Welcome to Cornerstone Animal Hospital
Cornerstone Animal Hospital, situated at 2295 E Zion Rd, Fayetteville, AR 72703, USA, operates as a dedicated "Pet Hospital" serving the veterinary needs of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and the surrounding communities. This facility provides a comprehensive range of services and goods designed to ensure the health and longevity of companion animals, primarily dogs and cats. While the hospital aims to offer high-quality care, recent customer feedback highlights the importance of consistency in the veterinary team and the individualized needs of each pet.
The environment at Cornerstone Animal Hospital, as conveyed by client reviews, is generally characterized by the presence of a compassionate and understanding core team. Dr. Turner, in particular, is frequently praised as "the best, most understanding, and compassionate vet" by long-term clients. This indicates a focus on empathy and strong patient-client relationships, which are critical in veterinary care. While the physical layout and specific amenities of the hospital are not detailed in the provided information, a typical modern pet hospital environment would include:
- A welcoming reception area designed to minimize stress for pets and owners.
- Multiple examination rooms for private consultations.
- Diagnostic areas equipped with technology like X-ray machines and ultrasound.
- A surgical suite for various procedures.
- An in-house laboratory for quick bloodwork and other tests.
- A pharmacy for dispensing medications.
- Separate kennels or recovery areas for different sizes of animals.
The emphasis on the staff's care, responsiveness, and communication, particularly from established members like Dr. Turner, suggests an environment where pet owners feel heard and their concerns are addressed. However, the recent review also indicates that the quality of care can vary with individual veterinarians within the practice, underscoring the importance of continuity and careful management of new staff to maintain the established high standards.
Cornerstone Animal Hospital provides a wide array of veterinary services essential for the well-being of dogs and cats. These services are typically categorized under general practice veterinary medicine, aiming to cover the full spectrum of pet health needs throughout their lives. Based on common offerings for a "Pet Hospital" and insights from customer reviews, the services likely include:
- Routine Wellness Exams: Regular check-ups are crucial for preventive care, allowing veterinarians to detect potential health issues early and maintain overall pet health.
- Vaccinations: Essential immunizations to protect pets from common infectious diseases, tailored to the pet's lifestyle and local risks.
- Diagnostic Services: This would encompass in-house laboratory testing (such as bloodwork, urinalysis, fecal exams) for rapid results, and potentially diagnostic imaging (X-rays) to aid in diagnosing various conditions, such as urinary tract infections or bladder issues, as hinted in the customer review.
- Internal Medicine: Diagnosis and management of various non-surgical illnesses affecting different organ systems.
- General Surgery: Common surgical procedures, which typically include spays, neuters, and other soft tissue surgeries.
- Dental Care: Comprehensive dental services to maintain oral hygiene, prevent periodontal disease, and address dental issues.
- Pain Management: Strategies to alleviate pain, whether acute (e.g., post-surgery) or chronic (e.g., arthritis), ensuring the pet's comfort and quality of life. The effectiveness and appropriateness of pain medication protocols, as highlighted in a review concerning "Zorbium," are critical aspects of this service.
- Parasite Control: Prevention and treatment of both internal (e.g., worms) and external (e.g., fleas, ticks) parasites.
- Senior Pet Care: Tailored care plans for older pets, addressing age-related health challenges and promoting comfortable aging, as demonstrated by the care for an "18 yr old Chihuahua Mia."
- Nutritional Counseling: Guidance on appropriate diets for pets at different life stages and with specific health conditions.
The features that define Cornerstone Animal Hospital are largely centered around the qualities of its lead veterinarian and the established level of care.
- Dr. Turner's Expertise and Compassion: Multiple reviews emphasize Dr. Turner's exceptional qualities, describing him as "amazing," "understanding," and "compassionate." This personal connection and high level of trust he inspires are significant features. Clients have used him for "years" without dissatisfaction, indicating consistent, high-quality care under his direct supervision.
- Experienced Staff: The general positive sentiment towards the staff, particularly in established relationships, suggests a team that is caring and attentive to pet needs.
- Commitment to Long-Term Patient Relationships: The clinic's history with long-term patients like Mia, the 18-year-old Chihuahua, and the cat Luna, who was a patient for "years," indicates a practice that builds lasting relationships and provides care through all life stages.
- Focus on Individualized Care (with caveats): While the positive reviews highlight personalized attention, the negative feedback regarding the new vet underscores the importance of consistent, individualized treatment protocols. The concern about a potent opioid given without sufficient supervision or consideration for the pet's reaction points to the critical need for careful assessment and communication when prescribing powerful medications.
