Dec 08, 2024 · Brandon StokesI can't say enough how impressed I am with the care my cats received at their wellness visit. Dr. Brenda Long was compassionate and listened to my concerns completely. They have upfront pricing and i was able to plan carefully so I could prepare to bring the correct amount with me prior to the appointment. It should also be said that the vet techs are just as professional and knowledgeable in their positions. The icing on the cake was the polite thank you card I received after the appointment. Choose Country Vet for your pets!
Mar 08, 2025 · Kristen SewellTo Dr. George, other vets, and staff. I just wanted to thank all of you from the bottom of my heart for your care and compassion for our dear companion Moleigh. Our dear Moleigh started 2yrs ago from time to time to limp on her back leg. Our vet thought originally a soft tissue injury. It got better but about every 6mos she would limp on it again. We were referred to a local specialty clinic in our area that charged us a $135 to come in. The vet barely looked at her and said she needed TPLO surgery. Then wanted to schedule the invasive surgery the next day. I was not comfortable with this and started researching. A TPLO takes up to 6mos for recovery. I found Dr. George that does a MMP that only takes 2wks for recovery. I spoke to him several times on the phone and sent x-rays. Since, we were 3hrs away. Dr. George did not charge for this time. What a vet. In the business for the companion and not the money. As he said, his first thing is not cause harm. Most vets see the dollar signs. We scheduled an appt. Since, he did see an issue on the xray. We went in to see him and he stated he would do the MMP. We left Moleigh with him and received a call later that day stating he did not feel the need for the MMP. Once, Moleigh was completely sedated and relaxed he decided to do another exam and was able to do a better evaluation. Before just cutting her open. He even called in another vet to confirm his thoughts. He informed us that Moleigh has crooked back legs from birth, no other vet has ever informed us of this, and she probably sprains that leg and has caused some arthritis. He has removed her from all the medications. She walked away from it all with a shaved back leg. I can't give Dr. George and his team enough praise. Thank you again for not putting our loved companion thru unnecessary healing. She has been doing great since 01/30/24. Sincerely, Angel, Tom, and Moleigh
Feb 15, 2025 · Angel HortonWe recently had a pet that needed care. We had a good experience in the past here. They refused to see him. I told them if our furry child needed xrays etc I would need to work out a payment plan. I figured since we are local and they are our child's vet they would work with us. The lady said we require payment same day or care credit. Didn't even say bring him in and let us exam him .I assume they don't take pet insurance. We had exam fee and money for medicine. I was not even told how much extra the other tests would cost. I realize people have not paid their bills in the past. So they stopped in-house payment plans. However a vet should always offer basic care to get a pet out of pain. They could also do an arch debit plan for people. So I would advise this vet and all vets to put the animal before the money. It's not like every customer struggles. But when they do work with people. After all it hurts a person's credit if they fail to pay you. So have a heart country veterinary service. I personally would not ever turn away an animal in distress if I were a vet. You can start a program to help pay for costs. People could donate and get a discount etc. It's time all vet offices change their policies .
Jan 25, 2025 · Amy H.Updated 12/21/24: Have been with Country Veterinary for two years now. No complaints, all staff are always courteous and caring with our pet. Photo of Hazel anxiously waiting for the Dr. to come back. Past: We have really enjoyed the services at Country Veterinary in Burlington. The doctors are very knowledgeable, calm, and reasonable. All of the initial appointments from the technicians to the doctors were professional and warm to our puppy. Most recently she was spayed and surgery went very well. Just 3 days later and she is wanting to do her normal routine which of course we have to hold her back from while she heals.
