The staff at Clark Veterinary are exceptional. We’ve recently returned to using them for our pet care after leaving the practice a few years back. They’re wonderful routine health maintenance visits. However, we’re now dealing with a new chronic illness with our dog and have needed them recently for an urgent issue with our cat. They have listened carefully to my concerns, provided thorough examinations, and are clear when as they presented our options for care. We’ve also used them for euthanasia and they could not have provided a better experience for our family.

The hospital is part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare network, which further solidifies its commitment to high standards of care. A significant feature of Clark Veterinary Hospital is its AAHA accreditation, a prestigious recognition from the American Animal Hospital Association. This accreditation means the hospital voluntarily undergoes regular evaluations to ensure it meets over 900 rigorous standards in areas like patient care, cleanliness, safety, technology, and client communication. Less than 15% of veterinary practices in North America achieve this distinction, highlighting Clark Veterinary Hospital's dedication to excellence.

The environment at Clark Veterinary Hospital is consistently praised for being exceptionally welcoming, professional, and empathetic, specifically designed to minimize stress for pets. Clients frequently commend the staff for their kindness, patience, and genuine care. A testament to this is the experience of a client with a "nervous and 'spicy'" coonhound who "didn't go over threshold once" during his visit, thanks to the staff's gentle approach. Another heartwarming review highlights how the doctor and vet tech got onto the floor to administer shots to a new puppy, making both the puppy and the owners "so comfortable." This dedication to a low-stress environment is further underscored by their commitment to Fear Free® veterinary care. This means the entire team is trained in techniques and protocols to ensure visits are as calm and comfortable as possible for both pets and their owners, fostering a positive experience that can significantly reduce anxiety associated with vet visits. The hospital provides ample parking in a safe, low-traffic area, adding to the convenience and ease of access for clients.

Clark Veterinary Hospital offers an extensive array of services, making it a comprehensive "Pet Hospital" equipped to handle a wide range of medical needs for dogs and cats. Their services include both routine health maintenance and specialized care, focusing on preventative medicine and early intervention:

They also provide ultrasounds and specialize in OFA X-rays for orthopedic evaluations, providing crucial insights for accurate diagnoses.

  • Surgical Services: The hospital performs a vast sub-section of veterinary medicine, from routine spay and neuter procedures to complex orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries. As part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare network, they can access both primary care surgical services and specialty-level surgical expertise.

  • Veterinary Orthopedics: They utilize advanced therapies and research in the field of orthopedics, including CrCL (cruciate ligament) surgeries like TPLO (Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy) surgery, fracture repair, and other innovative devices to improve or conserve a pet's mobility after injury, illness, or age-related conditions.

  • End-Of-Life Care: Highly praised by clients, they provide compassionate medical assistance and emotional support during this sensitive time, ensuring a peaceful experience for pets and their families.

  • Microchipping: This service offers permanent identification for pets, significantly increasing the chances of reunion if they go missing.

  • Nail Trims: Routine nail trims are available to maintain paw health and comfort.

  • Urgent Care: While not a 24/7 emergency hospital, they are equipped to handle urgent issues during their regular business hours, providing immediate attention for unexpected medical needs.

The features that truly distinguish Clark Veterinary Hospital include its century-long legacy in the community, reflecting deep trust and dedication. The AAHA accreditation and Fear Free certification are powerful indicators of their commitment to the highest standards of care and patient comfort. The hospital's ability to provide both routine health maintenance and advanced services like in-house ultrasounds, orthopedic surgery, and specialty surgery access through the Thrive Pet Healthcare network means pet owners often won't need to go elsewhere for complex care. The emphasis on clear communication and providing thorough examinations, as highlighted by client reviews dealing with chronic illness, underscores their dedication to client education and collaborative decision-making. Their compassionate approach to sensitive moments like euthanasia further showcases their holistic care philosophy. The long operating hours, including Saturday mornings, provide flexibility for busy pet owners.

We brought our new puppy for her 1st vet visit since we rescued her and both my wife and I couldn't stop talking how nice everyone was. We both loved that the doctor and vet tech got onto the floor to give our pup her shots and it made her and us so comfortable. Highly recommend them!!!!

I recently took my cat to Clark Veterinary Hospital for the first time as a new cat owner. I was impressed by the friendly and welcoming atmosphere at the clinic. Dr. Clemmer treated us with kindness and professionalism. She demonstrated high levels of knowledge and was gentle with my cat, taking the time to go at his pace. I appreciated that she patiently answered all of my questions without making me feel rushed. I was also pleased with the information I received about their membership and pet insurance options. What I liked most was that I never felt pressured to commit to anything unnecessary, and they were transparent about costs, keeping my budget in mind. Overall, I had a fantastic experience at Clark Veterinary Hospital and would highly recommend it to other pet owners. I feel confident leaving my cat in their care, which means a lot to me. 😻

Cat Sarno I was looking for a compassionate, inexpensive vet who cared about the animals and not the money, and I found it in Clark Veterinary Hospital in Nashua NH. My fur baby was sick to his stomach for 2 days, and even though I wasn't a client yet, the staff eased my anxiety, handled my puppers with care and didn't break the bank. They worked with me and were extremely helpful in all aspects. Shout out to the Tech Justice.
