My service dog ended up getting a bone destroying tumor that began growing very suddenly and rapidly in her toe. After a number of vets ran me around in circles and not helping me figure out what was wrong, I contacted Dr. Miller and we discussed what she was experiencing. When I explained the weird look of one of her nails on the afflicted toe, he had me bring her in to investigate. He let me stay in the back with her the entire time. She was lightly sedated and the nail cut near the base (he prewarned me in case I wanted to step out that it could bleed, but I chose to stay). The inside of the nail was rotted, which hinted at a bigger issue. A scan revealed a mass in her toe and the plan was to remove the last joint of her toe where the mass was - more if needed. I dropped her off for surgery and went home. He contacted me a bit later to let me know they would likely need to take off the entire toe for safety. When I didn't respond right away, he messaged again to ensure I was alright (emotionally, not just with the plan given she is my Service Dog and I was highly stressed). He cared about both my Service Dog and me. He went above and beyond even after the surgery. During her recovery, she managed to rip out her stitches. I texted him around 10:30 at night about it, worried because it had only been a few days since the surgery. After sending him photos, he went to the clinic, grabbed the items needed and drove to my house around 11pm to staple the wound closed. Dr. Miller is the only vet I trust with my Service Dog and he's always happy to see her. She loves to see him as well and it makes our veterinary experiences far less stressful. We have affectionately nicknamed him 'Dr. Toe Taker'. I've attached a photo he sent me when she came out of sedation to show me she was okay after her sedation. Highly recommended.

Mar 24, 2025 · UndeadEyesWe transferred to this vet after having a really negative experience with a different veterinarian. The person I talked to for scheduling and getting all the records switched over (we have six cats, and also foster) was so kind. She took the time to empathize with me, and understand the concerns I had, and then scheduled me with the owner initially to help me feel more comfortable. He was wonderful, and is a very kind, conscientious person. You can tell he’s thoughtfully built his practice, because we have been with them for over a year now and seen other vets and met quite a few of the techs, as well as the people who work at the desk, and every single one has been truly wonderful. Our pets have had exemplary care here for regular checkups, urgent visits, and behavioral consultations. Twice we’ve had an urgent concern and they were able to talk to me right away, and in both cases able to see us that day (I know this can’t always be true, but we appreciated it) and I knew they heard my concern and took it seriously, along with our pet’s wellbeing. They remember our cats when they come in and are so sweet to them. They honestly delight in the animals they care for - I’m not sure what more you could ask for! I’m so thankful to have found them.
Jan 03, 2025 · Jordan B. C.I have been suggesting this Vet facility to all my friends and neighbors throughout the years. I have used their services on my two previous dogs (for the past 16 yrs). Despite ownership changes, the service is still the same. While waiting for my appointment, I hear & see how the staff treats other pet owners and it’s always kind and professional. I personally use Dr Miller now. Their fees are very reasonable comparing to what I heard other vets charge these days. Highly recommend.
Apr 06, 2025 · Ali FarhangA friend of mine took their dog there for an emergency trauma. They failed to do diagnostics right away, instead assessed the dog wrong and left it lying in the hospital for hours dying before they performed a surgical procedure under anesthesia which basically compromised the dog even worse, and would not have repaired the real injury that was much worse and was killing the dog. They then had the owner pick up and transfer to an emergency clinic as the dog was dying. The emergency clinic said, it's too late, the dog is suffering now and they euthanized her. She never regained consciousness. So the family never got to say goodbye. Why was an inexperienced vet and staff allowed to assess a critical patient with a very dangerous trauma? They should have sent them to a critical care emergency clinic immediately after the examination. This is inexcusable! This dog was 7 years old and a beloved family member, they are devastated! They then were presented with a huge invoice and have been hounded to pay! Horrible!
Mar 22, 2025 · Gina MccaughranI have taken my dog, Luna, to Cottage Lake Veterinary Hospital for an exam and vaccines with Dr. Yang and a separate tech visit for a vaccine with Jada. We adopted Luna about 2 months ago and she can be very anxious around unfamiliar people. Both Dr. Yang and Jada were incredibly understanding and supportive, they truly took the time to make the vet as pleasant and comfortable as possible for Luna and for me. It was clear that they both have a deep understanding of dog behavior and a clear passion for providing fear free, enjoyable vet experiences for everyone! Thank you so, so very much!
