I brought my new puppy to Clays Mill Vet Clinic in 2012 and they provided great care for a new puppy and communication to a new puppy owner. Unfortunately, I moved away for a decade. When I returned to Lexington I started going to Clays Mill again with my old dog. The vet techs were so understanding and compassionate. My dog was diagnosed with an enlarged spleen right away at Clays Mill, even though she'd had it for years. The vets explained what tests were needed and why, then we verbally went down roads for possible treatment. The vet tech even called my the next day to see how we were holding up. They saved my dog's life and I got another 2 great years with her! Again, unfortunately, my dog got old and sick, and we had to put her down. The weeks leading up to her euthanasia were the hardest I've ever had, but Clays Mill communicated so well with my emails, calls, and visits. I talked to someone at least weekly and the vets and techs talked me through so much of what medications did what, how it would help her body, and what to expect. I often called the next day with more questions, and the vet called me back to answer them all, waiting patiently if I had any more. I highly recommend Clays Mill Vet Clinic and will take my future pets there if in the Lexington area! All staff: vets, receptionists, and techs are knowledgeable, compassionate, and understanding!

We have trusted the staff of Clays Mill Vet and Dr Blair with our dogs for over a decade. They are very patient focused and kind. Dr Blair and staff were especially compassionate when we had to put our Old Man Hound to sleep. I will continue to recommend their services.

Dr. Blair and the assistants/techs (I'm sorry we are very bad at remembering names) that accompanied him to our home for an appointment were awesome and did such a great job with our senior dog who has a history of anxiety/fear around office visits. Everything was explained thoroughly from the diagnosis and treatment plan to the follow up and and billing. I would highly recommend Clays Mill Vet Clinic to my family and friends.
