Dr. Klatt took great cat of my cat Stan during some challenging times. She took the time to listen to his history, did an exam and then offered many options for his care and steps to further a diagnosis. She was able to run many tests without having to bring him to a clinic, which was a huge stress relief. Her professionalism and caring were greatly appreciated! I would highly recommend her!

Welcome to Companion Animal Veterinary Services, Inc.

For pet owners in Winston-Salem, NC, and the surrounding areas, **Companion Animal Veterinary Services, Inc.** offers a distinctive and highly valuable approach to veterinary care. Unlike traditional brick-and-mortar "Pet Hospitals," Companion Animal Veterinary Services, Inc. operates primarily as a mobile veterinary service, bringing professional and compassionate care directly to your home. This unique model, spearheaded by veterinarians like **Dr. Klatt**, is designed to provide a stress-free and convenient experience for both pets and their owners. You can reach them by phone at (336) 784-1122 or via mobile at +1 336-784-1122. Their listed address, 2535 Union Cross Rd, Winston-Salem, NC 27107, likely serves as a base of operations or administrative office, while the core service delivery occurs at the client's residence.

The "environment" of Companion Animal Veterinary Services, Inc. is, by design, your own home. This is a significant feature that directly addresses one of the biggest challenges in pet care: the stress and anxiety associated with traditional clinic visits. For many animals, especially cats or those with mobility issues, a trip in a carrier, a car ride, and exposure to unfamiliar sights, sounds, and smells of a clinic can be incredibly frightening. By bringing the veterinary services to the familiar and comfortable environment of a pet's home, Dr. Klatt and her team minimize fear and anxiety, leading to a much calmer experience for the animal. This also allows for more relaxed and accurate examinations, as pets are in their natural setting. The convenience for owners, eliminating travel and waiting room times, is an added benefit that significantly enhances the overall experience.

As a specialized "Pet Hospital" in a mobile format, Companion Animal Veterinary Services, Inc. offers a comprehensive range of services, primarily focused on preventive, diagnostic, and palliative care that can be effectively delivered in a home setting. Their services often include:

  • Wellness and Preventive Care: This is a core offering, including thorough physical examinations, tailored vaccination protocols (e.g., rabies, distemper for dogs and cats), parasite screening and prevention (flea, tick, heartworm), and nutritional counseling. Regular check-ups in a familiar environment can lead to earlier detection of health issues.

  • In-Home Diagnostics: As highlighted in customer reviews, Dr. Klatt has the capability to run "many tests without having to bring him to a clinic." This implies the ability to perform basic bloodwork, urinalysis, and potentially other diagnostic sample collections on-site, with samples then sent to an external lab for analysis. This minimizes the need for clinic visits for diagnostics.

  • Minor Medical Treatments: Diagnosis and treatment of common illnesses, skin conditions, ear infections, and other non-emergency medical issues that can be managed in the home.

  • Geriatric and Palliative Care: Providing specialized care for senior pets, addressing age-related conditions, pain management, and offering compassionate end-of-life care, including in-home euthanasia, which can be a profoundly comforting option for grieving pet owners and their animals.

  • Behavioral Consultations: Addressing common behavioral problems in the pet's natural environment can often yield more insightful observations and effective solutions.

  • Microchipping: Essential for pet identification and recovery in case of loss, often performed during a routine house call.

  • Prescription Medications: Prescribing and sometimes dispensing necessary medications during the visit or coordinating with a pharmacy.

The key features that make Companion Animal Veterinary Services, Inc. stand out are the compassionate approach of Dr. Klatt and the unparalleled convenience and stress reduction offered by house calls. As one client gratefully noted, "Dr. Klatt took great care of my cat Stan during some challenging times. She took the time to listen to his history, did an exam and then offered many options for his care and steps to further a diagnosis. She was able to run many tests without having to bring him to a clinic, which was a huge stress relief. Her professionalism and caring were greatly appreciated!" This speaks volumes about her thoroughness, empathy, and ability to manage complex cases effectively in a home setting. Another review from Charlie and Cathryn, owners of a "very nervous kitty," perfectly illustrates the core benefit: "That’s when I decided to search for a mobile vet and found Dr. Klatt. We’re so grateful we did! ... Her calm and gentle demeanor made all the difference—he didn’t even try to escape. The visit went smoothly, and she was able to give him his vaccinations without so much as a flinch." This highlights the transformative impact of a mobile vet for anxious pets, turning what would typically be a traumatic event into a calm and successful experience. Dr. Klatt's "magic" and gentle demeanor are consistently praised, making her highly recommended for even the most challenging feline patients.

Regarding promotional information, while specific discount flyers are not typically found for mobile veterinary services, the inherent value proposition of Companion Animal Veterinary Services, Inc. lies in its unique delivery model. The stress reduction for pets and convenience for owners often justify the service fee, which might be slightly higher than a traditional clinic's basic exam fee but offsets travel time, gas, and the emotional toll on a pet. They would promote the benefits of stress-free veterinary care, especially for nervous or elderly pets, multi-pet households, and owners with mobility issues. They likely accept various payment methods, potentially including pet insurance, and would be transparent about their pricing structure for house calls versus in-clinic services. Emphasis would be placed on their personalized approach and the ability to spend more time with each patient in their familiar environment. While not a "discount," the enhanced quality of life for pets and the unparalleled convenience for owners are strong selling points that serve as promotional benefits for this type of specialized "Pet Hospital" service.

In conclusion, Companion Animal Veterinary Services, Inc. in Winston-Salem, NC, led by the compassionate and skilled Dr. Klatt, provides an invaluable mobile "Pet Hospital" service. Their model fundamentally changes the veterinary experience by bringing high-quality, comprehensive care directly to the comfort of your home. This significantly reduces stress for pets, ensures more accurate observations, and offers unparalleled convenience for owners. With a focus on preventive care, in-home diagnostics, and a gentle approach even for nervous animals, Companion Animal Veterinary Services, Inc. is an exceptional choice for those seeking personalized and truly stress-free veterinary attention for their beloved animal companions.

We have a very nervous kitty, and we couldn’t imagine how we’d ever get him into a carrier for a trip to the vet. That’s when I decided to search for a mobile vet and found Dr. Klatt. We’re so grateful we did! Following her instructions, we kept our kitty in the bathroom (fewer places to run and hide), and Dr. Klatt worked her magic. Her calm and gentle demeanor made all the difference—he didn’t even try to escape. The visit went smoothly, and she was able to give him his vaccinations without so much as a flinch. We’re thrilled to have found her and highly recommend her services. Charlie and Cathryn

I contacted Teresa Klatt after spending hours waiting at a local Kernersville Veterinary office to get my 2 cat's nails trimmed. One of my cats did not like the environment and for some reason was suddenly traumatized when they took him in. I realized this was not only not good for my pets but consumed my time for hours waiting on a 10 minute nail trim, but I was too chicken to do it myself, Lol A friend recommended Dr. Klatt. Dr. Klatt set up an appointment for the next week and calmly clipped both my cats nails in no time. She has taken over all of their care and we couldn't be happier. I recently got a new puppy and of course, I called Dr. Klatt. An appointment was set and Dr. Klatt arrived. My furr babies now have a family doctor that I trust to give them the care they deserve all in the comfort of their home. If you have a pet that is anxious or you just don't like waiting hours in the office or your car, give Dr. Klatt a call, my babies love her and no more anxiety!