- Addressing Sensitive Situations: The ability to provide empathetic care, particularly for senior pets facing health challenges, is a key feature.
Regarding promotional information, Cornerstone Animal Hospital's strongest promotion comes from the positive word-of-mouth and established reputation of Dr. Turner. For a local "Pet Hospital," personal recommendations and long-standing client satisfaction are invaluable. The fact that a client "never was ever dissatisfied or unhappy with Cornerstone Animal Hospital before this" (referring to an incident with a new vet) speaks volumes about the clinic's historical standard of care under Dr. Turner's leadership.
While specific advertising campaigns or discount offers are not detailed in the provided information, the clinic's accessibility via phone at (479) 443-0738 and its physical address in Fayetteville are fundamental promotional elements, ensuring potential clients can easily contact them. Online presence, through their website and possibly social media, would also serve to inform prospective clients about their services, team, and philosophy. Any promotional efforts would likely emphasize Dr. Turner's compassionate approach and the comprehensive nature of their services. However, it is crucial for such an establishment to address any public concerns regarding consistency of care or specific medication protocols to maintain the strong trust built over years, as highlighted by recent client feedback. Proactively showcasing their protocols for medication administration and staff training could be a future promotional strategy to reassure clients.
In conclusion, Cornerstone Animal Hospital in Fayetteville, AR, functions as a vital "Pet Hospital," offering a wide range of veterinary services for dogs and cats. Its environment is strongly influenced by the compassionate and understanding nature of Dr. Turner and his experienced staff. The clinic's core features include comprehensive wellness and diagnostic services, surgical capabilities, and a deep commitment to long-term patient relationships and senior pet care. While a recent customer review points to the importance of consistency across all veterinarians in the practice, the enduring positive reputation of Dr. Turner and the hospital's established commitment to patient well-being remain its strongest promotional assets in the community.

Dr.Turner is the best most understanding and compassionate vet we ever met. Him and his staff are just the best and took well care for our 18 yr old Chihuahua Mia 🙏
Feb 20, 2025 · Veronica BaltazarDr. Turner is a amazing vet. But I'm not a fan of his new vet he hired. My cat Luna went in for what I believed to be some kind of uti or bladder infection. Luna was eating, drinking, and playful before I took her in. Luna was in a little pain, but nothing serious! The other vet put Luna on Zorbium. She had a bad reaction to it. From her symptoms I was told by another vet she had opioid poisoning. She didn't sleep, eat, and she was hallucinating and very scared. Her eyes were also dilated. For 3 whole days Luna had these symptoms. I believe Dr. Turner wouldn't have given Luna the Zorbium Topical opioid drug. But his other vet did. She just said that Luna was high as a kite when I told her about Luna's reaction on the drug. Which I believe Luna was Trippin not just high! More like schrooms or a acid trip. Unfortunately, since I'm not happy with the other vet. I will be finding a new vet. I have been using Dr. Turner for years. I never was ever dissatisfied or unhappy with Cornerstone Animal Hospital before this. Nothing against the wonderful and caring Dr. Turner. If he was the one who saw Luna that day, I would be giving a five star review. Zorbium is a dangerous opioid and shouldn't be given to just any cat or dog unless under vet supervision.
Mar 31, 2025 · Heidi “TexasGal” KnaufI had just moved. My cat Maddie wasn't acting out of character. I called Cornerstone, I had no appointment. I dropped her off so Dr. Turner could work her in his schedule. I didn't even make it back home and Dr. Turner called. Her condition was not good. He was gently straight forward with me. I had to make the difficult decision to put her down. I can't express how hard this was. I had her 16 years. The staff was amazing, and so compassionate. Dr. Turner is the best. I choose to have her cremated. She came back to me in a beautiful ornate wooden box with her name engraved. The whole experience was a Blessing considering I and Maddie were in good hands. I highly recommend Cornerstone. I will taking future pets there.
May 04, 2025 · Kim AdamsonDr. Marty Turner is truly a godsend for animals. He is an exceptionally sweet person and stands out from any other doctor. He genuinely cares; despite my parents speaking hardly any English, he listened and tried to understand them. He saved us a lot of money by only doing what was necessary for our dog, and he even called me personally to explain what was happening. He also referred us to other specialists to ensure our dog received the best care possible. He and his staff are truly wonderful and go above and beyond. I'm glad we met him here; it’s truly a blessing for everyone around. God bless this place. Thank you for everything Dr Turner and everyone there!!
Aug 02, 2024 · Reiner WBest vet hands down. Marty is top shelf. The number of times he has spent time with me on the phone and makes sure all of your questions are answered is quite a lot. Your animal is truly important to him.
