This Dr. was amazing, My husband has been taking my cat back and forth to the vets for about 2 years and the animal ER, they kept on saying nothing was wrong with her that she just had allergies. Well this doctor knew exactly what was wrong with her, thanks to him she is looking and feeling so so much better. Thank you Dr. Fincher so much. My Jasmine means so much to me as my parent both died within 3 months of each other and she is all I have left of theirs. She has helped me so much with my grieving of my parents, she keeps me going.

Animal Medical Services, where Dr. Clark Fincher practices, is described as a full-service veterinary hospital. While specific details about the interior decor or waiting room amenities are not extensively detailed, a facility of this nature typically prioritizes cleanliness, organization, and a welcoming atmosphere. The reviews suggest a professional and caring environment where staff, including the front desk, are "nice and helpful." This indicates a focus on client comfort and efficient service. The clinic's commitment to providing high-quality medical care in a respectful and decent manner for both pets and their owners suggests a thoughtful approach to the overall clinic environment. The fact that the clinic has been around for a significant period (Dr. Fincher's family history in veterinary medicine dates back to 1960) implies a stable and well-established practice, likely with a focus on a long-term, family-friendly atmosphere that fosters trust and comfort for visiting pets and their owners.

- Preventative Care Services: Including vaccinations to protect against common diseases, parasite control (fleas, ticks, heartworm), and nutritional counseling.

Dr. Clark Fincher himself is a highly distinguishing feature of this veterinary practice. He graduated from North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1989, but his veterinary career began much earlier, growing up in a family deeply rooted in veterinary medicine. His late father, Dr. Donald S. Fincher, started practicing in 1960 and founded Galax Veterinary Clinic in 1966 and Animal Medical Services in 1994. This generational legacy contributes to a "long-time family friendly atmosphere" that Dr. Fincher cherishes and continues to uphold.
Customer reviews strongly emphasize Dr. Fincher's exceptional diagnostic skills and compassionate approach. One review highlights his ability to "exactly" identify the problem with a cat suffering for two years, where other vets had failed, leading to a significant improvement in the cat's health. This demonstrates a high level of expertise and dedication to finding solutions for challenging cases.
Another prominent feature is the outstanding customer service, even before a visit. A client specifically praised the "nice and helpful" front desk lady who provided "prices and things to try before bringing my dog in," actively attempting to "save me money" with "very good tips and advice." This level of empathy, transparency regarding costs, and proactive guidance on pet care is a significant advantage and builds strong trust with pet owners. This aligns with the clinic's stated mission to partner with clients in nurturing the human-animal bond by providing compassionate, expert, and affordable veterinary care.
The availability of 24/7 emergency services, with a veterinarian on call, further emphasizes their commitment to being there for pets in critical times, providing peace of mind for pet owners.
While no specific time-limited promotional offers are explicitly stated in the provided information, the clinic's operational approach and the positive feedback from customers serve as a strong form of promotion. Key aspects that would appeal to potential clients include:
- Expertise in Diagnosis: For pets with complex or long-standing health issues, Dr. Fincher's proven track record of accurate diagnosis is a major draw.
- Compassionate and Client-Focused Service: The emphasis on helpful, friendly staff and transparent communication about costs and treatment options makes the clinic a welcoming and trustworthy choice.
