I have been going here for years! I've never really had a problem until we got a new puppy and took him here to be checked out. They didn't do a baseline blood test the first time we went. The second time we went, I voiced my concerns about my puppies' extreme breathing issues along with gaging and coughing. I told them he was panting after playing for well over an hour or more! They told me that it is "normal" in puppies and brushed my concerns to the side. I took my puppy to another place for a second opinion. Turns out he has lyme disease AND phnemonia AND whipworms!! They also tested his kidney levels, and they are elevated! How do you just brush away concerns like that? I will never take any of my dogs back to this place ever again!! You shouldn't either!

Cloud Park Animal Clinic Introduce
This introduction provides an objective overview of Cloud Park Animal Clinic, a Pet Hospital located at 4638 Brandt Pike, Dayton, OH 45424, USA. While operating within the category of providing veterinary care and potentially selling related goods and services, recent customer feedback available online raises several significant concerns that local users should carefully consider. For inquiries, Cloud Park Animal Clinic can be reached at the phone number (937) 723-9207 or the mobile phone number +1 937-723-9207.
Based on the recent reviews from real customers, the environment and services at Cloud Park Animal Clinic have been described in a predominantly negative light. It is crucial for potential clients to be aware of these experiences as they consider this facility for their pet's healthcare needs.
One recurring issue highlighted in the reviews is the perceived lack of thoroughness in medical examinations and the potential for misdiagnosis. One customer recounts taking their new puppy to the clinic for a check-up, where a baseline blood test was allegedly not performed on the initial visit. On a subsequent visit, the owner voiced significant concerns about the puppy's extreme breathing issues, gagging, and coughing, even noting excessive panting after minimal activity. These concerns were reportedly dismissed as "normal" puppy behavior. Seeking a second opinion at another veterinary practice, the puppy was diagnosed with Lyme disease, pneumonia, whipworms, and elevated kidney levels – multiple serious conditions that were apparently overlooked or dismissed at Cloud Park Animal Clinic. This experience raises serious questions about the clinic's diagnostic protocols and the attentiveness of the medical staff to pet owners' concerns.
Another significant area of concern revolves around the professionalism and demeanor of the administrative staff, specifically the receptionist. Multiple reviews describe the receptionist as "astonishingly rude," both in person and over the phone. This individual's behavior is described as consistently unpleasant, even when clients attempt to be extra polite in anticipation of rudeness. Such negative interactions with the front office staff can significantly impact a client's overall experience and perception of the veterinary practice, potentially deterring them from seeking necessary care for their pets.
Furthermore, some customers have expressed dissatisfaction with the clinic's financial practices and policies. One reviewer felt that they were subjected to "unnecessary fees" and encountered a rigid "that's just how we do things" attitude, leading to a loss of trust in the clinic's services. This suggests a lack of transparency or flexibility in billing and service delivery, which can be a major point of contention for pet owners who are often already facing significant expenses for veterinary care.
Inflexibility in accommodating the needs of individual pets was another issue raised. One owner of a large dog reported that the clinic was unwilling to allow their pet to stand on the floor during examinations, despite the dog's anxiety on the elevated metal table. The clinic staff reportedly indicated an unwillingness to bend over, prioritizing their own convenience over the comfort and well-being of the animal. This lack of accommodation for a pet's specific needs and anxieties can create unnecessary stress for both the animal and the owner, detracting from the quality of care.
One particularly telling review offers a lukewarm endorsement, stating that the clinic will "do" if one "absolutely need to get something done," but advises managing expectations. This suggests that while the clinic may provide basic services, the overall experience and quality of care may not meet the standards expected by many pet owners.
Given these consistent negative reviews highlighting potential issues with diagnostic thoroughness, staff professionalism, billing practices, and flexibility in patient care, local users should exercise caution and consider these points carefully when choosing a veterinary provider for their pets. While the clinic operates as a Pet Hospital and likely offers a range of standard veterinary services such as vaccinations, routine check-ups, and treatment for common ailments, the reported experiences suggest potential shortcomings in the delivery of these services and in client communication.
Due to the absence of any positive feedback or specific details about the environment beyond the negative interactions with staff, it is challenging to provide a balanced description. Similarly, no information regarding specific services offered or any promotional offers is available in the provided data. Therefore, this introduction must primarily focus on the concerns raised by recent customer experiences.
In conclusion, while Cloud Park Animal Clinic is listed as a Pet Hospital in Dayton, OH, the recent customer reviews paint a concerning picture. Potential clients should be aware of reported issues including potential misdiagnosis due to a lack of thoroughness, a rude and unprofessional receptionist, perceived unnecessary fees and inflexible policies, and a lack of accommodation for individual pet needs. The overall sentiment suggests a need to manage expectations significantly if considering this clinic for veterinary care. Local users are strongly advised to weigh these negative experiences carefully against their own expectations and potentially seek alternative veterinary care providers in the Dayton area to ensure the health, well-being, and positive experience for their beloved pets.

Mar 24, 2025 · Teri LedfordI have brought my animals here a couple times. The receptionist has only ever been astonishingly rude, both in person and over the phone. I really don't think she's a good person to represent and interact with the public on behalf of the business. Have you ever anticipated someone to be rude so you're extra nice and prepared? Doesn't make a difference here. I feel that unnecessary fees and the "that's just how we do things" experience makes me lose trust in their services. They had no flexibility with my large dog who would do well if he could stand on the floor (doesn't like the 4 foot high metal table), but they were clear they didn't want to bend over. For the price of veterinarian care, I wish I could not be so disappointed each time I take them in. I'm not giving an extra star, but I will say, if you absolutely need to get something done this place will do. Just manage your expectations is my advice.
Jan 10, 2025 · Yasmine SimpsonWOW! Never been treated so horribly by another person in my life and I was in the military... The receptionist has to be the most rude individual I have ever met. From the second I walked in the door for my APPOINTMENT she says "hm. We might not have time for you actually." When I go in the back to work with the vets, she is continually making comments about me while I'm not there (I can hear you through the door!). I would definitely come back if it wasn't for the receptionist. She left me shaking in anger. What on earth. How is this woman employed? Single handedly ruined my experience
