I will be switching all of my animals over to this vet. The owner of the vet office was very sweet. My dog needed to be held on his side to be treated for a wound, they were very gentle with him. They did a great job cleaning the wound and giving proper after care instructions. The lady’s at the front desk were also fabulous.

We found this veterinary clinic in 2019 when we moved to the north Hall area close to Claremont. This place came highly recommended. I will say, being a man that grew up in the country, it didn’t bother me when I came over here and the place was filthy and smelled like animal feces no matter where you go. It also didn’t bother me that their waiting room is so small that if you have a big dog or any other animal that doesn’t get along well with other animals, it’s a fiasco. I put all that aside because the staff was generally very friendly, you could always get somebody on the phone, and the older Dr That I saw who used to own the place was a really nice man. We had two dogs neutered here with no problems. But the last time I came, I brought my pitbull who has been very sick and had Heartworms when he was nine years old. He’s now 11 1/2 years old. We noticed that the staff is completely changed, and they are very unfriendly. This place is also expensive and the vet actually pushes Parina dog food which is made in China and made fun of me to my face that I spend money on expensive dog food for my dogs. It pissed me off. Between the snarky conversation that that vet had with me, and the fact that every inch of that place is unsanitary to the point, you would think they would be shut down, my wife and I decided we were gonna find another vet. Unfortunately, our beautiful pitbull of 11 1/2 years became so ill last night that we hoped he would die In the night. Even though he was still alive this morning he was so very sick. We knew we would have to put him down. It was a result of the heartworm treatment from 2 1/2 years ago. It’s common that dogs will end up with congestive heart failure because of the damage the worms due to their heart. When we called, the conversation was very clinical and not a bit of warmth or even a condolence. They quoted us pricing for having him cremated, etc., and we decided to have him put down and cremated. We picked him up and took him to the vet. We arrived at approximately 8:15 AM and noticed, sadly, there was another couple that had just pulled in who was having their German Shepherd put down. They brought a stretcher out and carried them in. The couple wasn’t in there more than 15 minutes, came out crying and we gave them our condolences. It was a very sad scene, but it helped us to put in perspective that other people are suffering, just like us. We all love our animals. Then, we sat there for about 15 minutes in the parking lot and it’s 26° outside, waiting for them to come get our dog. I finally went in and they said the other dog had thrown up and they were cleaning the station up. Another 10 minutes, went by and they came out, and I picked our dog up and carried him in. They gave him the sedative to put him to sleep and then there’s a second shot that they give them that euthanizes them. I said my goodbyes before they gave him the shot to put him to sleep and my wife remained with him. I stayed out in the parking lot for more than 15 minutes. I went inside and asked what was going on and they said the doctor had a surgery And he went to go do the surgery before he would give my dog the final shot. So they’re my wife is sitting in the waiting room by herself and finally she came out and asked them what was going on and they said the doctors in surgery and we basically had to leave our dog on the table asleep but not dead. Am I supposed to believe that the doctor couldn’t have taken 2 to 3 minutes to give my dog the final shot so that we would know he had passed before we left? In conclusion: The young doctor, and I don’t even know his name, is arrogant, the staff is unfriendly and won’t even make eye contact with you, the entire clinic from top to bottom is filthy and stinks like animal feces. I don’t know what happened to this place but I highly advise that you stay away from it. I think the older Dr retired and the younger one took over and the guy is an arrogant ass. Find another vet.

Receptionist and vet tech were wonderful, but the Veterinarian on duty was not kind to us or our dog. Our dog is already scared of vets, having to have emergency surgery only two weeks ago. The Vet tried holding him down after seeing he was nervous/scared until the point he was yelping in fear/pain and then continued to hold him down. The vet did not try having other staff members or owners distract the dog with treats (which would have worked) before roughly restraining him. This made me very nervous about his stitches. I had heard good things about this vet, but did not have the experience I was expecting. I will not be returning.

I was hesitant to write this but after reading other reviews I think people should know. We had two 6 month old cats (both boys if that matters). We dropped Cheeto off and was expecting some complications as he was the runt of the litter and reacts to EVERYTHING. We didn't have money for the heart and blood test and the young girl that I had the "consult" with when dropping him off said "I wouldn't worry about it". We received a call around noon stating that Cheeto was fine and we can come get him. Great! About 2 weeks later we dropped of Stubby for the same procedure. They said we would get a call around noon but that never happened. I got busy at work and realized it was already 2:00 and my heart dropped. I called the vet to check on him and the lady that answered was extremely nice and could hear the panic in my voice when I was told "I need to have the doctor call you personally" but told me he was fine. I received the call imminently after and he told me that Stubby did great then had quite breathing shortly after the surgery and there was nothing they could do after that. They weren't going to let us know until we showed up to get him I suppose. When I got there to get him I was brought back imminently and he of course apologized but then followed with comments like "this is why we strongly advise the heart and blood work" "I haven't had a cat die on my table in years, just happened to be that cat today" "don't worry this is hard on us too" I just sat there saying okay because there was no point in arguing the damage had already been done. I was not asked to pay which we are grateful for. The way he reacted and wouldn't even refer to Stubby using his name, just "it" or "the cat" really put a bad taste in my mouth and we will never know what really happen in the surgery. As much as I hate to say it of course they can say it was cardio because they had a piece of paper that I signed declining the test. And it may have been but Stubby was healthy as an ox and the doctors manner towards me afterward basically blaming it on me instead of sympathizing made everything worse. I moved to Cleveland about a year ago but my boyfriend and his family has always used this vet but we will be looking elsewhere from now on giving this event. This would have been a better situation if the doctor did not act as he did. I really hope no one else goes through this so I wanted to write the review to let everyone know our experience with this particular doctor. I know there are others there I just haven't had any interaction with them but have heard good things.
