Companion Animal Hospital River North

My dog and I had a wonderful experience here. All of the staff members were friendly and accommodating. Dr. Bryant was fabulous, she made both my dog and I feel comfortable. She explained the treatment plan in depth and answered all of my questions with patience. Great team, 10/10 recommend!

Just a horrible experience with Companion River North. Companion River North was our VET & Daycare for 4 years prior to this. We have purchased Prepaid Passes for Daycare for our pet - dog. While we always felt overcharged on vaccines, vaccine schedule, obligatory fecal samples every few months for the daycare. We were stuck with the convenience of it being close to work in River North, so we overlooked this... As we have purchased passes in the past, there was no expiration date to these daycare passes. If there was an expiration date we would have not Pre Paid for these passes. In June, 2024 – 5 months after we purchased the passes, we were notified ALL our passes will expire in 60 days. We are not sure why or how? We reached out to Companion RN management immediately. However, they did not care at all as they are canceling 18 passes for Day Care. Well this is a $660 damage - ripoff to us! You should not arbitrarily make up conditions on your clients. We expressed our frustration, numerous emails and calls. They do not care! PE... I do not recommend Companion Animal Hospital River North.

Any time you have to google to find a new place to do business it may feel like you are taking a blind leap. If you are in search of a new veterinarian please do not hesitate to reach out to Dr. Schnitker at Companion Animal Hospital. Dr. Schnitker and her team made us feel like VIP's from the moment we walked in! Dr. Schnitker was thorough, gentle, professional and kind. When given options for our cat’s treatment her explanations were clearly stated and represented with integrity. Our gamble was a jackpot!

Seriously one of the best vet experiences ever! The team is always so kind, patient, and knowledgeable! Our Labrador has had multiple ear infections and allergic reactions, and each time that we visited Companion of River North we received the most exceptional service. We have moved cities and have to find a new vet, and will miss the service at this Animal Hospital :(

DO NOT GO HERE! We noticed that our dog had some oil build up in his fur. My wife called and scheduled an appointment for 4:30. On her way to the appointment she called to tell them she was running late. Danielle (Vet tech) told her that their policy was to turn anyone away if they are more than 15 minutes late. She showed up at 4:41 and they turned her away. Despite being within the time frame that Danielle had told my wife on the phone, she was turned away. They refused to see our dog and told my wife to go somewhere else. We got an email from Companion (below) that the tech had misspoke. Our hurting dog was turned away because the tech had misspoke. It was absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional. We will not be going back and we advise that everyone stay clear of this office.
