My name is Ms. Gilchrist. I took my dog for the first time to this animal hospital. Dr. Collard and her staff is outstanding! She's passionate, caring, extremely informative and has a very clean office and her prices are great. I highly recommend her hospital for every pets needs💞

Don't let this unassuming place fool you...they have the best vets and staff I have ever encountered in the 10 years I have had my dog. I have moved around a lot and have been to some large vet hospitals in Chicago, Indianapolis, Carmel, Mishawaka, and Michigan City, but this hospital has by far the kindest staff and vets, the most reasonable prices, and are on-target with their diagnoses and treatments. I drive to their clinic in Hammond even though I live in Chicago because of Dr. Collard's empathetic and exceptional care. I have to give a million thank yous to her for my dog's recovery last year when he became very ill with pancreatitis and contracted an infection. Nothing is forced or pushed here. When you call, you will always feel like they will try to give you the times you need, and when you show up, the staff is very respectful and courteous (especially Jackie!) The vets take time out to talk to you without discounting your concerns. They explain everything and give clear instructions and recommendations. They even have three clinic cats that are usually sleeping above the reception table which you may not even notice because they hardly move, even when my dog is barking. You will not be disappointed by this clinic's warm and gentle care.

My first experience there with my puppy was amazing !! Down home old time place that actually cares about your pets ....I am so glad I took the chance at bringing my less the 3 month old Great Pyrenees puppy Falcor here ...very happy with my first visit I will go nowhere else....and very reasonable might I add ... ❤️ The young lady that saw him the first time I recommend this place to everyone..

We are looking for a new Veterinarian. Just got off the phone with a staff member. I asked for a price to cut nails and clean Anal Gland on a 10 pound Miniature Long-Haired Dachshund, female. $59.00. Unbelievable. The Vet we were seeing retired in April. His price to clean ears, cut nails, clean Anal Gland, check teeth, and over all, visual, physical exam was $28.00. They wanted $30.00 to clean A.G. Our Vet showed me how to do this, and I have been doing this for the past 5 months. If properly done, will take about 20 seconds. Com'n Hammond Pet Hospital, why the Rip-Off? Semper Fi.

I've been taking all my animals here for years, and have always experienced a fine level of professionalism and genuine care for my cats and dogs. Oh, and they care for me when I worry! Recommended!
