My cat was missing for 6 weeks when the shelter called me at 4p that someone dropped him off and his back legs were not moving. I stopped into Cornerstone on my 30 min drive to our vet at Wildflower Animal Hospital in Driftwood to see if there might be an appt to check him since he was not moving or eating really and I figured time was of the essence. The vet told me she could not tell if he was in pain or advice me on what to do. 3 different people rattled a long list of diagnostics needed, blood work and x-rays before committing to a plan. They also charged me a walk in fee + plus exam fee. I asked what she would do if it was her cat and she said " I don't know. I could not tell you." I left after paying $132 for "I don't know" to drive the 30 min to our vet. In less than 2 minutes he concluded he was already dying and was definitely hit by a car and the quality of life question was not a question at this point. Separate yet annoying enough to mention - Cornerstone was emailing me check ups due while Atlas was missing which stung since they knew he was missing and did not notate the account when it was set up. Right. It cost $260 for my visit at Wildflower which include cremation and a pretty box and paw print. Seriously - charging a walk in fee on top of exam for a dying pet is pretty gross. my 2 cents or in this case $131.79 cents. Another vet near the shelter charges $195 for emergency visits when I went last night after picking him up from the shelter.

I have taken my dogs to Cornerstone over four years now and the staff and doctors have been wonderful. My labrador was diagnosed with cancerous tumors and the experienced doctors made sure to remove all the malignant tissue. My girl has been cancer free three years. The clinic is well equipped and managed. The staff is responsive and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Cornerstone Animal Hospital in Buda.

My Jack Russell Chloe was lethargic, not eating for 2 days and panting like she had been running. I called Cornerstone and they were able to get me in for a same day appointment. Dr. Wilkinson and her technician were great. They did some bloodwork and kept Chloe at the facility to collect urine for a urinalysis. Chloe is now on antibiotics for a UTI and she is doing great.
