Super friendly and one of the affordable places to go. B Vet was super nice and informative Everyone is very friendly on both sides Our dog is moody but liked the vet That's saying something for him He had a tough surgery and they were great with him. My only complaint would be that they gave him meds in his butt which later made him bleed and was very alarming costing in a unnecessary urgent care visit that we did not need or could afford When I called should have been it Brought up about the meds could cause bleeding especially if there's no other symptoms occurring The urgent care that was suggested by them said as much So if your dog gets meds in their butt bleeding can occur I couldn't read the hand wr8to tell what the medicines name is And that urgent care place I would never return to based on the waste they tried to get us to do anyways at $600 after saying it was normal, it already cost $300 And never witnessed the vet touching our dog It's included in this review bc the person on the phone seemed uneducated about it and sent me to the place Even though that happened I would come back here just might do research and call around before listening to all advice at face value The reception isn't a vet and I wish I would of considered that instead of my emotions about my buddy Sundays are not good days to call just a heads up Considered all symptoms and things before emotions cloud judgement The dog food pictured is the best I've tried for older dogs with hip dysplasia

Compassion 4 Paws Veterinary Healing Center Introduce

Welcome to Compassion 4 Paws Veterinary Healing Center, located at 10444 W Grand River Hwy, Grand Ledge, MI 48837, USA. Operating under the platform category of Pet Hospital, Compassion 4 Paws aims to provide caring and comprehensive veterinary services to the Grand Ledge community and surrounding areas. Based on customer reviews, the clinic is known for its friendly staff, affordability, and the informative nature of its veterinarians. They appear to offer a range of services, catering to both routine and emergency needs, striving to be a reliable partner in your pet's health and well-being.

According to customer feedback, a significant feature of Compassion 4 Paws Veterinary Healing Center is the friendliness of their staff. Multiple reviewers mention the welcoming and approachable nature of everyone they interacted with, on both the veterinary and administrative sides. This positive and supportive atmosphere can greatly ease the stress often associated with bringing a pet to the vet. Additionally, the clinic is noted as being one of the more affordable options in the area, which is a crucial consideration for many pet owners seeking quality care without breaking the bank.

The veterinarians at Compassion 4 Paws are described as "super nice and informative," indicating a commitment to not only treating pets but also to educating owners about their pet's health and treatment plans. This open communication and willingness to explain things thoroughly can help pet owners feel more involved and confident in the care their animals are receiving. Even pets who are typically moody, as one reviewer noted about their dog, seem to respond positively to the veterinarians at this clinic, suggesting a gentle and understanding approach to animal handling.

In terms of services, Compassion 4 Paws appears to offer a range of medical and surgical care. One reviewer mentioned their dog had a "tough surgery" at the clinic and that the staff was "great" with him throughout the process. This indicates that they are equipped to handle more complex medical needs beyond routine check-ups and vaccinations. Another reviewer sought care for their dog experiencing pain and was able to get a quick appointment on short notice, highlighting their responsiveness to urgent situations. They also explicitly recommend the clinic for both "pet emergencies" and "preventive care," suggesting a broad scope of services.

The clinic also seems to address preventative health needs, as one reviewer mentioned the dog food pictured in their review as being the best they've tried for older dogs with hip dysplasia. While this is a specific product recommendation rather than a direct clinic service, it suggests that the staff may offer guidance on nutritional needs and potentially carry or recommend specific pet food brands. This holistic approach to pet well-being, considering both medical treatment and supportive care like diet, can be beneficial for pet owners.

However, one detailed review raises a significant concern regarding the administration of medication and the subsequent communication. The reviewer describes their dog receiving medication via injection in the buttock, which allegedly led to bleeding and an unexpected, costly urgent care visit. The reviewer felt that they should have been informed about this potential side effect, especially if no other symptoms were occurring. This incident underscores the importance of thorough communication regarding potential side effects of treatments and the need for clear and accurate information from all staff members, including those answering phones.

Despite this negative experience, the reviewer indicated a willingness to return to Compassion 4 Paws, suggesting that the positive aspects of the clinic, such as the friendly and informative vet and the affordability, outweigh this particular issue. However, they also wisely advise other pet owners to do their own research and seek second opinions before taking all advice at face value, especially when it comes from non-veterinary staff. This highlights the importance of pet owners being proactive in understanding their pet's care.

The same detailed review also provided a "heads up" that Sundays might not be the best days to call, implying potential limitations in staffing or responsiveness on that day. This practical tip can be valuable for local users planning to contact the clinic.

In conclusion, Compassion 4 Paws Veterinary Healing Center in Grand Ledge, MI, appears to be a pet hospital that offers friendly, informative, and affordable veterinary care, including both emergency and preventative services, as well as surgical capabilities. The positive feedback regarding the staff and veterinarians suggests a caring and competent team. However, the detailed account of a medication administration issue and the subsequent lack of clear communication serves as a reminder for pet owners to be proactive in seeking information and understanding all aspects of their pet's treatment. Despite this concern, the reviewer's willingness to return indicates an overall positive impression of the clinic. Local users seeking a friendly and affordable pet hospital in the Grand Ledge area should consider Compassion 4 Paws, while also ensuring they maintain open communication with the veterinary team about all aspects of their pet's care.

Our Sammy was not feeling well wincing in pain through the night for 2 days. Our normal vet was closed after hearing about this place from friends on short notice we were able to be seen quickly and now resting. Good staff, and clean facilities. Would highly recommend for any pet emergencies or Preventive care.

The vet was very professional and fast getting our little baby checked out and it was very affordable. Making this our regular vet!

We unfortunately had to go through the end of life process for our 15 year-old beloved family pet. Our vet was closed at the time and they took us quickly (he was declining fast) and were so kind, explained everything. They definitely lived up to their name. I don't wish this process on anyone but they are trustworthy to help you if you need them.

Dr. Mary and staff are always friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They go above and beyond to ensure my pets get the care they need, and their late hours are incredible for the working family.
