The positive experience suggests that Colony Animal Hospital offers routine and general veterinary services suitable for young animals, such as check-ups, vaccinations, and advice on puppy care.
Exotic Pet Care (Reptiles): A particularly noteworthy aspect is the mention of care provided to a "little leopard gecko" who was "pretty sick." The reviewer specifically praised the hospital for checking the gecko, removing shed, and providing medications. This indicates that Colony Animal Hospital has the expertise and willingness to treat exotic pets, specifically reptiles, which is not always the case in general veterinary practices. This could be a significant service for reptile owners in the area.

Accommodation and Responsiveness: The willingness to fit in an appointment quickly for a sick pet demonstrates a commitment to timely care.

Nov 27, 2024 · George KeenanMy little leopard gecko is pretty sick. The people at Colony Animal Hospital took such good care of her. They checked her out, removed shed & gave us some good medications. They were very kind to me as well. I was having a very difficult day in general. They offered me some coffee. And the cost was very reasonable. They managed to fit me into their schedule right away. I would trust them with my two beardies, three cats & dog as well.
Feb 17, 2025 · Erica SI don’t do many reviews, but I would be wrong not to give a review to this establishment. I'm an older person who never had to deal with a veterinarian before. Our cat named “Row” came home after apparently been in a fight in the evening of 1/7/25 with a progressive limp on his hind leg. He could hardly walk and in pain. The next day on 1/8/25 he was bleeding badly and I saw a gaping wound. It was mid afternoon, not knowing what vet to go to I went here to “Colony Animal Hospital”. Mainly because they are less than a mile away. I spoke the lady in the reception area and she was extremely helpful with information. She answered all questions and concerns I had. I set up an appointment to drop off Row in the morning for evaluation. They also gave the option to go to an emergency facility if I thought it was warranted. I instead comforted Row all night till his appointment. Once there it was easy, the office & Waiting area is like a regular Doctor office for humans, very clean and professional Once dropped off, we went home and got a call from Dr. Riggs on what needed to be `done, we had constant updates He was in recovery and out later that afternoon. He has stitches & wears safety cone. As of this writing “1/12/25 8:10PM. He is doing great. Walks with no limp and jumps on low things with no problem and a huge appetite. We rescued Row 2 ½ years ago and he had been a blessing to our home. On behalf of myself and my wife, we want to thank all the folks that helped us through this.
Jan 13, 2025 · Matty GColony Animal Hospital is excellent. Dr Riggs and her staff are very caring and professional. Aleah wasn’t feeling well lately and Dr Riggs took good care of her and now she is doing much better!
Feb 22, 2025 · kari stjohnThe whole team at Colony is amazing! They took such loving care of my cat Diamond after very severe burns on her feet. She used to be a friendly feral and was burned in an ash pit. She kept getting the bandages off and they patiently would see her again treat her feet and put the bandages back. I can't thank them enough!!! She is now a happy indoor former feral girl!!
