours typically extend from Monday to Friday, with varying evening availability, making it convenient for many pet owners to schedule appointments. They also offer flexible payment options like pet insurance, wellness plans, and treatment financing solutions such as CareCredit and Scratchpay, to help clients manage veterinary costs. The ongoing positive feedback from a significant portion of their clientele, particularly regarding the caring nature of the staff and the quality of medical attention, serves as a strong endorsement of their services. Their mission to provide comprehensive care in a supportive environment continues to attract and retain clients in the Granby area and beyond.

We have gone to this veterinarian for years but finally had to go elsewhere. We have a German shepherd who is very well behaved and likes people yet at this hospital they have us drug him before bringing him in for every trip because they are afraid of him even though he has never hurt anyone there. This hospital may be okay if you have a cat or small breed dog but I would suggest you try another vet if you have a larger breed because they are afraid of larger animals

The care and compassion they give our dog is nothing less than amazing. So grateful for the staff. Been here since they opened!

They have helped me take care of my dogs, cats and ferrets. All of the vets and techs, everyone is pleasant and easy to talk to. Compassionate, efficient and easily adaptable to my animals different temperaments. I’m never being “sold,” tests or anything that aren’t important. I love how they check up on us days, weeks after the appointment and even called the next day after I had to take one of my dogs all the way to Woburn (Animal Hospital) on a Sunday.

My cat needed an allergy shot which is always a hassle to get off these people. You have to call and play the game to possibly get the shot. They wanted to listen to my cat’s heart during the holidays for an extra 100$, (I’ve been going here for 5 years with this cat they know his condition) most of the staff is nice; the old hag that works at the desk, “possibly Linda” needs to watch her mouth though. (You know who you are) Can’t stand the way she talks down to me, my family and I have been going here our whole lives sad to see this place to go to hell and be profit driven. Thousands of dollars of testing and shots just for them to not care when the animal really needs it. I wish this business the best, the way these people are running it they won’t have a job for much longer. My cat is now suffering for another week until I bring him to south paw, wouldn’t dare give these “professionals” another dollar, you’ve turned into professional scammers. Whoever is reading this you’ve been warned. Hope south paw treats me with some respect unlike you folks. Only time you showed me respect is when I pulled my debit card out.
