I've been bringing pets to Dr. McGee for nearly half my life, and I've never had a bad experience, even when the visit itself wasn't exactly pleasant (I've had to have pets euthanized in the past for tumors that were inoperable). I know that some people don't want to chat after a pet dies, but I'm glad Dr. McGee does. It helps bring back a sense of normalcy so I don't leave the clinic and drive home as an absolute mess. (I'm also an animal geek, which helps.) His care of exotic pets is excellent, and his prices are more than reasonable. I dropped off a sick ball python baby this morning, and I know he's going to take the time to do whatever he can to help, because he always does. I don't know where he gets all that energy, but he clearly loves what he does - it's not just a job for him. He sometimes even has rescue animals that have been surrendered (the baby opossums were my favorite). A tidbit from when I had to take a sick guinea pig to him over a decade ago: she died at the clinic (rodents don't show illness until it's almost too late because they're prey animals, so while it sucked, it wasn't much of a surprise) and had a huge liquid cyst on one of her kidneys that was seen during imaging. Dr. McGee sucked it out with a syringe and held it so that when I came to pick the animal up, he could show me because he had never seen it before (it looked like a glow stick that just wasn't giving off light - I STILL don't know what it was), and knew I would be interested. That's the kind of thing I'm talking about with his love of the job and wanting to share in talking about the animals he works with. It's refreshing.

Feb 16, 2024 · Bonnie BDr. McGee is phenomenal and we are so very grateful to have him care for our beloved dogs. He is always kind, extremely caring, and always up to date on the most current research and options for treatment. He has improved our sweet older lab’s quality of life so very much and can’t express how thankful we are.
Jan 31, 2025 · Alicia AutryWe took our dog in for an exam and met Dr. Ferguson. Wonderful and caring, funny too. The staff are friendly, helpful, and supportive. Then we needed their services again soon after, met Dr. Horne. He is awesome and caring, etc. I’m so glad we found this clinic!
Jan 11, 2025 · Joanne RobertsThey have done wonderful with all 3 of our large breed dogs, who have varying dispositions and personalities. They can be a little bit pricey on some things, but hey...it's worth it! Pets are family!
Jan 17, 2024 · Katy WrightI was here last year because my cat had cancer and they were the most reasonably priced. I also had her teeth cleaned while she was in surgery and since she's been so happy instead of lethargic and grumpy. Its been over a year and the cancer has not come back. She's still herself but has gotten so small. I went again and found out her labs were perfect but her thyroid levels were through the roof. They have in home lab testing so I was able to learn immediately. They thoroughly went over four options with me and the estimated costs. I've started on a recommended treatment and will see how it works. I'll be back in three weeks to see if there's any progress. The staff is very considerate, understanding and welcoming. My cat is 15 and I'll trust they do right by her. I've been to another vet since I moved go byhalia in olive branch and they do not compare.
