I write this with a potentially heavy heart. Brought my dog Piper in on Wednesday as she was going downhill fast. The vet has and still is doing all she can for her. We have gotten multiple updates throughout the days, they have taken the time to get her into a room every time I visit, the vet came in on her off day just to work with Piper. On the phone today I suspect I wasn’t the only one holding back tears with the decisions that may be before us. But with all that said, if there is any chance of her pulling through, it will be due to the team efforts here. I can’t thank the staff enough but am sure I will fall short. But I will be bringing all my Danes here in the future.

I took my cat in because she was appearing to be very sick and waited forever to be seen all the while she got sicker and I’m not poor but I’m also not rich so I was on a budget, needless to say that budget got ripped to shreds I was told my cat had kidney failure and I knew what that meant due to I have medical field knowledge I felt that because I was on a budget I was told to euthanize my cat because she would suffer which of course traumatized me and I had a panic attack right there in front of them so Dr. Burnette told me they could hospitalize her and try to get her kidneys back but of course it was no guarantee and she gave me a price quote of 1770.00 plus a few bucks for a 3 day stay of care. I of course wanted to save her if I could so I went in debt to do so and let them take her in the ICU for the weekend. I was told I could visit her over her stay there and I did but I felt like it was an inconvenience to them and I had texted to find out info on her because I was so worried that first night and no one replied back. Dr. Burnette called and gave me an update everyday and my cat was improving everyday and she fully recovered by day 3 and I was able to bring her home. So I have mixed reviews because some was good and some was bad. I feel like if I was not able to go into debt that I would have had no choice but to euthanize her and mind you she made a full recovery. That was very traumatizing as my cat is like my child and I wanted her to be ok. Some of the staff was nice and some not so much but that’s everywhere you go today! But I am very grateful to Dr. Burnette for saving my cats life so to me that overrides any of the bad experiences I might have had. In the end the only thing that mattered was Celeste coming home and she did! They also did a check up call after she got home the next day and addressed my concern with her food order immediately.

We brought our sick dog to the Emergency Hospital on a Saturday afternoon. The staff, including Dr. Gibson were skillful and compassionate about our situation. We left our dog overnight and Dr. Gibson kept us posted on his progress. Our dog did not survive but we couldn't be more appreciative of the effort the staff exhibited. This was the first time we visited and when needed we will return.

I recently moved out of state. When Tucker injured his leg, I was pretty sure it was the same injury as the previous summer. When the local vet couldn’t do the surgery for 6 weeks and they preferred to do the more expensive “gold standard” surgery, I called Copeland to see if they would be able to do the same surgery they had done the previous summer as I was going to be nearby the following week. Dr Baker was happy to accommodate me and get Tucker taken care of. We are back home in NC now and Tucker is doing great. I am extremely grateful for the team at Copeland. They have seen Tucker several times the last couple years and have always provided the very best care.

After Ella disappeared for a week, we visited Copleand Vet because she developed a cold. We visited on a Saturday and we were the second one in the door. After 2 hours, she had a clean bill of health, her shots, and meds for her cold. The staff was very caring and thorough. She loved the view while she waited. Her brother Cooper (dog) had to be rushed there Tuesday because he got into an argument with our other dog. He ended up needing surgery. They explained everything and kept us in the loop. The drive sucks because we live about an hour away but happy to have a great emergency vet that is caring. Thanks guys, for everything and for taking great care of my babies.
