Hello. This note is a little tardy but better late than never. Our experience with CityPets614 has been positive all around. From the vets, receptionists, technicians and support staff, we have nothing but good things to say. Let me explain. We’re far from home here in Columbus. For the past six years my wife worked as a travel nurse and we moved from city to city every three to six months, crossing the country several times, finally landing in Columbus a year ago for family reasons. Our pup Reese was nine when we started, a reluctant traveler who never took to driving but always game for new adventures - his first was mastering stairs - an obstacle he’d never encountered at our desert home in Arizona. In those six years he walked with us along beaches in Monterrey, Big Sur, Santa Monica, south Florida and the rocky coasts of northern Maine; tramped through the redwoods in California, the forests of New Hampshire, Vermont, eastern North Carolina and the ponderosa high country of Arizona; we explored the Canyonlands of southern Utah, the Mojave desert in Nevada; strolled the empty streets of LA during Covid, and swam in the Colorado below the great dams. He was a constant companion, a comforting presence, a big joyful personality in a little dog. He started slowing down a little over a year ago. His eyes grew cloudy and his energy waned. His interest in walking declined and more and more of his days were spent sleeping. Steroids helped after he was diagnosed with lymphoma but that too was temporary. Soon his appetite soured and he could no longer keep his food down. On Christmas Eve we made the decision. In our time in Columbus we've been fortunate to find CityPets. For the previous thirty years we’d had the same vet for our horses, goats, cats, dogs, etc. Even on the road, we’d make sure to swing by Tucson once or twice a year so he could see Reese. We couldn’t imagine being comfortable with any other vet. We were wrong. From the first time we took Reese to CityPets we were warmly welcomed and impressed with the service and attention to detail. This was reinforced with repeat visits and the easy access we had when calling with questions. On that last day we were a mess and I can’t overstate how much we appreciated the kindness extended to us by all the staff we encountered. They helped make a miserable day more bearable. We can’t thank you enough. We’ve always lived on remote properties with acreage. Our country vet would come to the house if necessary and when our companions passed we’d lay them to rest under the shade of a mesquite or palo verde. In Columbus, we had no place for Reese and that thought broke my heart. Here, CityPets helped us out again by connecting us with "Forever Friends", another organization for which we have high praise. We had to take my cat in for same-day care here, and ended up sticking with them as our regular vet as their service has been fantastic! Staff has always been so kind and welcoming whenever we've been in and we've never had any issues getting the appointment times we needed. Would highly recommend them for anyone looking for care for their pets!

John the groomer always does a great job with our dogs. I know they are in good hands! I highly recommend city pets for your grooming needs!

I cannot say enough good things about everyone at CityPets614. We’ve been coming here for almost a year and we consistently receive excellent care, and every person working there is kind, knowledgeable, compassionate, and eager to help. But our visit today was particularly special. We just went in for routine vaccinations for my poodle, but the staff were so incredibly invested in my dog’s overall health and wellbeing that we ended up receiving comprehensive training advice and guidance for how we can make vet visits, grooming, and day to day training more comfortable and less scary for my dogs who struggle with anxiety. Taylor, in particular, blew me away with her knowledge of dog behavior, health, and grooming, as well as her thoughtfulness, and patience and compassion towards me and my dog. She took extra time (like, 30+ minutes!) to sit with my dog for as long as she needed to be comfortable and allow petting. She celebrated my dog, loved on her, and took the time to get to know her and offer all the support and help we needed for future appointments and grooming. Taylor was also incredibly resourceful and then connected me to her colleague at CityPets, Kaysea, who is absolutely an expert trainer, to support us with our training needs when I mentioned what we are working on. Kaysea then listened to me and offered incredibly insightful training advice on how to make progress with my dog. We made a plan to do “happy visits” so my dogs can drop by and get comfortable with the vet, as well as long term training plans to work on my dog’s anxiety. If anyone out there has a dog who is less than excited to be at the vet, make sure you go to Citypets. Ask for Taylor and Kaysea. By the end of our appointment, my dog was relaxed, sleeping, and playing with her toy in the exam room. Absolutely amazing. It feels so good to receive excellent care from thoughtful professionals, and Taylor and Kaysea and the front desk staff went above and beyond today with me to meet all my needs. My dog and I are so grateful. 14/10 ⭐️
