My experience with the internal medicine department at this office was deeply disappointing and, ultimately, devastating. Throughout my pet’s treatment, there was little to no communication, and I had to constantly follow up just to get basic updates on his condition. Test results were not shared in a timely manner, and when I asked for clarification, I was repeatedly told that the doctor wasn’t available. I also attempted to speak with management, but despite my repeated calls, I was never able to get in touch with anyone who could actually help. There was no sense of urgency, no proactive communication—just complete indifference when my pet’s health was on the line. Tragically, my pet passed away, and I can’t help but feel that with more effort, care, and attention from this office, things could have been different. When you trust a specialist with your pet’s life, you expect thorough communication, compassion, and urgency—none of which I received. If you want a veterinary team that truly prioritizes your pet’s well-being, I would look elsewhere. In loving memory of my child, Greenie ❤️🩹

Feb 11, 2025 · NW BeautyGuruLong, but meaningful. On December first, tragedy struck when our boy Odin was attacked. We rushed him to CRVS, and they did everything they could to keep him as comfortable as possible while they determined our options. Ultimately, we had to say goodbye to our dear baby boy. It was incredibly difficult, but they helped us work through the options and showed us such kindness. Only two weeks later on December 14th our beloved Emmie was in respiratory distress. They kept her as calm as possible and updated us every step of the way. Unfortunately, she declined quickly and it was looking like a possible tumor on the airway. I’d had her my entire adult life, but it was time to let her rest. This was devastating, and the staff supported us through the surreal second time saying farewell to a cherished member of our family. All this to say - everyone there are literal angels on earth. They were so empathetic, gentle, and helped us navigate when we felt lost. Today we received a beautiful bouquet, with condolences for both our losses. That meant so much. Thank you CRVS. We are so grateful that you were the port we landed in during both of those storms.
Dec 20, 2024 · Brittany OlsenColumbia River Veterinary Specialists saved my dogs life and we couldn’t be more grateful. They saw him immediately when we brought him in, they were so good about giving us updates on his progress, allowing visitations, and all around treated our dog like their own. Thank you CRVS!
Jan 24, 2025 · Brooke GrovesI had a really amazing experience with the team at CRVS! My dog needed TPLO surgery, and after deciding to go with their expert team, we encountered some pretty intense complications with anesthesia. The team kept me informed and calm during some pretty dire hours for my dog’s health. They gave me options for diagnostics, and came up with an alternative plan for anesthesia for a second attempt at surgery. The team saw similar concerns on the second attempt and shut the procedure down before my dog was in danger. From there, they suggested that I find an office with an anesthesiologist to assist for this complicated surgery. Long story short - they gave me the care we needed, kept my informed and gave me realistic expectations, and in the end when they did all they could, they didn’t charge me exorbitant fees to diagnosing the issue, they sent me somewhere else to get the care he needed. Having had some insight into how truly challenging working in a vet office is, and being generally overworked due to lack of people in the field, it was easy to let a few small things go. Dr. Spencer was especially amazing. I wish I would have gotten more of the staffs name as they were great too. Be kind to all vet staffs! They do incredible jobs and a super challenging environment 💕
Dec 31, 2024 · Jordan H.We cannot thank CRVS enough for taking care of us with so much empathy and kindness. Unfortunately we have had to come here a few times for our cat’s hematoma and pup’s pneumonia. The front desk was always willing to find the doctor for an update anytime we called when our pup was hospitalized. Absolutely incredible staff that gave us a little peace of mind during an incredibly traumatic time, especially Dr.Valentyne!
