I am beyond grateful for Dr. Hoarsey and the amazing team at City Limits Vet! My dog, Angel, has struggled with skin infections, and finding the right care has been a challenge—until we came here. Dr. Hoarsey took the time to truly listen, assess Angel’s condition, and develop a treatment plan that has made such a difference. Not only is Dr. Hoarsey incredibly knowledgeable, but she’s also compassionate and patient, making sure Angel was comfortable throughout the entire visit. The staff is just as wonderful—friendly, professional, and always ready to help. They genuinely care about their patients, and it shows in every interaction. Thanks to their dedication, Angel is feeling so much better, and I have peace of mind knowing she’s in the best hands. If you’re looking for a vet who truly goes above and beyond, I highly recommend Dr. Hoarsey and City Limits Vet! They’ve made such a difference in Angel’s life, and I couldn’t be more thankful.

Welcome to City Limits Vet Clinic

Welcome to City Limits Vet Clinic, your local Pet Hospital located at 8715 W Parmer Ln Building 2 Suite 110 in Austin, Texas. We aim to provide comprehensive veterinary care for your beloved animal companions. Our team includes experienced veterinarians such as Dr. Hoarsey and Dr. Chris Faggioni.

Based on feedback from pet owners, City Limits Vet Clinic offers a range of services, and the experiences shared highlight different aspects of the care provided. One pet owner expressed immense gratitude for Dr. Hoarsey and the entire team. Their dog, Angel, had been struggling with skin infections, and this owner found the right care at City Limits Vet Clinic. They specifically praised Dr. Hoarsey for taking the time to listen, thoroughly assess Angel’s condition, and develop an effective treatment plan that significantly improved Angel's health. This reviewer also noted Dr. Hoarsey's knowledge, compassion, and patience, emphasizing that Angel was kept comfortable throughout the visit. The staff was described as friendly, professional, and genuinely caring. This positive experience led the owner to highly recommend Dr. Hoarsey and City Limits Vet Clinic for those seeking a vet who "truly goes above and beyond."

However, another pet owner shared a contrasting experience. This individual described the clinic as "cold, impersonal, and disorienting." They recounted a situation where the guidance of a previous vet was allegedly disregarded, leading to a confusing change in their cat's care months into treatment. When they suggested supportive treatments like vitamins and supplements, they felt dismissed and condescended to, despite their cat having thrived previously. This owner reported feeling so uncomfortable that they were already seeking a new vet. Tragically, their cat's condition worsened, necessitating a final visit to City Limits Vet Clinic. During this critical time, they perceived a pronounced indifference and lack of compassion from the staff, which deeply unsettled even their reserved husband. This reviewer expressed relief that their cat did not pass away at the clinic and conveyed their upset at Dr. Chris Faggioni's public statements about loving geriatric kitties, feeling it was insincere given their experience. Ultimately, this reviewer advised others to "think twice" before bringing their pets to City Limits Vet Clinic, particularly for end-of-life care.

Considering these differing perspectives, City Limits Vet Clinic, as a Pet Hospital, appears to offer medical services for pets, potentially including the diagnosis and treatment of conditions like skin infections, as well as end-of-life care. Features highlighted by one positive review include:

  • Knowledgeable veterinarians, such as Dr. Hoarsey, who take the time to listen and develop treatment plans.
  • Compassionate and patient care, ensuring the comfort of the animal.
  • Friendly and professional staff who genuinely care about their patients.

On the other hand, a negative review described a "cold, impersonal" environment and a perceived lack of compassion, particularly in end-of-life situations. It also mentioned a disagreement regarding treatment approaches.

Given the available information, it's challenging to provide a comprehensive list of all services offered or details about the clinic's environment beyond the contrasting descriptions in the reviews. Potential services typically found at a Pet Hospital might include routine check-ups, vaccinations, diagnostics, surgery, and dental care, but these are not explicitly mentioned in the provided text.

For local users in Austin, TX, who are considering City Limits Vet Clinic, we present these varying experiences to provide a balanced view. If you are seeking a vet who is described as knowledgeable and compassionate in addressing specific health issues like skin infections, Dr. Hoarsey and her team have received positive feedback in this regard. However, it is also important to be aware of the concerns raised by another pet owner regarding the clinic's environment and approach to geriatric and end-of-life care.

Avoid City Limits Veterinary Clinic. This is not a place of care or warmth, it’s cold, impersonal, and disorienting. After disregarding the thoughtful guidance of my previous vet, Dr. Siri Horsley and Dr. Chris Faggioni put me through a confusing reversal of course months into my cat’s care. When I brought up supportive treatments, vitamins, supplements, and preventative measures, they were dismissive and condescending, even though my cat had been thriving prior to becoming their patient. I felt so uncomfortable in their presence that I had already begun looking for a new veterinary provider. Tragically, before I could make that change, my cat's condition deteriorated and I was forced to return to City Limits for their final visit. In that most vulnerable and critical moment, their indifference became even more pronounced. The lack of compassion was so unmistakable, that even my husband, who is a very practical and reserved person, was unsettled by their coldness. I'm thankful my cat did not have to die in that clinic, surrounded by people so emotionally absent. It is deeply upsetting to see Dr. Chris Faggioni publicly claim that he “loves geriatric kitties.” That statement feels like a cruel joke after what we experienced, especially by him. In my experience, he is not someone I would entrust with any animal, let alone one at the end of life. Please think twice before taking your pets here.

We love City limits Vet Clinic. Bella is well taken care by all the Vets here. We have seen all the Vets and they are equally as great. They are very knowledgeable, thorough, very accommodating to answer all of our questions to help us understand our pet’s health better being new paw parents, and make recommendations for us too. The receptionist and technicians are very prompt and polite too. Our favorite technician is Shane as he is always so passionate with his job, very detail in explaining how to administer the medication and provide us with the materials. Bella was spayed and the next day, they will call, follow up and check how is she. We are so thankful to have them to care for Bella. Keep it up guys, y’all are doing awesome!

We were absolutely THRILLED with the team at City Limits! They catered to our pup, made sure that she was comfortable and happy during her trip, and even got on the floor to examine her at her comfort level! We had a great time, and so did our girl — check out her wink for the camera during her exam ❤️

My sweet girl and I recently made the move to Austin from Corpus Christi, and were in search of a new vet for her. With new vet searching, comes the anxiety on my end of whether or not she will be receiving great care - and City Limits Vet Clinic didn't let me down! Dr. Faggioni and his staff treated her with such great patience and love, explained everything they were doing so I understood, gave me advice, and listened to and treated all of my concerns. I am so happy with the entire staff and environment, and my Chloe girl is too!
