My English bulldog swallowed two reusable silicone water balloons containing magnets. I was so worried about our dog that we took him to the Corona Animal Emergency Center. They got him in right away and performed an endoscopic procedure to attempt to get the balloons out unfortunately it failed and he ended up having abdominal surgery to retrieve the balloons, but the staff was so informative and helpful throughout the process! We got our dog back the day after surgery and he is healing so well! They took such great care of him and I will definitely go to the center if there’s ever an emergency again thank you Corona Animal Emergency Center for caring for my dog and making sure he was safe!

While specific details about the center's interior aesthetics are not explicitly mentioned in the provided information, the focus on immediate care and the positive experiences shared by customers suggest an environment designed for efficiency and comfort during stressful times. Emergency animal hospitals prioritize functionality to ensure swift assessment and treatment. The presence of necessary medical equipment for handling emergencies is a key characteristic of such a facility. Comprehensive Range of Emergency Veterinary Services
As an emergency-focused Pet Hospital, Corona Animal Emergency Center offers a wide array of services to address critical health situations in pets. Based on the customer reviews, we can infer several key service areas:
- Emergency Medical Care: This is the core function, providing immediate attention and treatment for pets facing sudden illnesses, injuries, or accidents. The case of the English bulldog who swallowed foreign objects clearly demonstrates their capacity to handle complex and potentially life-threatening situations.
- Diagnostics: Prompt and accurate diagnosis is crucial in emergencies. The mention of an "endoscopic procedure" and subsequent "abdominal surgery" indicates the availability of advanced diagnostic tools and the expertise to interpret results quickly to guide treatment.
- Surgical Services: When surgical intervention is necessary, as in the case of foreign body removal, the center is equipped to perform emergency surgeries. The positive outcome reported by the customer highlights the surgical team's competence.
- Anesthesia and Monitoring: Procedures like stitching often require anesthesia. The review mentioning their dog being "put under" and the staff keeping the owners informed suggests a focus on safe anesthesia administration and careful monitoring of patients during and after procedures.
- Post-operative Care: The fact that the bulldog was able to go home the day after major abdominal surgery and is "healing so well" speaks to the quality of their post-operative care and the instructions provided to pet owners for at-home recovery.
- Stitching and Wound Care: For injuries involving lacerations or wounds requiring sutures, the center provides timely and effective care to prevent infection and promote healing.
- Referral Services: In situations where a pet is stable but requires specialized care not offered at the emergency center, they may provide referrals to other veterinary specialists or facilities, as indicated by the reviewer who was initially referred elsewhere.

Apr 08, 2025 · Mariah OroscoSo nice and caring. Our dog needed stitches and had to be put under. They let is know what was going on and kept us posted. Took great care of our puppy. We were referred to 2 other emergency animal hospitals after our local emergency hospital was really backed up and our dog was stable. We really liked it here and although it's a 45 minute drive from our house, we wouldn't hesitate to go back here if needed and our puppy is stable. Since we had to wait and didn't want to drive all the way home, Corona had things near by to do and we don't just have to wait in the car. They took really good care and the Dr was very clear in what was needed to be done.
May 15, 2025 · Brenda MillerThe team at Corona Animal Emergency Center took wonderful care of our 11 year old shih tzu when we had to have her admitted when she wasn’t eating. They welcomed and encouraged us to visit her, setting us up in our own room to be able to spend time with her. The doctor would call daily to update us on how her night/early morning had gone. All the staff we dealt with were warm and friendly and took great care of our pup. We were able to walk her while we were there and they took care that she’d have things like a blanket and/or bed in the room when we were visiting.
Dec 01, 2024 · Deb Palmer-DistanteBe extremely cautious with this hospital. I had a very disappointing experience. They do not explain wait times at all — we arrived at 7am, stayed until 9am with no real update, then were told to go home. Around noon, they called us back, only to make us wait again until 7pm, and it still wasn’t over. There was no proper communication about scheduling or what to expect. They could’ve easily told us a realistic time window so we didn’t waste the whole day sitting and waiting. Also, watch out for unnecessary charges. They recommended a long list of medications without clearly explaining which ones were actually needed. If I hadn’t questioned it, I could’ve easily spent hundreds on treatments that might not be necessary. I do not feel they had the pet owner’s best interest in mind — only the bill.
May 05, 2025 · Song WangMy dog was treated with respect and kindness, just like I was. The information I got after the checkup was thorough, and I was given a recommendation for a neurology center that I took my dog to the same day I left your office. I appreciated the upfront information you provided. The staff was very friendly while I waited. We're grateful for your help and treatment, as well as the recommendation to Brightcare Neurology Animal Hospital. Thank you for being so kind. The kindness and upfront information that was provided to me and the recommendation to a very great neurology animal hospital.
